steelthorne Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 *sigh* as much as i cant quite afford to go, I really should. I don't think i'd be able to afford a place to stay but fuck it i slept on the street to see Green Day stuff before I could do it again right?I wish could afford to go by train too but its like a hundred bucks. So fast and comfy tho
djrossstar Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Just in time for the 10 year anniversary of Warning on Oct 3. BJA should perform the entire record acoustic after the musical!
steelthorne Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 also they have trains leaving new york to go back to baltimore like that night whereas by bus im gonna have to stay up all night and wait til like 7 am...
*withoutadoubt* Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 anyway, it's another goal for him, something to achieve, maybe he wants to try and see if it works. I wish him luck I agree! Another notch scratched on his belt! Can't wait!!!
steelthorne Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I still don't get how BJ is gonna do all the dancing and stuff. It doesn't really make sense i mean he's good at Green Day but he can't sing like they do in the musical and I doubt he can do all the moves well. I worry this is gonna be like epic fail...
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I agree! Another notch scratched on his belt! Can't wait!!! future just ain't what it used to be...
bollard_11 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 The question is, will he shave half of his head as that is what the role requires :
steelthorne Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 The question is, will he shave half of his head as that is what the role requires : omg that would be fucking awesome he needs to do that shiz!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Haha, that reminds me of that photoshopped picture from some '05 award show where he has like, part of his hair shaved off as well.
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I still don't get how BJ is gonna do all the dancing and stuff. I can't imagine how this is going to go down, but I can't picture Billie failing at it. I'm fucking ecstatic at the prospect of seeing it on Thursday.
*withoutadoubt* Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I still don't think the success of the St J role is whether he shaves his head or whatever (god no-angels will cry!! lol) - it's a state of mind, and I think he's already done it to some extent a million times. This is just a different stage, and he has to make it last for 90 minutes.
steelthorne Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Haha, that reminds me of that photoshopped picture from some '05 award show where he has like, part of his hair shaved off as well. yeah the mohawk thing lol
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I can't believe this is really happening...
Prisca Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 yeah the mohawk thing lol i'm so curious to see him go all out now
lexnyc Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Ok seriously at this rate I'm gonna go bankrupt bc of Billie Joe lol
steelthorne Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 i'm so curious to see him go all out now I doubt hell do it but theres always hope i'm still not really sure if I can go
PeaceMucker Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Honestly Billie won't be able to sing Tony's part, but they'll work it for Billie's style and I can see that being great. When Green Day performs St. Jimmy, Billie becomes St. Jimmy. He'll do beautifully. I'm so happy he's doing this. WHAT A YEAR!
stuart_and_the_ave Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Really wishing I lived in NYC or had loads of money to fly over!! I hope someone manages to record it cos I'm interested to see how it turns out. With the amount of time he's been spending in NYC recently I expect he's had time to rehearse it and I doubt he'd be doing it if he didn't feel he could do it well. AT least we only have to wait a few days to hear how it goes
blitzkriegdeb Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I feel kinda weird about this. I mean, I don't know if Billie has been thinking about being in the show for a while, but because of the fact that the show's really starting to die out, it kind of seems like a publicity stunt to get more people to see it. :/ But, again, he did write the song and therefore has the best idea of who and what St. Jimmy should be, so who knows.
BrickOfSelfControl1995 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I'm going on October 3rd at 3pm! I'M SUPER EXCITED!!! Can't wait to see St. Jimmy... or should I say... St. Billie! :}
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I'm amazed by how many people think Billie's gonna suck as St. Jimmy. Remember, he's gotten himself into that St. Jimmy space during live performances for years now. Only this time, there's some choreography for him to learn- but there's no doubt in my mind that he can learn it. I, for one, am greatly anticipating hearing that voice shout "1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4!" and see him pop out that doorway ontop of the stairs. It's gonna be one of those moments of total and complete awe.

Now you've said that... yep, that does sound pretty cool. I still have a hard time envisioning Billie as St. Jimmy, though. Like, in the complete attire and stuff. (is attire the right word?)
Undómiel Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Just got tickets for it!! AHH! JEALOUSY!!!! Why oh whyyy do I have to live in the UK? My thoughts exactly. One of my thoughts: will he have to dance? Billie doesn't strike me as a dancing sort of person... ??
manilla Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 oh, come on, he'll be amazing, you'll see. i'm pretty sure that he'll be the best St Jimmy ever. can't wait to hear about his first performance!
