Abbey. Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 How about Awesome As, Fuck Green Day that was brilliant.
November's Storms Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I doubt they would have chosen Tokyo if they didn't think Billie's voice was 100%
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 ^ Unless they made the decision for Tokyo before the actual show happened, which is likely. As much as I would love rarities on it, I do hope they put BoBD on the DVD. That song was just amazing live this tour. Good chance they will put it on there, so that's nice. How about Awesome As, Fuck Green Day Awesome Ass, Fuck Green Day?
November's Storms Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 True. I do love how on this tour BOBD was more Billie conducting the crowd to sing it more than just him singing it. As good a song as it is, its quite slow and playing it live has the possibility to suck the energy out of the show. But of course Green Day wouldn't let that happen, so singing it live is a great way for the audience to stay involved and interested. Nice one Billie

pasalaska Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I wonder when they will release the cover art and tracklist for this... can anyone remember how long before 21CB came out its art was released? I'm still gunning for a photo from Denver with the AAF signs to be in there
Sanity Loan Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I wonder when they will release the cover art and tracklist for this... can anyone remember how long before 21CB came out its art was released? Bastard of 1967 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 IKnow Your Enemy is an awesome song. Though, many people wouldn't agree with me on that one. For what it's worth I'll agree with you, at least in a live venue -- KYE plays great live, it was like the song was built for arena rock. ...and not much else.
fadi_7 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 i can't wait for it i hope it will be better even than BIAB i think it will be great specially with the 21stCB songs and this tour was the best one so i hope awesome as fuck will be awesome as fuck
Tubbie Head Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I really hope they use songs from the acoustic encore, specially the rarities Billie did in a couple of shows, I love the way he sings Words I Might Have Ate, Christie Road and all those oldies, he made slightly different versions of the songs, and of course his voice is just That's why I would love to hear some of those on the CD As for the DVD they should opt by choosing the songs/parts of the concert that are more visually attractive, the songs that wouldn't have the same impact if they're audio only, I know that almost of them are like that... But songs like King For A Day/Shout, 21 Guns, BOBD, Minority/American Eulogy, American Idiot are more visually appealing that some others on the concerts, in my opinion, those are the ones they should chose for the DVD, and let some rarities be on the CD.
pasalaska Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Wasn't it the night of the Grammys that the title, cover, release date were released? I think you're right, so feb 8th 2009. Roughly 3 months before the album was released. So hopefully any time soon if it's 3 months again.
November's Storms Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I'm still gunning for a photo from Denver with the AAF signs to be in there There's gotta be something in there. Considering the vast majority of fans and others who might just buy it for the rock concert vibe won't have a clue about the title. Bullet in a Bible showed the whole museum scene, there's gotta be something here.

Bullet in a Bible showed the whole museum scene, there's gotta be something here. yeah the bullet in a bible dvd explained the title so it was blatantly obvious that it wasn't some bible hating thing. i mean if they videoed the concert where the signs were held up that would be all right. unless they do a sort of special feature or whatever.
Hermione Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I'm not gonna lie. I hope there are some songs like BOBD, KYE, 21 Guns, and stuff. I love the way they did BOBD this tour, acoustically and what not. I love 21 Guns live, and Know Your Enemy is an awesome song. Though, many people wouldn't agree with me on that one. Me too! 21 Guns isn't a favourite of mine on CD but I LOVE it live. And I totally agree about BOBD, particularly looking forward to seeing the video of that. I enjoy all the traditional things about Green Day shows as much as (or sometimes more than) rare songs. The traditional things are special and sacred Awesome Ass, Fuck Green Day? !!!
A Killjoy from Detroit Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 If the cover art is the dead drunk bunny, its gonna take some gettin' used to But I think the album is appropriately named but I'm sorta bummed that the vid is only gonna be in Tokyo but Billie said in Mountain View that there's gonna be tons of audio from that show and I'm hoping he keeps his promise cuz i was at that show!
Isabel Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 The only reason that I'm not particularly excited about the DVD is that we already have Tune in Tokyo; I guess it would be nice to have something different, like a collection of moments from different cities.
TollyPink Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I was looking forward... Until they said it had only been filmed in Japan.. But the CD will be worth every penny! Hope Cigarettes and Valentines and the rare songs will be on it!

Metanoia Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I'm totally hoping for a lot of Backstage stuff!
Fanny. Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Im really looking forward to see the setlist of the cd! And I cant wait to see the dvd either. Ive watched videos and listened to the audio of the two Tokyo shows and the guys were all goofing around and having a great time as usual, so this is gonna be amazing to watch for sure (: And plus they played Redundant acoustic and Viva La Gloria I really hope those two will end up on the dvd! I'm totally hoping for a lot of Backstage stuff! Yes me too What would be nice to see imo on the dvd are extras including lots of backstage stuff like you said and a montage of where the title comes from. It would allow us to see how the tradition of the signs has started in Paris and continued in Virginia, in Montreal, in Denver with its now famous signs and in San Francisco with the Welcome home ones. We could see how they evolved and remained from cities to cities. By putting videos or photos of all the places where fans held them would help the non die-hard Green Day fans to understand the meaning of the title and how it directly connects us with the band.
Metanoia Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 ^ yeah i wished BIAB had more backstage stuff in it already but this time im really hoping to see something offstage from the guys!
Fanny. Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 ^ yeah i wished BIAB had more backstage stuff in it already but this time im really hoping to see something offstage from the guys! Yep lets hope they'll put some behind the scene stuff on AAF
