jtdscape Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 i just dont think that its gonna be only from the Tokyo shows because i know ive seen videos with cameramen on stage Green Day record a lot of shows and do nothing with them. A great example of this would be the Warfield show that they played in 2005(?). That was one of the best shows Green Day has ever played and there was tons of cameras there, but they never did anything with that footage.
clairex Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 It is a US Import on amazon uk and costs £21.49!!
Overjoyed Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I think it´s the best title in history I´ve never thougt of fuck being such a bad word. I mean I know it´s controversial in the US but for me not living or growing up there it´s quite lame and just hilarious
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I think it´s the best title in history I´ve never thougt of fuck being such a bad word. I mean I know it´s controversial in the US but for me not living or growing up there it´s quite lame and just hilarious I have the same problem, with any profanity in English, really. I know it's a bad word and stuff and of course I can feel the difference between "go away" and "fuck off", but I'm not very phased by it. Then again, I don't exactly use clean language in Dutch either and I'm not phased by that either, heh.
Psycho Britney Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 'Awsome as Fuck' more like What the Fuck?! Seriously-Tokyo (no offence meant to anyone) How could they not include Wembey or Machester? I mean I know it might not be absolutely decided yet. Don't get me wrond-still looking forward to March 15th though!
Mrs. Nobody Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Shame it's not Wembley oh well, what can you do
Shnitzel Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Can't wait to explain to my mom that I want to buy an album titled awesome as fuck But I'm sure it'll be as awesome as fuck!
Psycho Britney Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 ^ I know, I get that. But GD said they' recorded a lot of their shows. So I was just thinking they might chose some different material from different places. I might have got that wrong-it might only be audio they record...
November's Storms Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Imagine some kid writing his letter to Santa, "dear Santa, I've been a good boy this year. Can I please have Awesome as Fuck for Christmas? Thank you! Love, little Timmy"
greendaytone Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Imagine some kid writing his letter to Santa, "dear Santa, I've been a good boy this year. Can I please have Awesome as Fuck for Christmas? Thank you! Love, little Timmy" hahaha, maybe that's why they're not bringing it out for xmas! Yeah, it's absolutely decided. When they shoot for DVD, it's not some guy with a camcorder. There are directors, producers, LDs, camera crews, technical directors, 8-10 cameras set up on booms and cranes. I don't know how they set up for Tokyo but for Keynes they even had a helicopter gyro cam. I think it's still seen as a 'working title' to some extent. I do very much hope it stays though. I was at both the Tokyo shows and they did have those crane cams. Not sure what a 'helicopter gyro cam' is, but it's sounds dirty. ^ I know, I get that. But GD said they' recorded a lot of their shows. So I was just thinking they might chose some different material from different places. I might have got that wrong-it might only be audio they record... I think they recorded a lot of material too, unless it was just for the big screens at the shows. It would be great if they added at least some clips from the rest of the tour to the DVD.
Silk Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I had no idea they were going to release a new dvd. Exciting. *hopes for Brainstew*
November's Storms Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I think it's still seen as a 'working title' to some extent. I do very much hope it stays though. Do you know if any of the albums had working titles that were changed upon release? Just curious to know if the band are in the habit of doing this
LouLou Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I LOVE the name of the DVD/album. I really hope it doesn't change!
greendaytone Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Do you know if any of the albums had working titles that were changed upon release? Just curious to know if the band are in the habit of doing this I think they were going to call BIAB 'Penis In A Bumhole' but they decided against it. haha kidding of course, i have no idea. People are ordering it now, so maybe it's set. Apparently Amazon do say that titles can change before release.
deadair Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I really hope to see "Olivia" from the Devner 2010 show on this album. "Last Night On Earth" from the same show would be logical to have on there too since Olivia basically segues right into LNOH. Some "old school" GD songs that I would personally like to see on the album are "Nice Guys Finish Last" and/or "Going To Pasalacqua". And it would be nice to have the Brain Stew/Jaded and Basket Case/She medleys on the album uninterrupted and intact unlike Bullet In A Bible.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I think they were going to call BIAB 'Penis In A Bumhole' but they changed it. This is giving me some hilarious mental images "This is our new live album, it was recorded in our two day show in Milton Keynes, it's called Penis in a Bumhole" *Novacaine music is playing "take away the sensation inside" "I can't take this feeling anymore"* "This is like a big gallery of someone else's nightmare." (more Novacaine) (woman:)"You want your bumhole with a penis in it?" (Billie:)"You have a bumhole with a penis in it?"

I was disappointed when the drum beat they play before firing up Jaded just ended and that was that.

Hermione Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I'm so bored... http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5081/5270688437_fbeb628947.jpg Can I buy this please? i know that the DVD is expected to come from the Tokyo show. But besides that .... ....and being able to have a song from a variety of shows.... It would've been FANTASTIC to have a visual record of all those FABULOUS PANTS of Billie's on the DVD! (In particular the RED ones! ) ..... ok, the RED & BLACK STRIPE ones too!.... Ah heck all of them! .... and Mike's SPECTACULAR glowy WHITE pants! .....just sayin' Oh my god this is so true . It's a crime that those wonderful pants won't be paraded across our screens. I think they were going to call BIAB 'Penis In A Bumhole' but they decided against it. I didn't know they recorded that show. I'm addicted to the audio. It's such a shame they never released official videos from that show I didn't know that either! Those little buggers! I thought it was just random people in the crowd who recorded it and never put it online. It's ALSO a shame that they recorded that Foxboro show with 3 professional cameras and haven't released any of it. I think they record this cool stuff just for their own entertainment.
greendepent Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? with Davey Havok I wish.... I like that one, but I'd prefer Words I might have ate And I want some insomniac stuff, and Maria from Argentina, it was the only time that was performed in Eb tunning I think that the reason why the Canadian shows was so kick ass is cause they will release that, or at least they think about it

I'm addicted to the audio. It's such a shame they never released official videos from that show yeah! But also from other shows. It seems like there's always a camera at every Green Day show, but they never release anything officially. I didn't know that either! Those little buggers! I thought it was just random people in the crowd who recorded it and never put it online. It's ALSO a shame that they recorded that Foxboro show with 3 professional cameras and haven't released any of it. I think they record this cool stuff just for their own entertainment. Sure, they do it for their own entertainment. Whatelse? I didn't know the Foxboro Hot Tubs show got recorded. It's a shame they didn't release it.
clairex Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I know I am biased as a Green Day fan, but also as a parent whos kid is going to want this , seriously those parents getting worked up over the word "fuck", pick your battles! really it is just a word.
Isabel Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 As humourous as the title is, I'd be disappointed if the name sticks purely because, to me, those words just aren't powerful enough to sum up the 21st Century Breakdown tour.
Hermione Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 As humourous as the title is, I'd be disappointed if the name sticks purely because, to me, those words just aren't powerful enough to sum up the 21st Century Breakdown tour. I think it's really powerful! Green Day have such a great connection with the crowd when they're on stage, involving everyone and bringing people up to sing. For them to use a title that came directly from the fans in the crowd is an acknowledgement of that connection they have with their fans, a special little message to us. Not to mention Green Day have always had a sense of humour about themselves, that's one of the things that makes them the amazing band they are. They can have both serious and silly moments at a show, and they can release an epic live album and give it a jokey name. I can't think of a more appropriate title.
