Just watched it. Awesome. Just as good, or better, than Bullet in a Bible.

I watched it last night...and three times this morning. It's so good! And Static Age was awesome, easily my favourite of the whole DVD.

I know I saw the track listing a while ago, so I can't really complain now, but why no KFAD or Longview? Or AI?I wanted to see them all dance during the 'do the propaganda' bit again

I love that we got to see more of the Jasons and Jeff this time.

Is it just me, or are there a few weird audio glitches here and there? Like sounds were copy and pasted almost.

For example, during 21st Century Breakdown, at the very end when Billie Joe sings "heroes and coouns," it sounds clipped or something.

Also, on When I Come Around, his voice sounds echoey then suddenly becomes less echoey in the middle.

Anyone else hear these?

I did notice some weird glitches on the CD.

I agree with you on When I Come Around. There is a part where the vocals seem to change.

I didn't notice anything wrong with 21CB though.

What I did notice is on Holden Caulfield, there is a slight 'skip' in the audio near the start around the line "burst in MY head". It sounds like the CD jumps for half second.

Also, in 21 Guns, the first "One, 21 guns" in the interlude right after the short piano bit sounds very 'hollow'. It just doesnt seem to fit. It's like the vocals was suddenly faded in or something

well there are certainly songs that have been cut and edited - EJN for instance, has none of the choosing the kid(s) to save.

I guess it's just been done better on some songs than on others.

^Yeah I noticed all of those too. Slightly disappointing, and those are some very obvious mistakes.

Wonder what happened there...?

True. I just think they should've noticed those glaring glitches. For a band of Green Day's stature, I feel like those should be avoided at all costs.

Tomorrow ? :runaround:

Is it going to be in the stores tomorrow in Austria and Germany?

Yesssssssshh!

The songs sound eargasmic, especially the old ones like Pasalasqua. And I love their cover of My Generation and the 'a capella' bit at the end of American Eulogy

Yes, also on the CD, during Know Your Enemy when normally the chosen guy does the ooheey oheey part (i hope you get what I mean) it sounded like they copied and pasted the crowd doing it. Idk it just sounded weird.

Thank you hmv.com :D Mine's just arrived in the post today!

Now to find an excuse to spend all day listening!

The frantic faces and flailing Billie did when trying to get the EJN guy to stagedive were hilarious

This  I had to laugh so hard.

The editing before the Zieg Heil part in Holiday was really weird, kind of jumpy.

I didn't know Billie did an actual hitler-greeting (that what it's called in English?) when he does the Zieg Heil thing. :/

He's been doing this at every show since the release of the song. Check out the Bullet In A Bible version, it is a bit more difficult to make out, but he's doing it there :)

Wtf was up with Burnout being completley in yellow.

I didn't mind Burnout being in yellow. I think it should clarify that this song was released 17 years ago... When I Come Around was annyoing though... :pinch:

And Billie going "nobody likes you" etc in the end was nice too.

One of the best parts.

Good Riddance.. really beautiful. It was beautifully sung, it's a beautiful song, and the spot thingy looks beautiful too.

The second to last note he played made me laugh so hard  Everyone was ready for the final strumming part and he made this completely strange sound. Hilarious!

God, My Generation totally blew my mind. I knew it was on the DVD but I totally wasn't expecting it as I saw it =) There was such an amazing power in this performance. They should definitely play it more often live!

Not best pleased with the lack of "HEINEKEN, FUCK THAT SHIT!" from My Generation :P

I still haven't managed to watch the DVD.

Me: "Um, I can't really say the title. Awesome as...you know...fishsticks."

Target Girl: "OOOOOOH! Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Awesome as F. We won't have that in until Tuesday morning."

Why couldn't you say it?

I don't have the money for it at the moment :( And I could have gone to the screening yesterday for free but nope, I missed out again :(

At the beginning: Tré: "Oh Yeah"

What I found.

back front

mines isn't 2 disc though.

Ah, only the side parts (??) are brown... my green case one looks like this, so the cover looks all weird as well:

Actually, my Basket Case single is *also* in one of those green cases.

I had honestly never noticed that.

Yeah, When I Come Around was definitely more annoying. But Burnout was still weird as well, and as for that 17 years ago released thing... all the other Dookie songs (except WICA) were normal. And there were more songs with a lot of weird colouring (21 Guns comes to mind first, but there's probably a couple others as well. The beginning of Know Your Enemy entirely in blue).

And whoever did all the slow-motion parts didn't do well imo, a bit of slow-motion is fine but the way it was done most of the time was just annoying.

Haha yeah

The "brothers and sisters" during Holiday (on the DVD) sounds NOTHING like him. I'm almost certain that was dubbed.

:runaround:

I paid €25/$35 for mine D:

I mean, I know CDs are complete rip-offs here, and even more so when they're new (the regular 21stCB cost nearly twice as much as that hot topic bonus version of yours), but that's just insane.

WHAT THAT'S WAY TO MUCH. That's what I payed for AAF, AAF (BlueRay) aaaand BIAB BlueRay. :o

okay i had a 10€ giftcard but BIAB was for free ...

Anyone preorder the blue ray of play.com in uk and had it dispatched yet?

What I also in a way like about this, is that it's an almost hour and a half long DVD, but it felt like there were so many songs missing. Makes you realize how giant Green Day shows are. A lot of bands could fit almost their entire show in a DVD of this length, but with Green Day it's like "this song's missing, they always play that!" every two songs.

It is. But it's a bonus thing and since new CDs by big/big-ish artists are always €20 and since it was a bonus thing with the special booklet and all, they slapped another €5 on it.

Haha, yeah, it confused me a bit at first, but I think that looks completely awesome. This "Aaaaaalright", directly followed by the drum intro with Mike jumping to the beat. But it's all a matter of taste :) The EJN slow - motion annoyed the hell out of me too :pinch:

Yeah, I guess it's a matter of taste indeed. I didn't really dislike the Know Your Enemy thing by the way, it was just a bit weird. Have to say I was relieved when I saw it wasn't like that the entire song, though!

Can someone PM me a link for the bonus tracks please

:whistle

I have puchaced the CD/DVD already so Green Day and Warner have already got money from me just not Steve Jobs :P

NEVERMIND :happy::whistle

a special booklet?

21stCB. Not AAF. That entire thing was about the 21stCB special edition, haha.

I totally knew you were talking about 21stCB :whistle:thumbsup:
