OMG :runaround:

that banner is fucking AWESOME. Now its official that they won't change the title, which is beyond great.

I don't really mind that it's censored. It's not a really big deal. Better than changing it completely.

i wish they'd release the news on greenday.com along with what the cover is gonna look like! :whistle

the banner has me even more excited!!!!

To be honest, I was a little doubtful about the album ending up being titled Awesome as Fuck, I thought it might just be a working title even though I loved it. I was hoping for it but in the back of my head I was sort of prepared to see it get changed eventually. But to log onto Youtube, check Green Day's channel, and see that sick banner with the sick artwork and that awesome title has now made my day because there it is guys, soon we will have Green Day Presents: Awesome as Fuck, no matter what parents bitch and complain about it. I'm digging the pink also. If you noticed a lot of the text on Green Day's channel was changed to pink so I think that's going to be their new color for a little while. Hurry the fuck up March 15th.

Seems a little impossible to be if there is only going to be 1 CD... you can't fit 40 songs on 1 CD

I like the banner, even if the "fuck" is censored! And the way they put the Drunk Bunny in it is nice.

I can't wait!

Wembley! And the O2 (I wonder which night?)! I hope it's real!

Dominated Love Slave at Wembley :eyebrow: I'd die if that was on there.

26.Medley: Metalcovers

:woot: yes please please please!!

I hope that setlist is real! I doubt it, but I hope so.

But wait, that looks like it's a DVD setlist and since the DVD is Tokyo ... hmmm. I would love if there were some footage from all the shows though.

Unless my memory is playing tricks on me, I'm pretty sure they didn't play Welcome to Paradise at Pinkpop.

also, I'm awful for first checking the places where the songs came from, and only then the actual songs

I'm not believing it. I mean, it could always be possible, even if it's just a lucky guess, but I'm not counting on this to be true. Also because it's 40 songs.

Hope that setlist is real, it looks great. Its a good mix of the old and the new as well as the rare songs vs the hits. Its doubtful though, unfortunately.

Double CD?

If this is true, it's fantastic. Burnout from Ullevi!

Posted

It's fairly obviously untrue but I freaked out when I saw Marlay Park for When it's Time anyway

Posted

Calling definite bullshit on that setlist, Welcome To Paradise indeed wasn't played at Pinkpop, so that can't possibly be true.

Posted

They never provided a link to any kind of source. Just that "a friend gave me this". I deleted it, because I think it's bullshit.

Posted

That setlist is great, and certainly sounds legitimate, but I don't know if I believe it. Did the person at least know the name of the website it supposedly came from? Also can a CD handle 40 songs?

Posted

Plus, as Laura pointed out, the Punk News article said (though they probably don't know for sure either) that the live CD stuff will be from the amphitheater tour. But, no one knows, so it's all spec at this point.

Meh, I think they made that up/said it because the US tour is the only they've heard about a lot or something. I don't think they based that on any concrete background info.

And hence the reason why I wrote that they probably don't know either.

youre not allowed to say the F word?

I am kind of fond of the name myself.

I am I say it all the time but I mean saying the name to anyone not just fans. Like my parents don't like cursing or any of my family. So I refer to it as the live album. It'll grow on me.

hot damn im getting excited about this

Posted

i dont see why anyone would think AWESOME AS FUCK is an ego-beast title. its an inside joke with their fans from what we all know happened on the north american HO AS HELL tour. dear lord baby jesus i miss that pint sized rock star's tweets. shake and bake.

He hasn't tweeted since that outburst during American Idiot in Lima. I think he realized he was being a bit hypocritical. I do miss the tweets though

I don't like how it's censored, though. Come on, Green Day, you disappoint me!

Maybe thats just cos its youtube, y'know, for the kids and all

Damn it, at first that "setlist" got me so excited and hyper. Having Waiting and iViva la Gloria!, as well as When It's Time from Marlay Park. But hey, I'll be optimistic
