The "wake up" in Letterbomb...oh my god. Serious chills. I know right? I'm glad he did that. Damn i need to hear this album already.

pasalaska Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I really haven't noticed any changes or alterations in the CD. I think it sounds great and I'm super duper happy with it. My only complaint is that they cut off the guitar intro to Going To Pasalacqua.
Hermione Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 It's not Warner editing the songs, it's just whoever's got the job of mixing/editing the album. It's not some evil record company person doing it, it's people who work with Green Day in their studio. They have to edit the songs down to fit them on the CD and to make a listen-able album. You might not be happy with what they've chosen to cut out, but it's just part of making a live CD.

I've listened to "Letterbomb" and "Pasalacqua" off of my Chula boot a couple of times today. Yeah, the "wake up" is awesome, and much as I don't like the missing distorted guitars is "Pasalacqua," the song still rocks. (I might've listened to "American Eulogy" a time or two as well...) You were the one that posted the boot on here right? i always listen to it. Man, i was REALLY hoping for a studio mixed version of pasalacqua. The intro guitar part was like... my moment of glory that night. I was praying they'd play it, then i hear billie play the intro, and all hell broke loose in my head. brought back so many memories....

Karen. Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 The extra tracks are so amazing. Listening to the cd part makes me want to see video of all the individual concerts especially anything with a guitar solo. I hope there's good stuff on you tube. I avoided checking so far. Memories......

DorsetGirl Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I still don't understand why there's two slightly different versions - one called Awesome as F**K (ASIN: B004GHBQ7O) and one called Awesome as **** (ASIN: B004L6BGIE) which apparently has one extra track (She) on the DVD. I've decided I can't wait any longer, and I'm going to order the latter because why would I choose to have one less track. But I really don't get why they've put out two slightly different versions of the DVD? I changed my mind - when I looked at the enlarged image of the first one (back cover), it quite clearly said that She was on the DVD. So I'm going for that one, that says Awesome as F**K on the front. I think I'm old enough for the occasional swear word by now This whole thing has been a complete pain. I've never had so much difficulty in working out what to order before. I'd have had this on pre-order the instant it was announced if there hadn't been these different versions going on. Still, it's ordered now.

It's supposed to be realeased here on the 18th but they don't have it yet I should be watching the DVD now HMV said they have a delivery coming in this afternoon and they hope it's in that delivery.
