Guest EDIT Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Okay, I have five questions that have nothing to do with Awesome As ****, but I'm asking them here because this is one of the most popular live threads. First, and I'm not asking for a download link, but where can I get the 21 Guns - EP, is it in stores or anywhere? Does anyone have a download link for the Lollapalooza 2010 Webcast Rip? Did anyone at one time have the actual Green Day multi-tracks other than Matt? Not just recordings from the game Where can I purchase American Idiot Clean? I know there is an official one, not just people doing it themselves. (Don't say Green Day shouldn't be censored.) Are there any full concert soundboard recordings from 2009-2010 other than the Manchester one? Thanks
Samantha Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Watched it twice in a row last night It really made me want to go into my TV and be in Japan, even just for a minute. It was breathtaking. Viva La Gloria is just so amazing, I think it's my favorite song on the DVD And the 4-5 song continuation of everything Dookie just made my life Probably gonna bring it to my boyfriends tonight and make him watch it
captain peroxide Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Oh, sorry, are they really that stupid? ...That wasn't even clever.
GreenRanger Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 It's fun reading the comments on that AAF review from UG. Gotta admit, it was shitty of the reviewer to say "Green Day has deteriorated." Last time I checked all the guys had all their body parts intact.
swarheely Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 so no one else thinks the dvd is much too short? haha
gloria123 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 i was watching the when i come around video again and billie has this piece of hair that sticks up and really bothers me!!
Laura! Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 so no one else thinks the dvd is much too short? haha It was added on as a bonus dvd. They could have added more songs but I'm just happy they decided to give it to everyone.
swarheely Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 ohh, fair, i guess, hopefully we get a proper like 2 and a half hour dvd or something someday haha, and seriously, give us the damn munich show in the meantime haha
The Snark Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I have no real use for Itunes, but I downloaded it just for the bonus tracks. Letterbomb is fantastic!
Lu. Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Ashskhdfkjfhdksjh I got it today and I was like oh yeaaaah FINALLY got ittt after seeing it everywhere and started hyperventilating everytime I caught a glimpse of it. I've only listened to the cd by far, and I gotta say it's cdhdjkhdkd great, brilliant, amazing, whatever you wanna call it. Especially because of the songs they decided to put it in, for example, Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? I went completely CRAZY when I heard it lol dhdfjkhdf but well, I've said too much. And the dvd? I just can't watch it cause my dvd player is broken and my computer is a bitch and won't let me open the cd tray. So, I've paid $78 and I can't watch the dvd and I don't know when am I going to watch it. But I've got it and I'm happy, that's it ♥
Angie-Marie Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Same here. Hate it when that happens. I hated that review. The crowd sounded fake? Sounded like any other excited crowd to me to be honest. Yeah, I don't know what he's going on about there. That crowd noise is one of the things that takes me back to actually being at one of their shows. And there was nothing fake about the crowd I was part of. And this guy needs to just give it up on the "aging rocker" cracks. Newsflash: every time Green Day gets a year older, you're a year older, too. Funny how that works.
newsflash777 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I have no real use for Itunes, but I downloaded it just for the bonus tracks. Letterbomb is fantastic! Damnit, I need that.
gloria123 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I just downloaded the iTunes bonus tracks and they're almost better then the whole album! Christie Road almost made me cry
Hermione Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 It was added on as a bonus dvd. They could have added more songs but I'm just happy they decided to give it to everyone. Well they didn't really "give" it, we are paying them for it so we're even I think it wouldn't seem so short if it wasn't missing some of the really key songs that are integral to a Green Day show. I'm so used to them being there I'm subconsciously waiting for them, so when it finishes it's not so much that it feels like it was too short as it feels like there was something important missing from it.
Laura! Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Well they didn't really "give" it, we are paying them for it so we're even I couldn't think of another word to use.
November's Storms Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Well they didn't really "give" it, we are paying them for it so we're even One of the things I was pleased about was the price. I paid €16 for this, and that is what I would have to pay for any new CD release, I was expecting it to be higher because of the DVD, and was pleasantly surprised. I'd like to think the band had a hand in keeping the price lower.

Mmm I dunno if the band really involves themselves in that stuff, I think record companies making sure they have competitive prices and good deals just makes good business sense sometimes. But whatever the reason I was very pleasantly surprised about the price too, £9.99 for a CD and a DVD is such a bargain!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I paid €20 which is the normal price for a new album. According to FRS's website it's €21.50. Either way they didn't charge (much) for the extra dvd (if anything at all. I don't know how much new live albums generally cost, but new normal albums are usually between €18 and €20), but CDs are expensive as hell anyway.
Laura! Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I paid $12.99 for it. The sticker said the normal price was $16.99. Still not badly priced for a CD/DVD combo.

Completely off topic for a second, but I love the Euro! € €
November's Storms Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Plus, I know its been talked about before but I just downloaded the bonus tracks. And fucking love them! Where did people generally agree they should be put in the tracklist?
Sanity Loan Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 So, I've paid $78 and I can't watch the dvd and I don't know when am I going to watch it. $78???
