I like the interview footage more. I've seen the band live three times; its not that I don't care about watching a concert DVD, but I'd rather see interview footage rather than something I've already seen in person and thusly enjoyed more.

Before I'd seen them live, I saw BIAB and it was magical. I'll never feel that way again when watching a concert DVD because I've seen them, though.

I definitely agree with you.

Watched the DVD yesterday.. It was awesome! but still not as great as bullet in a bible. I did like how the intro was though... And this was shot on my birthday last year!!! :D I remember last year how I really wanted to see green day on my birthday but they were in japan.. And now I have it on DVD!

Was anyone else a bit let down when they found that Minority King For A Day Hitchin' A Ride Longview Brainstew Are We The Waiting St. Jimmy and Jaded were all left off the DVD and CD ? I was but I suppose it would of been 2 - 2 and a half hours long if they'd of had them on too.

But it's still amazing every second I have free it's on :D.

EDIT: Is it just me or does the CD sound a bit sped up ?

Haha those are exactly the songs I miss on it (ie the silly/fun songs :D). Wouldn't have minded some of the other regular songs from the setlist being switched for those more fun regular songs.

But what is on there, I enjoy very much! I think My Generation is my favourite, so cool to see them doing that song. Plus there's no video of when they did it at the FBHT show so it's really great to have this to remind me of that.

your mum rocks! :runaround:

tell her she's cool!

 I just showed her that post! Ha ha. And she just asked me to tell her all the lyrics to the songs on AAF because she can't understand what Billie is saying. I'm glad she is getting into it!

did anyone notice in When I Come Around on the DVD when Billie sings "I'm a loser and a user so I don't need no accuser

to try and slag me down because I know you're right" it shows Mike & he mouths the words "...because I know you're fucked" instead of "right"

Yeah, that part is hilarious. It's little things like that on the DVD that made me smile even more. Like, how they react during welcome to paradise when the 21 Guns pyro goes off too early. Just great.

I couldn't resist. I just like making gifs..

Does anyone know what cities/countries the bonus songs from iTunes are from? I thought they had the list of them on greenday.com but they just show the songs.

Letterbomb is from Chula Vista, California. Christie Road is from Hartford, Conneticut. And Paper Lanterns/2,000 Light Years Away is from Alpharetta, Georgia. :)

I'm probably the only person who thought this, but while watching the DVD the thought that popped into my head the most (especially when the shot came from behind): Billie, your pants are falling off

And yes, the DVD was awesome, but a different awesome than what BIB was. But still good, so, thumbs up.

I don't even know what song it's in but I love it when Mike and Jason like knock into each other

I love in one of the songs when Mike licks his lips. It looks so funny.

Wasn't it during the intro from the Static Age?

I really liked that too :D

Just watched AAF! It's so much better in HD rather than youtube quality videos. :P

Static Age would have to be my all time favorite song on the DVD, it's just so great.

I love after the end credits, it says something about Reprise Records and then underneath it says "Bitches" haha, i thought that was funny.

Yeah it was Static Age, just noticed that tonight. It's so cool! The intro, just seeing the two of them, its almost like they're just jamming together, and there happens to be tens of thousands of people watching.

I love how they included My Generation. The start is a little unexpected, and Billie has to count Tré in on the drums at the beginning. It isn't perfect, but it doesn't matter! A great performance, and I love the instrumental solos, especially Mike's first bass solo

The entire DVD was recorded in 1 city over 2 days in January - Tokyo. It states this clearly on the cover and in the closing credits.

So I'm a terrible fan and I only had time to watch the DVD for the first time tonight. I love it  Static Age was my favorite I think, especially with Jason's sax solo. And the beginning where Billie said "This is the year of Green Day" made me tear up a little  It brought back all my memories of seeing Green Day last year and I got so nostalgic! Gloria! was amazing, and 21 Guns as well.

I got a little annoyed with the camera constantly jumping around, and the weird color effects on some of the songs, but overall I think the DVD is great.

I've been slacking as far as posts go this past year, but i have to say... the ending of JOS... fuck me hard.

I think they did it so they could promote 21st CB.
