Anja Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Whyyyy there's no 'It's Fuck Time' from Mainz? Or any other song from that show at all. Such an epic show it was. Anyway, I'm happy they included When I Come Around from Berlin Well, it's obviously not a Green Day song so why would they include it? Silly I bet you can hear us screaming in there jk
Sanity Loan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Sorry if this has already been posted but do you have to buy the entire album off iTunes to get the extra songs? I've never bought an album on iTunes before... I would love to have a physical copy of the cd though. No one is for sure. There isn't a trend. For the 21CB bonus tracks, you had to purchase the whole album. Who knows with this one. We wont know until it appears on iTunes

Katarina. Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm so happy we are getting a live album and DVD anyway! Now we having something new to look forward to this year. Now that I think more about it, the tracklist is really better than I expected it to be. This is nothing like BIAB, thank god. And yeah, you can see the guys picked out some of the songs, since it's not just a collection of 'hit singles', which I am very happy about. Like, I never thought about having Who Wrote Holden Caulfield and Going to Pasalacqua on this live record! This is not called Awesome as Fuck for no reason..
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 If you buy the album in physical form you should be getting free legal downloads There's no way I'm going to buy the album twice because Apple paid a bit extra for the rights, they can stand to lose a little money. Although that might mean they create some new essentially pointless market to make more money in with a new size of gadget we don't need...
Tubbie Head Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 i dont see why everyone is pissed at the setlist Is ANYONE pissed at the setlist? XD
Job Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Where is Before the Lobotomy, Give Me Novacaine, Nice Guys, Static Age(CD), Brain Stew/Jaded, King For a Day, any acoustic song before the big 2(Last Night, Pulling Teeth, Words I Might Have Ate), and others. I really like the gems on the CD, but why would you only include 17 songs, when Green Day play 40 songs a show. Doesn't make sense.. A CD is not physically able to contain 40 songs. 17 songs is already a lot. A three-disc set would be 30 bucks, and I don't know if many people would buy that. The label has to think economically.
Sanity Loan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 or you could always torrent it OK. That just makes the price go up and album-only's happen more often
Sanity Loan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Is ANYONE pissed at the setlist? XD Yes, some people are (not me though).
Nickofsuburbia Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Is ANYONE pissed at the setlist? XD lost of people are angry that their show isnt on there OK. That just makes the price go up and album-only's happen more often but torrents are free for YOU problem?
Sanity Loan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 but torrents are free for YOU problem? Yes. How would you like someone "stealing" your hard work that is suppose to be exchanged for money?
ThisIsNotNora Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm really happy that Who wrote holden caulfield was added to the track list :3
Boston Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Considering all the awesome songs they played on this tour, the tracklist is semi-weaksauce. However, there's a song from Hartford! Nothing from Boston, though. He tweeted that it was his favorite show of the tour thus far. I am happy that they're not releasing songs that have been released millions of times (like Longview). I wish they'd do a super-deluxe edition for the superfans, because I'd be all over it! And I guess I'd rather see JOS on the DVD than on the live album.
Holly Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 it is The first 4 songs come from the UK 2010 date and the irish one Yay! Thanks
BrickOfSelfControl1995 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 i'm not pissed at the set list, however i did notice there's no basket case, longview or american idiot (on the dvd) and that's a little odd since those are usually shoo-ins for all concerts. however i'm slightly disappointed there's not song from the august 11th show in Virginia, but then again everyone who doesn't have their show on the album is a little disappointed but still, really excited for this... can't wait until march 22nd!!
LMC Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yes. How would you like someone "stealing" your hard work that is suppose to be exchanged for money? That's an odd choice of words. Sorry but, supposed to be exchanged for money? People shouldn't create music if they are only trying to exchange their songs for money. I know that what I'm saying is not entirely realistic since music has long ago moved from being an art form to an industry. But that point of view of yours is scary.
Metanoia Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Oooh.....so great it finally got released!!! Too bad there's nothing from my concerts on the CD though And no BOBD
luvgirlcl Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Torrents are bad, m'kay? Torrents are bad, EXCEPT when you live in a country where there isn't an iTunes store
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Or when you've already paid for the fuckin thing and you don't deserve to miss out on the bonus tracks!
Boston Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 i'm not pissed at the set list, however i did notice there's no basket case, longview or american idiot (on the dvd) and that's a little odd since those are usually shoo-ins for all concerts. They've been released so many times, and there are so many rare songs that were played, and they could only put so many songs on an album. I'm so happy about the lack of BOBD. I almost can't stand that song at this point.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Oooh.....so great it finally got released!!! Too bad there's nothing from my concerts on the CD though And no BOBD But there's BoBD on the DVD! Which means there will undoubtedly be an audio file of that too, haha.
Metanoia Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 But there's BoBD on the DVD! Which means there will undoubtedly be an audio file of that too, haha. well yeah thats great though you're right
deadair Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Just got home from school and finally got to see the tracklisting, WAY better than I expected! The only things I have to nitpick about are: 1. No "Olivia"? No "Drama Queen"? Why play a new song live and not put it on the album? 2. No "Basket Case"? If "She" is on the album, "Basket Case" should be paired with it. They are at almost every concert 3. "Christie Road" shouldn't be a bonus track, it should be part of the actual album. But that's just more of a personal preference seeing "Christie Road" is my 2nd favorite Green Day song. 4. The CD is lacking "The Static Age" and "Jesus Of Suburbia". Once again it's not a big deal, just a personal preference since they ARE on the DVD, I just listen to live recordings more than I watch them. But, I can't even express in words how happy I am to see "Going To Pasalacqua" and "Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?" on the album! Thanks Green Day!
Wet socks traumatize me Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 They can't make everyone happy with the tracklist. Of course diehard fans like us would have preferred more rare songs, but casual fans would like to have more radio songs. So. I am very happy with the setlist. But I would have liked Give me Novacaine. But you know what... that tokyo concert was from like the first leg of the 21st CB tour... and they did much more rare songs on the 2010 summer tour.
