Katarina. Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I love it when billie screams "we are alive".... even though it kinda makes me sad... Yeah, me too. But why would it make you sad..?
ltrbmb17 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Now i've got it too!!!!! I liked CD more than DVD. think it wasn't the best concert to make a dvd. On CD it was so great when fans were singing with Billie! So much energy!!! Now I'm waiting for a new GD-tour more than ever!
Jacob. Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 250th Post YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Your profile says you have 246. 246 < 250.
Boston Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Yeah, me too. But why would it make you sad..? Probably not sad so much as self-aware.
Little Girl Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I bought album two days ago and I have watched it 5 times. It's really Awesome as Fuck! but there isn't video of King For a Day. such a pity...
Punx89 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Just watched the DVD for the first time really?for the first time?and?you liked that?
Tre_Gina Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 After watching AAF a bunch of times, it never gets old! I finally came to a conclusion that my favorite performance on the DVD would have to be The Static Age! It's just phenomenal to say the least! Especially when Jason F just comes out with the Sax and plays his heart out! I was like this-- The overall performance was hands down amazing!! the static age is awesome on the DVD - so powerful and full on. I keep watching it over and over.
gloria123 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 i watched the DVD last night and listened to the CD, so here's what i have to say about it: i didn't really like how on the DVD some songs were in different colors (blue, black and white, etc). i also would have liked to see a little more mike(i liked all the weird faces he made) and "the big 3" but overall i loved it (but i think BIAB was a little better)
klytaemnestra Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 watching it again rn, i like how in holiday there's a random shot of someone jumping into the crowd apparently out of nowhere.
Guest Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 really?for the first time?and?you liked that? Yes, I loved it
rback57 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 So, I ordered the physical cd/dvd from amazon, and found out about the bonus songs. So, I went and bought Letterbomb and Christie Road on Amazon and Paper Lanterns from iTunes to save 60 cents. I think Letterbomb is REALLY good, as well as Christie Road. I think Letterbomb is my new favorite on the cd, though. As far as the dvd goes, I think either Static Age or Holiday is my favorite, although I just like watching the whole thing through.
rback57 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 ^ Ha, I thought they just replayed the stage dive from EJN. I guess that wouldn't make much sense, though.
-Billiejoezee- Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Yeah, me too. But why would it make you sad..? Idk. Just makes you think that who knows what happened to some of those people in the audience. I'm sure some were from all around japan.....
klytaemnestra Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 On the second night of the Saitama shows, Billie Joe pulled someone from the crowd up onstage with him for the "sieg heil" part of Holiday. A few seconds after the concussions, Billie Joe pointed for the guy to stage dive, but he instead walked back towards Tre before getting the point and jumping. There actually was a stage diver during Holiday on the second night, but the editing of it was confusing as hell and made it look like there was someone randomly jumping offstage. Honestly, I'd have left the guy out entirely to avoid the "wtf where did he come from?" moment. yeah, i figured that's what it must have been. the editing isn't great, in viva la gloria (i think) billie raises the mic, puts it back in the stand, and the next shot you see is of him putting it back in the stand again. edit: i'm watching when i come around now, and a similar thing happens with mike walking around - he walks from jason to billie, it cuts to him standing on his side of the stage, then cuts to him walking up to his mic..
swarheely Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 dvd was rad, very awesome, but definitely too short, not even 90 minutes, just feel like the US shows like the one in camden i went do, were muchhhh longer, but still, very rad i'll watch a lot, i'm still hoping they release the full munich concert on a dvd since it ya kno, won an award and was featured in theatres, let the rest of us see it!
Kilgores Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 After I listened the CD many times, I watched the DVD and it really good too. I really like the coloring, editing and all the thing like that, but I in my opinion the CD is better. (I didn't said that the DVD is shit.. ) My favourite part of the CD is from C&V to 21 guns, it muh emotional then any other part. And in my opinion it's really good that the tracklist is not definitely the same like the BIAB's tracklist
November's Storms Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I've spent most of my afternoon making Awesome As Fuck into a giant-ass setlist, all pro recorded and played in the order of one of the gigs, I'm currently on 32 songs I love the album by itself (with the bonus tracks mixed into the set) but as soon as I heard that they had the Nice Guys Finish Last recorded in Manchester I decided to put as many songs as I could find in there to make a full gig's worth. You gonna share that? Can't stop listening to Letterbomb. Went to the Chula Vista show with my [ex] girlfriend. Kinda shitty, though. I keep tearing up because i remember how happy she was to see them up close and personal. I do recall us kissing like mad when everything goes silent for the 'eeeeeeeeeeeyyyyooooooooooooooo's... Loving the CD. Aw sorry man, it sucks that AAF has that association for you know... YES! Static Age rocks!!!!! I also love that Tre acts out 21 Guns at one point. Yeah, and Mike sees him doing it and joins him. ha
