DecanoLP Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Holy shit! This tracklist is better than I expected it to be. 2 years ago, I didn't even think that I was able to hear WWHC again and now they're releasing it on a Live CD.... Amazing! The other tracks are awesome as well. Christie Road, Paper Lanterns... Yes!! And yeah to the CD!! They included some old stuff... March can't come fast enough!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Wow, did they seriously misspell Pasalacqua? and that calls themselves an official website... also nice how they didn't bother to spell out like, any song But, that is a nice setlist, much better than I expected. And those bonus tracks But the whole CD soundtrack is pretty awesome.... Pasalacqua, Holden Caulfield, JAR, Burnout, and they kept their word for Cigs&Valentines. Yaaay I'm also glad that September is at least on the CD. and the DVD tracklist isn't half bad either. This is so much better than I thought it would be.
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yea me too. The setlist was okay... I don't know, nothing rare really. when he asked for requests someone asked for castaway and he's like 'ehh, I can't play that :/ ' That would've been amazing. yeah me and a couple other people were asking for horseshoes and handgrenades but i guess thats a hard one too The venue were really strict on curfew so im guessing that played a part in how the show turned out .
ThisIsNotNora Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Who wrote Holden Caulfield But they took Cigarettes and Valentines from Phoenix and not Demver
gdpony Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 yea especially that costa rica show. I KNOW Also I hadn't thought about the no minority thing. I loved the confetti! ..
Mar Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I hope they include the intro to Gloria: Eww, I forgot how obnoxiously short and blond his hair was; at least it won't look like that on the DVD [/shallow] Dai was saying (and I agree) that there's plenty of songs on the DVD that are kind of unnecessary, like Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams (which I personally think is a fucking boring song, even live) and Jesus of Suburbia. Those are all great songs and whatnot, but we have them on Bullet in a Bible. I doubt they've changed much, and even if they have, why not use that space for other songs we haven't seen live before. It seems like Green Day didn't actually have much say in the choosing of tracks from the DVD. It seems like it's been geared to appeal to the masses, rather than the hardcore fans. I was thinking the same exact thing as you guys. That's not what he/she meant. He/she is bothered by the fact that they labeled it "Gloria" and not "Viva La Gloria!" It bothers me, too
AndrewW91 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Eww, I forgot how obnoxiously short and blond his hair was; at least it won't look like that on the DVD [/shallow] I love his hair short and blond.
mankat13 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Very very happy about the setlist!!! but just one question, i like to have a physical copy of my cd's but itunes gets 3/4 songs extra. do you think i could just buy them extra songs separately? if not is there a way to burn all the songs on a blank disc and dvd? And i also liked his hair short and blond.

I think I'm going to buy it on both, I have an iTunes voucher after all. Can't miss out on the extra song, but got to have it physically. I think Paper Lanterns/2000 Light Years will be pre-order only, and we'd be able to buy Letterbomb and Christie Road individually.
sampy Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Noooooo NGFL ? Well, still the track list is pretty cool! I didn't excpect anything like that. In a good way But I still wanted NGFL on the album :/ But anyway it's gonna be great and fun to listen. DVD looks nice too!
Rebel07 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I bet this has probably been said a million times by now, but if they insisted on only including one show for the DVD, they should have chose Costa Rica. That setlist was freaking AMAZING! The tokyo set list was probably the most generic setlists I've seen and then they take that and cut it almost in half. I'm pretty stoked for the CD but I only wish the CD and the DVD had the same tracklist. If they did, I'd would have probably crapped my pants after seeing the tracklist... Even though I'm bitching a whole lot, I'm still excited for the release.
Harriet Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I love the fact they've included some old songs on the tracklist, but I do think some of the best shows have been overlooked. Even though I'm bitching a whole lot, I'm still excited for the release. Yeah I know what you mean, I feel like I've been complaining too much about what songs they're including/the fact it's in Tokyo. I need to remember that they don't have to do it and since it's Green Day it's gonna be amazing whatever.
Rancid punk:LTD Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I was hoping for When I Come Around!!! Wooooooo they should've put VIVA LS GLORIA!!!!
MCC Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I was hoping for When I Come Around!!! Wooooooo they should've put VIVA LS GLORIA!!!! Viva la Gloria! is on the cd. Were you wanting Viva la Gloria?
sampy Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 One thing which I'm a little bit disappointed about is that the CD's tracks locations are pretty much from UK, USA and Germany/Austria, I was expecting more variety on those, no more Europe, no South America? It doesn't matter for the song where it's played, I mean what is it for fans, It would've been great if there would've been more variety and more people could be like: "omg my show's on their new live record!! I was there!", y'know.

Tomcat20 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm sure they started mixing and sorting things out right after the last North American Show!
sampy Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I agree.. especially for the people in South America. Yeah, especially for them.
CzechIdiot Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 the setlist is great, there could be more South america or europe, but i love the songs they chose . Static Age on the DVD yeah!!!!
Burnout98 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Im loving the setlist! So glad they put JAR and Going To Pasalaqcua!!!
Mellyboots Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Dublin. I wonder which show it's from! I agree with most people that the dvd is kinda disappointing, but I'm so happy AE is on it! And the CD is way better than I thought it would be.
Punx89 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 the tracklists are very cool, but where is Basket Case and King for a Day???
ltrbmb17 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 the tracklists are very cool, but where is Basket Case and King for a Day??? think they didn't include them 'coz they've been on Bullet in a Bible. As for "King for a Day" - maybe it was difficult to choose the best performance CD track list is amazing!!!!! Hope to hear "Cigarettes & Valentines" in good quality!!! Thanks for Going to Pasalaqua - it's playing in my head right now!!!
Rancid punk:LTD Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Viva la Gloria! is on the cd. Were you wanting Viva la Gloria? oh I mean since they just put Gloria instead of Viva La Gloria! but yea Viva la Gloria? is better I think
