captain peroxide Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Omfg I just found out they were naming it after the signs at the Denver show That's about the fucking coolest thing that's happened in forever, omfg.
GDLoT Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I'm still iffy about the title. I keep imagining the first big press release coming out for it, and it has a pissy title like 'Green Day: Live on Tour' that just made me smile.
Karen. Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Looking forward to getting it 100% officially confirmed, but I love the title. It's really acknowledging the bond with the fans!
Anja Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I'm still a bit surprised they aren't using any material from Wembley. I mean, it was there biggest show in HISTORY! How many people were there at the Tokyo Show?
pisquano Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 So, I'm trying to see the whole story clearly. The album is (probably) coming March, 15th. It will contain a CD of songs from the whole tour and a DVD of the Tokyo performances. It's titled "Awesome As Fuck". Are these informations true? Can't say how excited I am.
Fuzz Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Waiting for the confirmation ourselves to put something up on GDA.
OliDayyy Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I'm still a bit surprised they aren't using any material from Wembley. I mean, it was there biggest show in HISTORY! How many people were there at the Tokyo Show? Same here (plus, we were there!!!) I'm sure the band hesitated between "Awesome as fuck" and "it's ho as hell" !
greendaytone Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I'm still a bit surprised they aren't using any material from Wembley. I mean, it was there biggest show in HISTORY! How many people were there at the Tokyo Show? It was an arena show on a similar scale to the O2 London shows. I think it was about 18,000 capacity (each night). Thinking back, security were a lot stricter on audience filming than usual. I was personally asked to stop at one point
Agija Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I just read the whole thing and it made so happy that my head stopped to ache. It's awesome as fuck, haha. Definitely the best title ever.
netty Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Waiting for the confirmation ourselves to put something up on GDA. wait? do you think I would lie about what I was told or that I would be told a lie? I wouldnt tell people if it wasnt what I had been told or if I was asked not to post about it!
Marki. Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Omg, now this is awesome as fuck  Best title in history. I wanted them to name it the 'Live fucking album' xD but this might be even better At first I couldn't help being very disappointed about the DVD but I got over that, with such an awesome title =D At first we didn't think there'll be any DVD, so I shouldn't complain now...I'm ridiculously excited about the CD!
jos_whatsername Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 AWESOME AS FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK !!!!
Fuzz Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 wait? do you think I would lie about what I was told or that I would be told a lie? I wouldnt tell people if it wasnt what I had been told or if I was asked not to post about it! I didn't say anything that you just insinuated.
Anja Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Same here (plus, we were there!!!) I'm sure the band hesitated between "Awesome as fuck" and "it's ho as hell" ! Green Day - Ho as hell in Toyko 2010 Now that'd be something!
netty Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I didn't say anything that you just insinuated. no you didnt but you did say you were waiting for confirmation yourselves before posting the news. I had it confirmed. it just comes across as a little insulting.
Fuzz Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 no you didnt but you did say you were waiting for confirmation yourselves before posting the news. I had it confirmed. it just comes across as a little insulting. I sent the email before I even read your posts. Come on netty, it's not as if I came here and said "Oh, she can't be trusted, i better find out for myself".
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 No way in hell Warner will let them call it that, even if they wanted to, I think any news is good news as far as I'm concerned but the big one will be the tracklisting which will determine whether I buy it or not or splash out on some kind of deluxe one with the rare songs on it if that happens. Glad I seem to have been proven wrong on that one! Awesome as fuck...I'm going to start using that now.
Beathe. Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 The DVD is only going to be from Japan? That's too bad. Great title though.
November's Storms Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I was thinking about the "fuck" in the title, but there are some artists have fuck in the title and are still stocked in HMV and Virgin and the major music shops around me, and I doubt they wouldn't stock a Green Day release, they would sell
norcalgreendayfan Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I already preordered it on amazon and let me tell you I can't wait for this. It's gonna be AWESOME AS FUCK
captain peroxide Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Kinda disappointed the DVD is only from Tokyo. No offense to Japanese fans, but there were much better crowds and shows elsewhere.
November's Storms Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Kinda disappointed the DVD is only from Tokyo. No offense to Japanese fans, but there were much better crowds and shows elsewhere. When I heard this first I thought it was the CD and DVD coming from Tokyo. Glad thats not the case, hopefully we can get something from Ireland! And I'm sure everyone else is saying that about their own country
elisa Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Kinda disappointed the DVD is only from Tokyo. No offense to Japanese fans, but there were much better crowds and shows elsewhere. agreed.
