greendaytone Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 What did they do for BIAB's release? Was it just the premiere or did they do a few signing and stuff like that? The band were at the premiere for BIAB and introduced it, in London. I think they attended the premiere in the US somewhere.
Tubbie Head Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 The band were at the premiere for BIAB and introduced it, in London. I think they attended the premiere in the US somewhere. hmmmmm.. It would be interesting if they come to London for a premier and then do a couple of FHT shows around the zone... (But they could announce it a little bit earlier so that I could get on the plane and stuff... Oh never mind, I'll probably have exams in the end of March)
colour_me_stupid_ Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 No no no no no no no NO Becca cannot afford such shenanigans. Unless they play Download or Sonisphere, if they play festivals at all. EDIT: Ok I didn't realise this could mean cinema showings or autograph sessions or anything Getting ahead of myself
gdpony Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I don't think the guys will have a big premiere this time, but some promotion for the album would be great!
-Billiejoezee- Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 they attended the premiere in the US somewhere. Here. Damn. Lucky UK.
Bubbles. Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Had a fit on the train when I heard about "some special UK events" to be announced at a later date, it's got me all paranoid and excited at the same time! Whatever it is, I'll be there if possible!
Jacob. Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 1500 posts. This deserves a celebratory picture. One month seems like so much longer to wait, but once it's a week away, time will really slow down.
love_billie_joe Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 The band were at the premiere for BIAB and introduced it, in London. I think they attended the premiere in the US somewhere. this is random, but according to your sig have you really seen green day 37 times?!? As well as the 3 for Foxboro?!?!? Holy shit you lucky basterd!!!! Where did you get the money?!?!? anywho... addressing the actual question of the forum.... I knew that they were eventually coming out with another live album, DVD, because they were filming at one of the shows that I went to, but I had no idea that it was coming out this March. Hey, a little bit after my Bday!!!!!
Punk-tastic32 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 yeah thank you February that you are so short! February must be Billie's month sorry, couldn't resist
-Billiejoezee- Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 February must be Billie's month sorry, couldn't resist I'd give you 1+ but I'm using mobile.
gmcloughlin Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 First thing that popped to mind when I read about these "Special UK Events" was festivals Its a long shot, but I could make it over the pond if that were to happen and we didn't get an Irish date Otherwise I'm thinking an English premiere, or autograph signings/meet and greets, etc. I've a feeling though if they aren't actually doing any Green Day gigs, the Tubbies could turn up
Tre_Gina Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I'm excited now I just want need to know what going to happen.
rfgz Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I need to say that according to what I know a new CD or music DVD in Germany never gets released any other day but Friday. So The 22nd isn't possible to be the real release date at least here in Germany. Since I can remember movies get into cinemas Thursdays and new music gets released Fridays.
Anja Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Cheers for posting that As a long shot, i could see Green Day performing at festivals this summer on the back of it. Ya never know! Well, I'll be at Rock am Ring so if you feel like coming around...
greendaytone Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Well, I'll be at Rock am Ring so if you feel like coming around... I'd be there with bells on! (or something more appropriate) this is random, but according to your sig have you really seen green day 37 times?!? As well as the 3 for Foxboro?!?!? Holy shit you lucky basterd!!!! Where did you get the money? I have indeed, and I worked a lot of hours to get the money for it
November's Storms Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 If UK events include Ireland I am seriously hoping its a premier or a signing rather than a concert. Simply cos I don't have the money for a show!
sassafrasroots_ Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Perordered mine from HMV on Sunday =} eeek! Since its the start of February, we can now say the album is coming out next month! And Feb is a short month! woopwoop! so can't wait for it to come out now =} This article is pretty interesting. Release date as the 21st of march and hints at possible cinema showings in the uk maybe http://www.gigwise.com/news/61053/Green-Day-Confirm-New-Album-DVD-Awesome-As-F*ck I'm liking the sound of this :} so excited now!
Hermione Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 If UK events include Ireland I am seriously hoping its a premier or a signing rather than a concert. Simply cos I don't have the money for a show! Yeah if it's a festival appearance theres no way I'll be going. But if it was an event like a premiere or signing and they pulled a surprise small show of some kind I think I'd try to find the money, small shows are cheaper . I really hope whatever it is will actually involve the band. Can't wait to find out.
idc Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Whawhawha??? This is the official german site for Green Day and its saying that it will be released on 18th here??? I can only hope thats true I'd literally freak the fuck out!! But it might be possible right since as far as I know in 2005 BIAB also got released earlier here.. but whaaa The Fabulous Link german GD side SUCKS. btw^^
greendaytone Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Yeah if it's a festival appearance theres no way I'll be going. A trip over for the band in March could coincide nicely with them finalising plans to bring the musical over here
AndrewW91 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Green Days AAF is going to be awesome. But my parents won't let me go even if the venue is close Who can afford it. $20. EVERYONE BUT ME Uuuh. It's not a tour, it's a DVD/CD.

Smoothed Out Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I just keep flicking my calendar over to next month where I can see the words Awesome as Fuck written on it And as for the so-called `special UK events` on gigwise.com...hyperventilation time indeed
