That's so cool that you actually found it, I wouldn't have minded getting that myself when NME had it =/

It's got one epic tracklisting too, but why mcr?

Yeah, I got this with NME whenever it was.

What a bizarre poll  Why does it matter if MCR are on there? I'm sure it was Green Day that were meant to have chose the setlist. It came with an article about why they chose each song or something I think, I'll see if I can find it out.

I might be wrong cause it was a long time ago now, but I'm sure that was the idea of the album.

You're right, I'm sure I've seen a scan of the magazine where Green Day picked each song on there and said why.

It's not surprising they picked MCR since MCR was their support act at the time. The pole does amuse me though

I just found my magazine but I stupidly cut up all the page and I can't read all the explanations about each track. Stupid twelve year old me.

I would've scanned it in, but there is now only a quarter of a page left in there :pinch:

They were definitely meant to have been chosen by Green Day though, the sticker on the CD says 'punk anthems chosen by Green Day' and the bits I can read in the magazine are like, Billie's explanation for each track being on there.

can anyone post a scan of the Green Day picking these songs? much appreciated!!

I've got it. its a great compilation! Tracks picked by Green Day themselves and that. Best compilation i've ever seen come with a magazine

I love Alkaline Trio. I'm glad Green Day do too.

I think it was on the articles page of GDA, but I just went to look and the articles page seems to have disappeared =/

I got it... still one of the best CDs I own, surprisingly enough!

I'll upload the scans for you... just bear with me...

Well, they did pick a kick ass MCR song, so I give them that.

That actually looks like a great mix. Damn my local area for not carrying NME.
