sara_gd Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 It's just different, it's like getting the lyrics and the chords and improvising. I don't know whether I like it or not... Last year they did a cover of WMUWSE in a spanish show similar to X Factor: They also did BOBD, (and it was hoooorrible ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coXgeRNpBiI&feature=related

I didn't bother to watch more than 24 seconds. and omg BOBD. that's just .... I'm laughing out loud here. That's just hilarious. he also needs to learn the lyrics, for god's sake.
The Platypus! Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Seriously, some of the utter crap that's got through when she hasn't! Some of the people who've got through can barely sing in tune. The X Factor has become so ridiculous I can't stand it any more. I know there was that black guy I can't remember his name in the first auditions he was really good and then he had to come back later and sing again I mean what the hell? I've stopped watching it now because it just frustrates me so much, and I never listen to any of the acts music ( except Jedward ) .
Katarina. Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I don't like how she sang the song, but it wasn't that bad. I always wonder if people actually sing Green Day songs at shows like x Factor, since I never see anyone doing that on tv. I think I might do that if I ever participated. Which I will never do.. Lol.
Battis Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I had a rant about this on tumblr. The last thing I want is for an x factor contestant to sing a Green Day song, especially Wake Me up When September Ends. The x factor is killing the music industry to start with, and WMUWSE is the last song that deserves to have diva-like "hoooooooooo"'s added to it at every chance. Do they even know what the song is about?!
Smoothed Out Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Ah you beat me to it, my grandma literally just rang me to tell me She definitely made it her own performance, quite nice
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 You think this is bad ? Someone once skated to it on Dancing On Ice. Good Riddance had an outing on that as well, I couldn't speak for about half an hour.

Good Riddance had an outing on that as well, I couldn't speak for about half an hour. I wish I'd seen that! I don't know what the problem is with this, really. It's no more different/warble-y than the way the girls in the AI musical cast sing Green Day songs.
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I wish I'd seen that! I don't know what the problem is with this, really. It's no more different/warble-y than the way the girls in the AI musical cast sing Green Day songs. It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. Philip Schofield and Green Day don't really go. People are free to sing what they want on X-Factor and most people do it in a warble-tastic fashion, so it might be crap but it's not really a surprise. And with the best will in the world, the arrangements on the musical aren't exactly subtle.
Anja Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Her voice is really nice but she turned the song into a whole new song (which isn't bad because I like when people do that - sometimes - and give it their own attitude) but in this case I didn't like it that much.

Smbcf Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I think she has quite a pretty voice really Like someone else said, it's no different to the girls from AI really.
Maura99 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Umm... she had a good voice, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about this. There was absolutely no emotion in it at all. Way to ruin WMUWSE. Btw, what is up with those judges? I assume they are judges... Did I spotted Kanye West there? Who gave Kanye West the right to judge other people's singing? That woman annoys me especially, with her fake smile/face, jeez. Get a grip.
Holly Ann Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I saw it on repeat earlier today (I was on GDC when the original was on ) and I liked it. I love how she did her own version and she could sing. I hate x factor though so0o0o
Rosie May Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Her voice was good and I liked the start of it, but then she kept singng "wake me up!" over and over

Isabel Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Dammit! I love the X Factor but I missed this episode!
maz17 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Someone correct me if im wrong but I think the judges picked the song they sang at the houses... or I heard that somewhere but im not sure.....
Bubbles. Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Okay, well... She tried to make the song her own... But I don't think it went to well, and it's not that she was bad at singing that song (or bad at singing in general) ... I personally just didn't like it.
Redundant86 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I'm not a fan of X Factor either, and wasn't too keen on her version. Good choice of song, though.
