Oh really? Maybe it was a combined effort. He looked over at where I was and pointed at my sign and then said something about taking requests and walked around for a minute and then played it.

maybe seeing 2 signs for it made him make up his mind

What I really want to know is the dates for the tracklist - like 'London' could mean 2009 or 2010 (I'm assuming Wembley, but that's just an example), and there are a few other shows that could be from either year.

I'm personally hoping it's all 2010, but that's just me being selfish.

I really wanna know that too (Wembley or first night at the O2 please!). Someone should get Andres to ask their people about it :D

Alright, now I get what you're saying. And I agree, the silliness hasn't been advertised at all, and for the most part is being left off of the CD (we'll have to see about the DVD and if there are behind-the-scenes stuff.... you KNOW there will be goofy stuff in that).

But who are we to care about advertisements? We know the band's silly side and we love it. We don't need Warner marketing it for us to know about it :)

Haha you're right, it still irritatates me though :P. And I'd forgotten all about the possibility of backstage stuff, fingers crossed for that!

I'm happy about the tracklist, especially the CD. You can tell the band picked out some of the songs on the CD.

Do you think some of the songs they chose were the highlights of the show? They picked JAR from Detroit and he tweeted that was his highlight. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head.

it's kinda bugging me, I really wanna know!

as far as I can see the 2009/2010 thing applies to:

21st Century Breakdown (London)

Know Your Enemy (Manchester)

East Jesus Nowhere (Glasgow)

Holiday (Dublin)

American Idiot (Montreal)

I went to all those places in 2010, so I'm hoping they're the 2010 recordings

he did too! I remember that.

good spotting.

Since American Idiot came out it seems they always try to downplay the silly, fun elements of Green Day and market them as more serious than they really are. It's always annoyed me.

I completely agree with this, the videos have all been shit since then, as though they actually take themselves seriously, 21 Guns being the low point. However, having 5 songs from the first two albums, another that's not even on an album and then one that's not even been released yet is good enough to convince me that they were having fun with the setlist, and hopefully others will look at it and think "they're not just putting all the singles on to appease the suits, they've had a good go at this".

the band were involved in decided the track listing. dont know if anybody else was, like their management or anybody from the record company. from the press release I would say they chose all of them.

I think it's important that we all remember that we spent pretty much the whole tour without having the least clue that there would be a live CD/DVD (up until when Billie Joe tweeted about it), because I, for one, didn't have the least hope of a live album. Then, after the tweet, everyone worked under the assumption that we'd only have a live CD (just go and check out the first few posts on this thread), and if we were really lucky we'd get a DVD. So I think we should just be grateful (independently of what the tracklists are) that we're getting official live material, because they could have just not released anything at all. I'm not saying that we should be conformists, but things could be worse. :)

And like netty said (and like I said in a previous post), let's not underestimate the guys, I'm betting they were very hands on about choosing the tracklists, I just can't imagine them leaving that to a bunch of excecutives.

is that for both the CD and the DVD though?

both I should imagine. the press release is about both. I dont know why anybody would think they didnt have a say in what went on it. after all its their music. they arent told what to do by reprise. especially after all this time!

LOL GD's facebook posted this 3 minutes ago:

JUST ANNOUNCED: Awesome As F**k CD and bonus DVD tracklisting! Don't forget to pre-order your copy today- http://wbr.fm/GDAmazon

just announced my ass. it's been 13 odd hours since GDA posted it and pages and pages of discussion on GDC have been created

fail, offical Green Day people, fail.

hmm. I really am trying to be more positive about the DVD tracklist. I guess I will reserve further judgement until after I have watched it :)

Yeah I do like the setlist, lots of really interesting and rarer song choices. It's only the silliness/humour that's ended up a bit neglected, other than that they've done well with it. Lack of silliness in the promotion of Green Day is just a pet hate of mine

I love the CD's setlist! I'm not so happy about the DVD one but it's great anyway

They didn't put in Waiting, at Wembley, which I think was the best song on the setlist :cry::(

if i'm reading right, it says the deluxe album is only available digitally? boo :(

It sucks :( I can't buy anything off the internet... and two of my favorite songs, Letterbomb and Christie Road are only available digitally.

Same here.

And I really thought that Brain Stew and specially Jaded was on the DVD.. 'Cause of the trailer, when BJ is without the guitar and jumps incredibly high.. you know? The only songs he has just microphone in his hands is during Jaded and St. Jimmy isn't it?

nooo there is king for a day, too!

yeah, i'm a little disappointed too :(

I don't *want* to buy it digitally... much rather have a physical copy.

sucks, I would really love those bonus songs :(

I reaaaaally hope that 21st Century Breakdown is from Wembley, it was the most spine-tingling song of my entire life.

I'm pretty happy with the setlist, there are a few songs I can't believe aren't on there, but it is going to be amazing :runaround:

Particularly glad about Viva la Gloria, Burnout, American Eulogy and Jesus Of Suburbia being on the DVD. Some pretty awesome stuff on the CD too, I'm going to have to buy the itunes one as well for those extra songs.

Which is exactly why I said "just because its in the trailer, doesn't mean it'll be in the final video." I said this when the trailer came out and when people started guessing what the songs.

I guess I was correct :P

damn you, you're too good :)

that's one point for you ;D

WOW, No BASKET CASE in CD or DVd surprise me a lot.......

how could I forget about that!

damn, now I'm bummed it's not on there.

I was thinking this when I looked at it, Waiting was freaking amaaazing!

And I wish they'd have put Dominated Love Slave or something like that on there. Or all the wonderful legs kicks in Shout. :eyebrow:

Do we know if there will be any backstage stuff or is it just the songs? They can't show Tre backstage on the trailer and then not put any on the DVD, that would just be cruel :pinch:
