alaniluau Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 DETROIT MADE THE CUT!!!! J.A.R.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SHAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was it an especially awesome performance? JAR is one of my very top songs.
Clockwise Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I think I might be the only one happy about the DVD tracklist, haha. I think it's awesome!!!
Sanity Loan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I think I might be the only one happy about the DVD tracklist, haha. I think it's awesome!!! No you're not. I like it as well. Some people are being grumpy pants
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Holy shit that is an awesome tracklist. American Eulogy!!! And I'm not the least bit upset that Pasalacqua and Letterbomb came from Chula... :-D me either that was a good show.
lastnightonGDA Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Chula Vista got Going to pasalacqua and Letterbomb!!!!! I honestly think Denver should've gotten Cigarettes and Valentines because they 'debuted' it there....
BuckBuckBuckles Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Super fuckin' psyched! Love the tracklist for the CD, though the lack of the amazing acoustic version of Whatsername they were doing is kinda disheartening :/ But I think it's a great mix nonetheless.
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Chula Vista got Going to pasalacqua and Letterbomb!!!!! I honestly think Denver should've gotten Cigarettes and Valentines because they 'debuted' it there.... Thats exactly my thought on C&V and I was expecting it to come from there
lastnightonGDA Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I wonder if any of the intros will be included....? That would give it a real 'live' feel.
Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I watched a youtube video of 21st Century Breakdown at Wembley a few hours ago. Spooky! Should be fun listening to that and reliving the insanity of it in my mind. Other than that not too fussed about listening to (as opposed to watching video of) most of the songs on the CD, except Viva La Gloria. Gonna love listening to that
Chris P FaFu Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Was it an especially awesome performance? JAR is one of my very top songs. YES .. YES IT WAS!! I HOPE THE MEDLEY FOLLOWING IS INCLUDED!! GD SAVED ME 18 YRS AGO.. I WAS THERE.. MEANS ALOT!
luvgirlcl Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Dai was saying (and I agree) that there's plenty of songs on the DVD that are kind of unnecessary, like Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams (which I personally think is a fucking boring song, even live) and Jesus of Suburbia. Those are all great songs and whatnot, but we have them on Bullet in a Bible. I doubt they've changed much, and even if they have, why not use that space for other songs we haven't seen live before. It seems like Green Day didn't actually have much say in the choosing of tracks from the DVD. It seems like it's been geared to appeal to the masses, rather than the hardcore fans. Except for BOBD, I agree. But I think that the guys had more say in this that we think, because if it was really just 'geared to appeal to the masses', we'd have Longview and Basket Case in there, the latter being the song that people usually say when you name Green Day. Sadly, selling to the masses is what record companies have to do nowadays to survive and keep things afloat, but let's not underestimate the guys, I just can't imagine them standing down against the record company about choosing the tracklist for this, they probably put up a fight for the 'rares' or 'oldies'.
Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 No you're not. I like it as well. Some people are being grumpy pants I like what's on it. It's what's not on it that makes me grumpy
pasalaska Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 now that I've had a moment to calm down, I wanna say FUCK YES GOING TO PASALACQUA, especially because it's from Chula. my favourite song and I am surprised by C&V from Phoenix, seeing as Billie said that Irvine was the best version they had played (so far) aaaaand while I'm a bit bummed that the only Aussie show was from Brisbane (one of the shows I didnt go to), I'm happy for them right now, because it's the best news Brisbane is going to have for a while, with the massive floods going through there. my biggest disappointment is the lack of 1000 Hours, but I was expecting that Just a shame there wasn't anything from Prague or Quebec City, because those were the best 2 shows of the tour.
norcalgreendayfan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I like what's on it. It's what's not on it that makes me grumpy What did you want on it thats not

EvanAsFuck Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 my biggest disappointment is the lack of 1000 Hours, but I was expecting that I totally forgot about that! Damn that woulda been such an amazing pick... That and/or 80, 86, Brat, or Homecoming all from Quebec City! I still really badly wanna hear that Homecoming performance...
