GDLoT Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 OMG!!! Im freaking out too, when I heard about it I literally screamed!!! I can't believe Detroit made it on!!!!!! But I'm so hyped for the CD and DVD especially for all the rarities!!! i'm pretty darned happy about it too!! HAHAHA!!! i'm very happy with all the old school songs! i can't stop smiling! permanent GRIN!
GDM Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I watched a youtube video of 21st Century Breakdown at Wembley a few hours ago. Spooky! Should be fun listening to that and reliving the insanity of it in my mind. Other than that not too fussed about listening to (as opposed to watching video of) most of the songs on the CD, except Viva La Gloria. Gonna love listening to that So it's the Wembley version and not the 02 version? I was counting how many of the shows I was at, and if it's the Wembley version, I was only at seven of them and not eight, lol. I'm liking the tracklist. Can't wait for this to come out.
pasalaska Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I really am surprised that there is nothing from South America on there. I thought that they were a no-brainer also, I wonder if the shows with no specified date are 2010 or 2009 Because it seems very 2010-biased
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I really am surprised that there is nothing from South America on there. I thought that they were a no-brainer yea especially that costa rica show.
Fanny. Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yay AI from Montreal is there It's really great that the setlist of the CD is diverse and includes rarities! Even though 1000 hours is not included, I'm still happy with what we get! I was hoping the DVD would include more songs, but Im hopeful there will be some backstage stuff! If its not the case thatd be a pretty short dvd. The BIAB CD is like an hour long, only two more songs on AAF is not that much.. Anyway I'm really excited and looking forward to March 22rd Btw does anyone know if we have to buy the whole CD on iTunes to get the three bonus tracks? I totally forgot about that! Damn that woulda been such an amazing pick... That and/or 80, 86, Brat, or Homecoming all from Quebec City! I still really badly wanna hear that Homecoming performance... Who knows, maybe one day a bootleg from the Quebec show will surface! I really hope so (:
Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 yeah I know you would have and I am glad they had at least 21 guns was from mountain view as well THREE of your songs? I think they're spoiling you! So it's the Wembley version and not the 02 version? I was counting how many of the shows I was at, and if it's the Wembley version, I was only at seven of them and not eight, lol. I'm liking the tracklist. Can't wait for this to come out. Ahh you could be right, I was thinking it was all 2010 but looking at it again it's not. I hope it's either from Wembley or the first night at the O2!
lastnightonGDA Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 yeah I know you would have and I am glad they had at least 21 guns was from mountain view as well I was a little surprised that they only put in 1 song from mountain view.
farley drexel hatcher Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm hoping the London show is either wembley stadium, or either of the o2 shows xD I'm pretty stoked about that lol
Tomcat20 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Very cool Track. WICA from Berlin was recorded October 2009!
alaniluau Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Well, after experiencing the excitement of the setlist, I might actually have to consider preordering this now.
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 THREE of your songs? I think they're spoiling you! Ahh you could be right, I was thinking it was all 2010 but looking at it again it's not. I hope it's either from Wembley or the first night at the O2! Well four if you count Burnout from Irvine, but what can you say they had to do Cali well.
Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm hoping the London show is either wembley stadium, or either of the o2 shows xD I'm pretty stoked about that lol I was gonna say Wembley's more likely since it was their biggest ever show. But then the South American shows were really special and they haven't included anything from any of them, so I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. They could've bloody told us which one of the 4 shows it is!
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I was a little surprised that they only put in 1 song from mountain view. Yeah now that you mention it I would have Loved the KFAD from Mountain View with Santa Claus is Coming to town in the medely
lastnightonGDA Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yeah now that you mention it I would have Loved the KFAD from Mountain View with Santa Claus is Coming to town in the medely Yea! that was so awesome.
pasalaska Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Btw does anyone know if we have to buy the whole CD on iTunes to get the three bonus tracks? Who knows, maybe one day a bootleg from the Quebec show will surface! I really hope so (: I'm pretty sure that they'd make the tracks available for individual purchase. They've got to realise people will buy the actual CD/DVD, surely? and I'm doubtful we'll ever get to hear Quebec City again I was a little surprised that they only put in 1 song from mountain view. To be honest, I'm not. Mountain View wasn't their best show by far.
lastnightonGDA Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 To be honest, I'm not. Mountain View wasn't their best show by far. Yea, I know but it's their hometown... actually nah, there's only a limited amount of space so you're right, 1's enough.
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yea, I know but it's their hometown... actually nah, there's only a limited amount of space so you're right, 1's enough. yeah and honestly i was expecting better for the hometown show.
Zelda Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Anyone know which of the Glorias it is on the CD/DVD? Other than that, pretty great tracklist. Pissed about the iTunes exclusives. It's times like this that I hate being a Zune user. And no KFAD on the DVD? That's one of my favorite performances to watch, but whatever. There are a shitload of videos on Youtube.
lastnightonGDA Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 yeah and honestly i was expecting better for the hometown show. Yea me too. The setlist was okay... I don't know, nothing rare really. when he asked for requests someone asked for castaway and he's like 'ehh, I can't play that :/ ' That would've been amazing.

Prisca Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Dai was saying (and I agree) that there's plenty of songs on the DVD that are kind of unnecessary, like Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams (which I personally think is a fucking boring song, even live) and Jesus of Suburbia. Those are all great songs and whatnot, but we have them on Bullet in a Bible. I doubt they've changed much, and even if they have, why not use that space for other songs we haven't seen live before. It seems like Green Day didn't actually have much say in the choosing of tracks from the DVD. It seems like it's been geared to appeal to the masses, rather than the hardcore fans. I completely agree with you on the BOBD! Maybe it's beacause it has just been way too overplayed? I dunno, but I would've loved another track to make it besides that one. I mean, I'm sure there's a bunch of videos of that song on Youtube with good quality. Oh well. I just realized they included “Welcome To Paradise” and that makes me soooooooooper happy! In general though, I'm happy we're getting something and I'm looking forward to having the DVD in my hands. I was gonna say Wembley's more likely since it was their biggest ever show. But then the South American shows were really special and they haven't included anything from any of them, so I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. They could've bloody told us which one of the 4 shows it is! It would've been so awesome if they included 'I Was There'. If they kept the standard set list but included 'I Was There' I would've been content. It'd be such a bargain!
Fanny. Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm pretty sure that they'd make the tracks available for individual purchase. They've got to realise people will buy the actual CD/DVD, surely? and I'm doubtful we'll ever get to hear Quebec City again Yeah I hope so But I remember when 21st Century Breakdown came out, the deluxe edition on iTunes had four bonus tracks. Two of them were only available if you preordered the album and you can't buy them anymore. I just hope it's not the case for AAF. I know I'll keep hoping though (:
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 On a side not, I wonder why the AAF page on Amazon still says "No image available." Maybe they're still working on that cover everyone was discussing earlier.
Sanity Loan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Now we wait until Amazon posts previews of each track
