Sanity Loan Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I went onto itunes to buy AAF but is there only the CD up for sale online? what about the video? You only get the audio. You can buy the video for $13 I think
.:Whatsername:. Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Yes Walmart has it. I'm Canadian, if that makes a difference?
-Billiejoezee- Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Yes Walmart has it. I'm Canadian, if that makes a difference? lol okay gloria is so great.
21st century idiot Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I was at the store when they opened to get it It is epic!!!!!!
MariaWhereDidYouGo? Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I bought it last week and watched it 3 times. I love it!! I cried with Cigarettes and Valentines ´cause the bonus video is full of images in Argentina ♥
AndrewW91 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 That's odd that Wal-Mart wouldn't carry 21st Century Breakdown because they wouldn't edit out the bad words, but they'll carry an album with the word fuck in the title.
EvanAsFuck Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 That's odd that Wal-Mart wouldn't carry 21st Century Breakdown because they wouldn't edit out the bad words, but they'll carry an album with the word fuck in the title. Well they only have it in Canada, not in the US...
mistress Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 hellooooo everyone i'm not in here much, but i'm sure i've met a lot of you at the musical and the concerts (i'm Marlene) I picked up my dvd today, after a crappy day at work, and now i'm looking forward to the only thing that can put me back in a good mood~~ Satifaction Guaranteed COMPLETELY looking forward to...oh about 20 minutes from now lol
Stuart&Ave Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 That's odd that Wal-Mart wouldn't carry 21st Century Breakdown because they wouldn't edit out the bad words, but they'll carry an album with the word fuck in the title. They had 21st Century Breakdown too. Walmart in Canada and Walmart in the US are not quite the same...
AndrewW91 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 They had 21st Century Breakdown too. Walmart in Canada and Walmart in the US are not quite the same... Oh. That's weird. I kinda figured they'd be the same, being as they're the same company and stuff. But I understand now.
.:Whatsername:. Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Yea, I got my 21st Century Breakdown at Walmart too. They just put an "Explicit Lyrics" sticker on it here. I don't really get why the US one wouldn't do the same. I'm glad though because I really have nowhere else to go to buy CD's that's close to me. I bought the bonus tracks off iTunes too just now, haven't listened yet since I'm watching something on TV now but I'm so glad they have Letterbomb as one of them. It's my favourite American Idiot song. And from reading this thread, apparently Christie Road is amazing too. As for the rest of the CD, some of my favourites were probably East Jesus Nowhere, Who Wrote Holden Caulfield and !Viva La Gloria! Going to Pasalacqua was really good too, and I've never really liked that song, but it sounds awesome live.
Guest Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Got AAF today, watched the DVD and listened to the entire CD. All I have to say is that I love it and I got to agree with someone who posted that My Generation is like the best song on there, well that and 21 Guns. I just love certain parts of the song when it's just the piano or when he adds a little extra something to the song. So beautiful. Anyway, I was happy with what there was on the DVD, just a little sad that there wasn't too much backstage stuff for us to enjoy, but oh well, beggar's can't be choosers y'know. I love the part in the beginning when the camera goes to Billie and he's like "What is this shit?" and then the bunny face appears on him. That part made me laugh so hard
captain peroxide Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I already knew the CD was amazing, but I'm loving the DVD too
Nickofsuburbia Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 anyone else love the fact the Billie sang the "nobody likes you" bit at the end of American Eulogy? thats my favorite Green Day lyric of all time and i was so happy when i heard that

That was totally amazing! I loved how that fit on to the end perfectly.
Zelda Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Holy fucking shit. That was amazing. I would have liked to see some backstage stuff like BIAB had, but other than that, I loved it. Truly lives up to its name. I fucking LOVED how Billie added Nobody Likes You to American Eulogy and his little "mess up" in Good Riddance. I'd watch it again, but my ADHD made it difficult for me to watch the whole thing in one sitting.
captain peroxide Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 That bum note at the end of Good Riddance was adorable.
Clayish Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 CD is so fucking good. The oldschool songs sound fucking incredible, and Letterbomb oh my god. Best song hands down.
-Billiejoezee- Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 21 guns from mountain view was amazing. wish I would have gone to that gig.
saraHsunshine Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I wish I had time to watch the DVD tonight :/ I've been listening to the CD all day <3
EvanAsFuck Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Just leaving Best Buy...they don't have the Blu-Ray version. Anyone able to find it in stores, or do I have to go online for it? I had the same problem... Spent like an hour today trying to find the Blu-Ray and ended up having to settle for the DVD version for now, and I'm gonna order the Blu-Ray off of Amazon...
Guest Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 The dvd was rad, but Good Riddance seemed so sped up....O_O
radiofriendlyunitshifter Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Probably going to get AAF tomorrow I wish they would have those three songs as "CD only" tracks, instead of iTunes only. It's like rewarding the dog for crapping on your neighbor's lawn. Then again, if you hate your neighbor....
