The Platypus! Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 http://bgnews.com/entertainment/album-review-awesome-as-fk/ I never knew it was called Awesome As Fuck because of the banners people were holding up at the show.
Punx89 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I love how Billie screams "What's in your heart Michigan" during J.A.R.
Sara Armstrong Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 just got done watching the dvd. i loved it but i enjoyed BIAB a whole lot more. i missed the whole ~behind the scenes~ thing. still incredible, tho. i think my favorite song on the cd is "when i come around". there's just something about hearing the audience sing that song with him that makes me feel nostalgic. idk how to describe it.
idc Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I don't even know what song it's in but I love it when Mike and Jason like knock into each other you talking about static age?? love that moment
Hermione Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 you talking about static age?? love that moment Yes! And I can now go and watch it again . And of course I'll watch the whole song because that sax solo is pure awesomeness.
oda Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Did anybody else notice the AAF wristbands they're selling now? They're a little late though, people on the forum started making their own a while ago http://greenday.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=16464_22834&pc=BGAMGD34&src=RSSB1975
TheBasketcase Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 HOLY FUCK I Love awesome as fuck! Was playing guitar along with it to every song I love the Fact that Cigarettes and Valentines is from the AZ show I went to
farley drexel hatcher Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 This the bit everyone's talking about? XD
Sir Green Dsy Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I have a strange 'tinny" sound everytime you just hear the crowd 'singing'. It's hard to describe but it only appears during crowd participation. Does anyone else have this issue? Sorry I couldn't be more descriptive. I'm going to get a new Cd\DVD and see if it's still there.
oda Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 forgot to mention THAT IT ARRIVED TODAY FINALLYYYY! but i can't watch it yet because i'm going out
captain peroxide Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lil7uzFeD41qafapqo1_400.gif This the bit everyone's talking about? XD I made my own one for sig. If I'd seen this earlier, I could've saved the trouble.
The Snark Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 The shitty ghetto Best Buy near my house only ordered two copies of AAF (unlike the 70+ copies of Chris Brown's new cd that were everywhere ), and were all out by the time I got there. Sadface. But my mom has promised to look at for it when she goes shopping today. I just wish I could see her telling them the title...
idc Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 is there anything not to love about static age? I don't think so.
GreenRanger Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 The shitty ghetto Best Buy near my house only ordered two copies of AAF (unlike the 70+ copies of Chris Brown's new cd that were everywhere ), and were all out by the time I got there. Sadface. But my mom has promised to look at for it when she goes shopping today. I just wish I could see her telling them the title... I too noticed this except my Best Buy had something like 7 copies. I also noticed that instead of being under the "New Releases" section, those 70+ Chris Brown CDs (There were SO many of those things! Shows what you get for hitting your girlfriend and being famous) were under "Best Sellers." Hm. I was so very very bitter.
Alan86 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 is there anything not to love about static age? I don't think so. No, its perfect.
GreenRanger Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I love Tre's reaction to the guy in the Skeleton outfit during EJN. he looks like "Man, I wish I'd've thought of that!" And then Billie explaining to the guy to jump off the stage.
Tubbie Head Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Yay! I can finally look at this thread! Got the album today! =D It's really cool! Brings back amazing memories. <3 My favourites in the CD, from listening only one time are: American Idiot, all the oldies that I didn't get to hear at the concert I attended (but those I already knew I would love), Wake me Up, Good Riddance <3. Viva La Gloria! Oh well. From the DVD: The little clips between some of the songs (the beginning was so funny!) !... The songs that stood out for me were American Eulogy; JOS; iViva La Gloria! which brought tears to my eyes in the beginning; My Generation! Such a cool addition; Welcome to Paradise was great, 21 Guns too .. the end of Good Riddance was pretty funny.. As the end of the credits. BITCHES! I got a little annoyed with the camera constantly jumping around, and the weird color effects on some of the songs, but overall I think the DVD is great. Yeah, same here XD
November's Storms Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I really think American Idiot is my favourite from the CD and My Generation is my fav from the DVD. I thought BOBD was a little sleepy...I guess they have to include that for the sales. I'm waiting for someones ava or sig to be Mike spazzing during GSB
Guest Schwulah Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 please help me: i know where/when every single song (from the live-album) was recorded, but "east jesus nowhere" is the only one i don't know of course..i know, it's recorded in glasgow...but when? 2009 or 2010? the youtube-videos aren't helpful :-/ thanks in advance
November's Storms Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Writing a review of this for my college newspaper today Anyone wanna help? I won't be giving it a 100% best thing ever approval so be prepared to disagree
GreenRanger Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Went through the DVD today in search of Billie-isms. Here's my count. Let's Go!: 10 Let's Go Crazy!: 1 Tokyo!: 25 (+1 from Mike in the beginning) Hey Oh!: 14 (+4 variation) C'mon!: 11 Alright!: 14 Jump: 15 Go: 10 Are You Ready?: 4 Get Those Hands Up!/Get Em up!: 9 Everybody!: 6 I also tried counting the amount of times "Fuck" was said but forgot to count... Apparently, "Let's go crazy" was an America thing. Also, Im pretty sure American Eulogy is my favorite song on the DVD.
