That title is the best fucking thing EVER - they better fucking keep it!! As lots of people have said, it's such a great mark of the unity of Green Day with the community of people who love them, and hey, you guys who came up with those signs gotta be feeling like the coolest people on the planet, cause you are!! It sounds like it's gonna be a great fucking package, and I'm excited for it.

A friend of mine in Japan has heard that the DVD will be of their show(s) in Tokyo in Jan 2010. And the audio CD will be from shows around the tour. From good sources apparently.

I admit I am a bit disappointed that the DVD is japan only.

But seeings how after I mentioned to Abbey that I didnt want a normal sign and she suggested the awesome as fuck ones and I actually wrote the signs, copied them, and handed them out, I am pretty damn happy with the title. So I shall not complain.

Maybe continuity, but still, why Tokyo? I know for a fact that Argentina and Denver were both better shows, and we know Argentina was recorded. There's no way Tokyo crowds are better than the South American audiences either. It just doesn't make sense

I was thinking they'd pick Argentina too. I really hope they didn't make the decision to try to increase sales over there...

i have nothing against japan, but why?? i mean, what about the rest of us??

don't get me wrong, i'm over excited about the whole DVD thing, but i think they should have put recordings from all of the places they were on this tour

as far as i know, the US tour was killer, and the SA tour was just a whole different experience because they never had been here before...

anyways, i just hope they put LOTS of extra footage hehe... and it definetly should be named awesome as fuck (it probably won't be that way but that would be hillarious)

I think Tokyo is a strange choice for the DVD footage, but hey, it's a live DVD who can complain?

nothing against Japan, but every recording or video i've came across the crowd response sucks. their energy is definitely there, but you can't hear when billie has them sing parts of songs. it's not really their fault, i mean English isn't even their damn language. i'm just so confused as to why they'd pick Tokyo.

Yay! I was so excited today when I found this out. I literally screamed after reading that tweet from greendayupdates. Plus, it's the day before my 18th birthday! What a fantastic present! I love the title, but I realize a lot of people won't understand it or just simply think it's odd.

I asked my dad to guess what the title was and he said "I don't know, I walk alone?" (his answer to everything Green Day related) and I told him and he just sighed, rubbed his forehead and walked away. His reaction just made me crack up. I love it.

I'm gonna write up a post on GDA explaining the name. While 95% of people seem to be excited about it, there's been a few comments from people who don't know the meaning of it and were bitching. One comment was like "Come on, you guys aren't Weezer," alluding to the random names they use like Raditude and Hurley.

it was greendayloveat38 who first used it to describe the 'thank you' signs from the Paris show last August.

then gnash thought why not use it really to spice up the signs.

I'am watching the videos from Tokyo on Youtube. Wake me Up is only acoustic, the two versions of Good Riddance was very average and Hitchin a Ride wasn't played is in entirety. I hope the sound and the video would be as good as the MTV concert.
