Nickofsuburbia Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Or anyone who isn't enjoying the thread could take a break from it and leave those that are to enjoy discussing the upcoming album unfortunately the chances of that happening? almost 0 if the thread can be re-opened then I'm for closing it/starting an official thread after the setlist is released

AndrewW91 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I don't think closing the thread would be cool. I mean, people are discussing what they think will be on the CD/DVD and what not. If people don't find that interesting, then they can go elsewhere on the forums.

Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Jesus christ if people wanna talk about Green Day's new album they should be able to do so on GDC! Annoying posts, positive posts, negative posts, thoughtful posts, silly posts - that's what you get in a thread get over it! I don't think closing the thread would be cool. I mean, people are discussing what they think will be on the CD/DVD and what not. If people don't find that interesting, then they can go elsewhere on the forums. Agreed So anyway, I personally enjoy the epic kung fu style jumps on the album cover. I feel they more than make up for the blurriness. Overall I think it's a really cool cover

Hermione Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 don't forget to add pointless speculation posts to that list Haha true I've gotta say I'm really glad the audio of this is gonna come from loads of different shows, even if there's none from the shows I went to it'll be from ones I've heard great stories from or my friends went to. I've only ever listened to the audio of BIAB like 3 or 4 times, but with this it's gonna be so much more fun and emotional to listen to it'll be a few hundred more times than that!

People will do that. But, I don't think it's a reason to close the thread. Some people do take part in conversations that just aren't the same thing over again. Regardless if it's a stupid comment or not, if we're discussing what's on the topic at hand, it's ridiculous to close the topic because some may find it stupid or annoying or whatever. thanks Jesus christ if people wanna talk about Green Day's new album they should be able to do so on GDC! XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Full Press Release - CD PLUS BONUS DVD CAPTURES EXPLOSIVE ENERGY OF BAND’S WORLD TOUR IN SUPPORT OF GRAMMY® AWARD-WINNING ALBUM 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN January 12, 2011 — Burbank, CA — Multi-platinum rock band Green Day will release a brand-new live album, entitled Awesome As Fuck, on March 22nd, 2011, on Reprise Records. The set, which includes a CD plus bonus DVD, features explosive performances captured during the band’s 2009-2010 World Tour in support of their Grammy® Award-winning album 21st Century Breakdown. Green Day recorded every show on the 21st Century Breakdown tour. When it concluded, the band members, singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool, sifted through the audio to deliver the best performances from their shows around the world. An iTunes Exclusive edition of the audio portion will feature two bonus tracks. The footage on the bonus DVD was shot at the band’s show in Tokyo, Japan. The package includes Green Day’s biggest hits and fan favorites, including “21 Guns,” “American Idiot,” “When I Come Around,” and “Good Riddance.” See below for full track-listing. Critics raved about the 21st Century Breakdown tour, which launched in North America in July of 2009. “As if releasing a wave of energy that had been building up during their four-year hiatus from touring, Green Day poured all their heart and soul into a powerhouse set,” said Rolling Stone, while Spin noted that “the band's relationship with its audience is disarmingly real.” Released by Reprise Records on May 15th, 2009, 21st Century Breakdown debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, won a 2009 Grammy Award for “Best Rock Album,” and has sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwide. It has spawned the hit singles “Know Your Enemy,” which has been certified gold, and the platinum-selling “21 Guns,” whose video won three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, including “Best Rock Video.” The track-listing for Awesome As Fuck is as follows: CD 1. 21st Century Breakdown - (London, England) 2.
