HolyHandGrenade Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Lady Cobra was one that took a while to get used to for me. Since it's near the end of Dos, I was getting worn out by the guitar overload and yet another song with about a girl. Coming back to it later, it sounds like a funkier, improved alternative to Ashley. Other songs on my list would be Extraordinary Girl, Whatshername, Worry Rock, King for a Day, She, and most of Kerplunk (I loved 2000LYA from the start).
Forever Now Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Never used to like Ashely. Been listening to it all day now! Really great song.
Drop Dead Hideous Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 troublemaker. Preview was horrible.
localinsomniac Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Brutal Love and The Static Age. I couldn't stand either of them on the first few listens, and I think in both cases it was because of the key change toward the end. That always throws me for a loop, but they both really have grown on me.
musso_kn Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Platypus (I hate you) and Take Back kind of threw me the first time I heard them. I wasn't really used to that much aggression and screaming. Now I adore both.
LazyPhil Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Missing You grew a lot on me, didn't like it when I first heard it but now I think it's a really great song!
cj_unoxx Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Wild One grew on me, at first I thought it was too slow but after listening to it later on i really enjoyed it
BlueWingPack Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 She I never liked the song but when i saw them live for the first time they performed it. After that concert i couldnt get enough of the song and now i love it.
nothing_wrong_with_me Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Stop When The Red Lights Flash - I did'nt like it very much at first because I thought it was boring but after I saw some videos of them performing it live, I like that song now!
BJA_SA Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Let Yourself Go, Before The Lobotomy, Jesus Of Suburbia, Warning, Hitchin a ride & Longview
Guest Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 21st Century Breakdown [the album, not the song]. I really didn't like it that much when it came out but it's slowly growing on me.
EggMong Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 The Sweet Children EP has grown on me a lot recently! I used to think it was awful but I actually quite like it now! I mean, it's not my favorite but I still enjoy listening to it.
Slave To The Network Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 A lot from Nimrod, homecoming, Extraordinary Girl, ¿Viva la Gloria? (Little Girl), Peacemaker, Restless Heart Syndrome, Wow! That's Loud, and Dirty Rotten Bastards. I'm sure there are others, but that's all I can think of right now.
Owlcharm Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Brain stew (yeah I know what was wrong with me!!!) it's one of my favorites now. Take back used to scare me when I was little and I hated it. And I DESPISED kill the dj when it came out. I think it's a great song now. Also Nightlife, I hated the effects on Billie's voice. I thought that rap was dumb, but I appreciate that song now!!!
TheJedi Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I used to think Who Wrote Holden Caulfield was boring, now it's one of my favorites
LucasNxs Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 All songs on the album except for the Wild One and See You Tonigh tAll Music Album Tré (now I like them all) Peacemaker Horseshoes and Handgrenades Whatsername (this song describes my time, Insane!) Extraordinary Girl Homecoming The Grouch 86 and some other
Ham Pascale Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Rest, Haushinka, Android, Emenius Sleepus, Carpe Diem
The Grohl Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Just about all of their first two albums had to grow on me.
HolyHandGrenade Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Everything from Kerplunk, Last Night on Earth, and Brutal Love are songs that I didn't really think of as Green Day's "sound" in the past, but the more I played them, the more I understood them.
StPaul Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Extraordinary Girl. Never got the long weird intro on it and found the song quite dull once it finally got to it. But once I started to listen to it a bit more it did grow on me quite a bit.
Unholy Sister of Grace Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I used to not care too much for She, but one night I was listening to it and it hit me that the bassline in the beginning is perfect and now it's great
