Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 There are a couple of Dutch articles as well on sites I've never heard of before, and one from a Dutch music magazine. Not one I ever buy or read, but at least I know it, as opposed to all the other websites that mention the live album http://www.oor.nl/news_details.asp?id=8904
sampy Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Also some finnish music news sites have mentioned that Awesome As Fuck is going to be released in March Here's the links: http://www.hcsanomat.fi/green-dayn-live-cddvdlle-julkaisupaiva/ http://www.soundi.fi/node/11839/Green/Dayn/live/maaliskuussa%3F
November's Storms Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 They certainly could have. I *think* Tokyo offers some tax incentives to film crews that NYC doesn't, but I'm not even close to sure on that. Don't forget that Tokyo's audiences are literally legendary for their enthusiasm and craziness, whereas American audiences are regarded by the rest of the world as very subdued. I never even considered the financial element of it, good thinking Well if we are going by audience enthusiasm some of the European shows and definitely the South American shows win that one Just saw a comment on one of the punk sites that maybe amazon got the title wrong and it should be Green Day "Awesome Ass Fuck" and that it was actually a backstage video of what used happen when Green Day toured with Pansy Division :eyebrow: The Haters never stop amazing me with there comments This one is pretty good actually. Beats "Green Day are gay" and other stupid comments like that, at least this one is sorta researched and relevant
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 What if one of your cameras breaks in Tokyo? No problem! Finding high-quality camera equipment in Tokyo is like looking for fecal coliform bacteria in an outhouse--it's everywhere! <<laughing so hard here I just snarfed my coffee>> Again, I'm not an expert by any means. I just happened to stay in a Holiday Inn Express a few nights ago. Good timing then. This makes sense...especially your comment on the choice of one city with two back-to-back shows giving them opportunities for retakes when necessary. Will certainly be interesting to see what they do with this. Thanks for the insight. Don't forget that Tokyo's audiences are literally legendary for their enthusiasm and craziness Indeed. I've never seen a crowd go cuckoo for Weezer like they did over there. You think Rivers knew what he was getting into when they decided to film in Japan?

NothingButYourImagination Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Well, I'm certainly excited as fuck for this!
Sanity Loan Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I stopped looking at those comments after reading about 5 of them. They're all hate comments and its ridiculous. Ignorant comments to be exact. Just bashing Green Day because they're Green Day and because they "sold out" 16 fucking years ago!!! People need to get over it.
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Amazon's pre-order listing for the CD/DVD has been edited to "Awesome as F**k". I was wondering when they were going to do that. http://www.amazon.com/Awesome-As-DVD-Green-Day/dp/B004GHBQ7O/ref=sr_1_1 When it actually comes out they need to put a pair of hearts in place of the asterisks...would shout out to ToniAnn's AIOB "It's F3>3>k Time" bracelets and would be, well, you know....
November's Storms Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 On Green Day's discography chronology it has Last Night On Earth: Live in Tokyo as the last release with the next release being Awesome as Fuck http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_Night_on_Earth:_Live_in_Tokyo

Sanity Loan Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Hidden message in 21 Guns perhaps? Wow, this is way off topic now...sorry. Not sure if I understand what you mean...
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Not sure if I understand what you mean... Translation: "Sellout" argument's been going on for 16 years with no apparent end in sight. Enough already, for chrissake...
November's Storms Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Translation: "Sellout" argument's been going on for 16 years with no apparent end in sight. Enough already, for chrissake... Still confused, where's the 21 Guns reference?
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Still confused, where's the 21 Guns reference? "Lay down your arms, give up the fight." ...perhaps a subtle message to the haters.
Nickofsuburbia Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 "Lay down your arms, give up the fight." ...perhaps a subtle message to the haters. meh.
November's Storms Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 "Lay down your arms, give up the fight." ...perhaps a subtle message to the haters. Yeah it could be. I just go with what Tré said. "You can listen to this album, and find double meanings, triple meanings. Or you can just rock out to it"
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Yeah it could be. I just go with what Tré said. "You can listen to this album, and find double meanings, triple meanings. Or you can just rock out to it" I'll drink to that. 'Nuff on this.
stuart_and_the_ave Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Really can't wait for this to come out. It would have been nice for the DVD to have been from different shows but I can see why they have done it from one. Still excited to see which songs are going to be on the CD and where they are from. Amazon's pre-order listing for the CD/DVD has been edited to "Awesome as F**k". I was wondering when they were going to do that. http://www.amazon.com/Awesome-As-DVD-Green-Day/dp/B004GHBQ7O/ref=sr_1_1 When it actually comes out they need to put a pair of hearts in place of the asterisks...would shout out to ToniAnn's AIOB "It's F3>3>k Time" bracelets and would be, well, you know.... amazon.co.uk still have it as "Awesome as Fuck" hearts would be a good idea if they have to censor it
Beathe. Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I got an e-mail from Amazon today saying: "We're writing about the order you placed on December 17 2010. Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below has changed, and we need to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date: Green Day "Awesome As Fuck [CD+DVD]. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this delay." But on their site it still says that March 15th is the release day.

Or was it just the title and Tokyo thing that was confirmed?
Beathe. Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I thought the release date was confirmed? Or was it just the title and Tokyo thing that was confirmed? We got the date confirmed, so maybe Amazon just made a mistake. I don't know..
