Bastard of 1967 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I love your posts..... as always I So Fucking agree!!!!! Wish you could be at AI with us in April I knowwwww, I'm so sad that I'm going to miss the finale!!! Just gonna have to live vicariously through the rest of y'all! Ok so did I miss your review?? Nope, haven't had time to write one yet. House is going on the market in a few weeks and on the work front, we've spent the last two weeks digesting over 100 new users who just joined the firm. The IT burden this puts on us is just unbelievable...lots of long days and late nights *not* being able to watch the Awesome As Fuck DVD. Been able to listen to the audio on my iPod on the commute tho and it has been a LIFESAVER this week.

-Billiejoezee- Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Christie road is like so.... words can't describe. especially the beginning!
AlexaRebel27 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 loved the DVD! loved the album. the highlight of the DVD, for me, was Static Age, Burnout, My Generation, American Eulogy, & JOS. I liked Static Age mostly cause its just a fun song to scream the lyrics to. & i loved how Jason came out with his sax. That reminded me of when he did that in Massachusetts during Scattered last year! & lets not forget about the pink mask Burnout was amazing cause i just love the fucking song so much & i never really heard it live before! My Generation was awesome cause i loved how they covered it in Kerplunk (my fav album) & i've never heard the cover live. American Eulogy was amazing cause the crowd & band were full of energy! & i loved the "Nobody Likes You" at the end & last but certainly not least JOS. I loved it cause its just an unbelieveable song! Like Billie said in Bullet in a Bible, theres to much emotion to just simply say you love that song. I love it no matter how when or where it is played. & Good Riddance was pretty cool as well. cause its usually all sad when he plays it but i wasn't expecting to laugh at the end. He kinda ended it in a goofy way & i liked that
luvgirlcl Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 omg, I just found out it's finally out, here! More than one day earlier! I'm totally getting up early tomorrow to buy it!
GreenRanger Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Okay, so I got bored. I went through AAF (the CD) and listened for Billie to yell certain things and counted each time he said them. Here are the numbers I came up with...most of which are probably give and take a few.... Let's Go Crazy!/Let's Go Fuckin' Crazy! : 7 Hey Oh: 7 Jump: 25 C'mon!: 3 Let's Go!: 9 Alright!: 9 Go!: 15 Get Your/Those Hands Up!: 6 Everybody!: 5 This is just the numbers I came up with for the CD. I had a few guidelines as to what was what, so I'm probably off in a few places, but I mostly did this out of boredom after hearing Billie yell "Let's Go Crazy" so much. Oh yeah, and Geek Stink Breath has a ton of little things that I don't even know what they were. I think he kept stubbing his toe or something. His yells sound so weird in that song.
Zalex Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Ngl, listening to Who Wrote Holden Caulfield and knowing I was there is makin' me smile.

Mar Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Ooh, just saw a commercial for it on the Colbert Report
GreenRanger Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Ooh, just saw a commercial for it on the Colbert Report What did they call it?
-Billiejoezee- Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I think what makes this live album/dvd more special than bullet in a bible, even though it doesn't have backstage footage, is that BIAB was only england, and not many people from this forum were there, but LOADS of us WERE there for the live album/dvd, which makes us re live it, and be apart of it.
Mar Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Hey, I've got a random question for Last.fm users ... are you tagging the songs as being "live"? Like, you have the song titles as "Burnout (live)" or did you guys get rid of the "live" part? And did you get rid of the "[bonus track]" labels? Why yes, I am totally OCD about my scrobbling on Last.fm.

Mar Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 What did they call it? You know, I honestly don't remember! The ad caught my attention right after the announced the title, when I realized KYE was coming from my TV speakers haha... on my ipod i have stuff as "pulling teeth (live)" but since i have multiple copies of each GD song, and they all say (live), it get's annoying and i try to change it up a bit by writing "pulling teeth -live-" instead. Yeah, I know what you mean! Usually I just leave the song titles as they are, but since iTunes defaults them as "Song title (live)," I'm not sure if I should just leave it that way.

Why yes, I am totally OCD about my scrobbling on Last.fm. I've got the tracks labeled with the city they were from. I noticed a lot of other scrobblers were doing that, because the leaked copies of AAF came labeled that way. I left the [bonus Track] labels, and for the DVD audio, i've got it labeled as "Awesome as Fuck (Live in Japan)" and each track has (Live in Japan) right after it. ^Last.fm does auto-correct it to (live) though at times, so keep that in mind. hehe.

Ah, true, I forgot about auto-correct, which I love (most of the time)! I didn't even think about putting the cities, not a bad idea...
TheBasketcase Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Fuck Cant wait to buy this Cigerettes and Valentines is from to AZ show right?
Sanity Loan Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Fuck Cant wait to buy this Cigerettes and Valentines is from to AZ show right? The audio on the CD and DVD is yes. But the intro to the song (where Billie talks) is from the Denver show. And on the DVD, its a mixture of clips from Denver, Phoenix, and other random places
-Billiejoezee- Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 its a mixture of clips from Denver, Phoenix, and other random places Oh, are you serious? I thought only one show! That's great!
