Robin105 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 The excited and dissapointed with the setlist. I like how there's a lot of old stuff but some of my favorites are not on there. St. Jimmy, Brain Stew/Jaded, Basket Case. Still going to be a great CD/DVD though
hoashell Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I want to know what show 21st Century Breakdown is from. I'm hoping it's from Wembley Stadium but it could also be from one of the shows last year. It would be good if it said the venue or even the year next to the city.
EvanAsFuck Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 FUCK YES WHO WROTE HOLDEN CAULFIELD FROM HOLMDEL Who Wrote Holden Caulfield is from NYC on the CD... (which I happened to be at!)

I'm hoping it's from Wembley Stadium but it could also be from one of the shows last year. It would be good if it said the venue or even the year next to the city. I'm pretty sure all the songs are from the 2010 tour.
EvanAsFuck Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 The CD / Blu-Ray edition is here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004IE0G58?ie=UTF8&tag=thegredayaut-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B004IE0G58 I'll probably get that. Oh alright thanks!! Somehow I didn't see that before...
Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yeah. Maybe they want to keep that stuff for people who actually go to shows? I don't know. I would've liked for it to been on there, especially with the time(s) the whole band went through the "I Want You To Know" part, with all its hilarity. Ahh! And the fabulous array of outfits . And if they had to cut King For A Day, couldn't they have thrown in Dominated Love Slave to make up for it? Actually forget that, there's just no way King For A Day shouldn't be there. It's ridiculous and I can't get over it
Prisca Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 It just seems like they really pushed the boat out for KFAD (and Shout) with this tour, adding new stuff and making it bigger and bigger and more over the top. They worked on it and improved it more than any other song, it was a huge highlight of every show. As usual with anything 'promotional' that Green Day release, the fun, silly and quirky elements of the band (in this case King For A Day, getting someone to sing Longview, and Hitchin A Ride) get cut out or downplayed, leaving them portrayed as less fun and more serious than they really are. It's always puzzled me that they're marketed in this way, I don't understand it. Well said Hermione!
jose armstrong Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 dang. I was right about King for a day though putting the same act in the live dvd's would've made that performance lose the charm. I shall now look for the setlist and probably bitch cause I can predict it will be awful.
EvanAsFuck Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm pretty sure all the songs are from the 2010 tour. 10. Holden Caulfield - (New York, New York) 13. She - (Brisbane, Australia - December 8th 2009) ^^Those are both 2009!
Prisca Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 The excited and dissapointed with the setlist. I like how there's a lot of old stuff but some of my favorites are not on there. St. Jimmy, Brain Stew/Jaded, Basket Case. Still going to be a great CD/DVD though Dude, I see your point of view but to me I'm kind of glad they didn't include those 'cause they ALWAYS usually do. Why not try something new like Gloria or Burnout ya know? I think I'm ok with it--you have Bullet In A Bible to see those tracks.
AndrewW91 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 CD Those are both 2009! Oh! Haha. Just kidding then.
Robin105 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Who Wrote Holden Caulfield is from NYC on the CD... (which I happened to be at!) Me too! Glad at least 1 show I was at is on there Dude, I see your point of view but to me I'm kind of glad they didn't include those 'cause they ALWAYS usually do. Why not try something new like Gloria or Burnout ya know? I think I'm ok with it--you have Bullet In A Bible to see those tracks. Yeah that's true. Still going to be a great CD/DVD though. Already preordered it. Just have to get the bonus tracks after it's released.
Velocity Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Who Wrote Holden Caulfield is from NYC on the CD... (which I happened to be at!) Yeah, i realized that soon after i posted it...but at least I was at that show too, haha
Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Dude, I see your point of view but to me I'm kind of glad they didn't include those 'cause they ALWAYS usually do. Why not try something new like Gloria or Burnout ya know? I think I'm ok with it--you have Bullet In A Bible to see those tracks. Yeah I've gotta say I do LOVE some of the rarer songs they've replaced some of the standard songs with. I just wish they'd replaced different standard songs! Seriously who'd be complaining if Know Your Enemy was cut instead of St Jimmy?
jose armstrong Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 okay, I have mixed feelings about the list. Christie Road is a big one for me, probably the one I'm most excited about.
AndrewW91 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Ahh! And the fabulous array of outfits . And if they had to cut King For A Day, couldn't they have thrown in Dominated Love Slave to make up for it? Actually forget that, there's just no way King For A Day shouldn't be there. It's ridiculous and I can't get over it Yeah. We'll just have to stick to BIAB or Youtube videos I guess.
captain peroxide Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Seriously though, they play a three hour show. 16 songs on the DVD? That's what, an hour and a half? Why cut out half the show, I don't understand it at all.
EvanAsFuck Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Seriously who'd be complaining if Know Your Enemy was cut instead of St Jimmy? I would! I love that song live since it has so much energy... And look at it in the Trailer! It's amazing... And we've got BIAB for St. Jimmy, and they haven't really changed anything in it since then so I think it's a good choice!
AndrewW91 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Seriously though, they play a three hour show. 16 songs on the DVD? That's what, an hour and a half? Why cut out half the show, I don't understand it at all. There still might be backstage footage like BIAB. If that were the case, I could understand having to cut it down. Seriously who'd be complaining if Know Your Enemy was cut instead of St Jimmy? Thats a tough one. I love them both.
EvanAsFuck Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 There's gotta be some backstage stuff on there! I don't think they'd leave that out...
Mar Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 The CD track list is pretty awesome. But the DVD? It's more basic than the glass of milk I'm about to drink.
alaniluau Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Ahh! And the fabulous array of outfits . And if they had to cut King For A Day, couldn't they have thrown in Dominated Love Slave to make up for it? Actually forget that, there's just no way King For A Day shouldn't be there. It's ridiculous and I can't get over it I hear you, Hermione. That number shows a significant part of the boys that deserves to be seen.
Sarabeth Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I kinda expected King For A Day to be on there too because it's all about the live show right? And the whole thing they do during that song is one of the many reasons they kick ass live.
