DETAILS: That album title, again, is Awesome As F**k. Apparently you don't care about selling records at Wal-Mart.

Billie Joe Armstrong: The title came from when we went to Lollapalooza in 1992, when the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ice Cube were on the bill. Mike [Dirnt] was holding up a sign that said "Ice Cube: Bad as Fuck." Then at all of our live shows kids starting holding up signs saying, "Awesome as Fuck." It was a tribute to them. ♥♥♥

Idk what it is that's making it sound "fake"...... they just don't sound like typical BJA answers.

I think they edited out all the "y'know...."s. :ninja:

I just think he was possibly in a slightly grumpy/bad mood when he answered. That's the only slight difference to normal I picked up on.

I think it was definitely edited, too.

sounds quite naturaly to me though

I love Geek Stink Breath on that album, especially when BeeJ screams, "Let's let's GO!"

Yesterday I was in town and in Müller there is a ranking of albums and AAF was #36 :P

Posted

Yeah its still number #32 in the Irish album charts, pretty happy with that! I wonder worldwide how well is it selling, and it would be cool to compare the sales numbers to BIAB.

Was in JB Hi-Fi today and it had a top 20 album thing. AAF was 15th :)

Well, in the week of its release AAF was #8 here. But now I really don't know...

I downloaded the DVD 2 nights ago and watched it yesterday. My thought was that it was good but I still prefer Bullet in a Bible. Even though I'll buy this DVD when I got money. And creds to Billie who got the Japanese crowd to sing a long , that's not an easy thing to do X*D

"She" is one of the first songs I heard with Green Day and a personal favorite, so I really enjoyed that they played it =)

Yeah, same here. Other than that, it sounded pretty natural to me.

this surprises me in a good way.

I didn't think it would sell that well in Aus.

Worldwide 200,000 copies (Bullet In A Bible 2,000,000)

US 40,500 copies (Bullet In A Bible 550,000) :)

It's not good for sure, but I wasn't expecting better numbers.
