Axel Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Not all of the kids are oblivious to the other albums. You can't judge them and clump them all together because of others. That's not fair to them. The only problem I have with some young fans emphasis on the word "some"
Moffie Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 emphasis on the word "some" But this person was judging all the kids based on SOME. Not all kids are oblivious. We shouldn't punish some 12-year-olds because they're 12 and other kids only know AI.
Axel Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 What are you trying to say? Out with it, dude! your post made it sound like I was saying "All Green Day fans are oblivious to Green Day's music"
Moffie Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 your post made it sound like I was saying "All Green Day fans are oblivious to Green Day's music" What? That doesn't even make sense. I wasn't talking about all GD fans; KIDS. The first time, I wasn't even quoting you or talking to you. I don't who you are. I was quoting and talking about the OP.
Nele Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 To be honest, 18+ people who think getting drunk as hell before the concerts is cool and think they are fucking funny go on my nerves a lot more than 12 year olds.
Axel Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 What? That doesn't even make sense. I wasn't talking about all GD fans; KIDS. The first time, I wasn't even quoting you. I don't who you are. I was quoting and talking about the OP. you quoted foxboro1234's post, witch quoted mine
Vespertine Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Ergh, what a stupid thread to make. What's the problem with children listening to Green Day?
Moffie Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 you quoted foxboro1234's post, witch quoted mine So?! I was talking to that person! You were putting words in my mouth and I'm not in a good mood and you really shouldn't try to fuck with me because all you're doing now is pissing me off. I wasn't saying "All Green Day fans." or assuming that you did. It almost looks like you came up with that out of thin air! I was saying KIDS, CHILDREN, PRE-PUBESCENTS.
foxboro1234 Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 Ergh, what a stupid thread to make. What's the problem with children listening to Green Day? Yeah it was a stupid idea, it has gone too far. You people don't need to get all fussed up about it for fucking out loud.
Moffie Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Yeah it was a stupid idea, it has gone too far. You people don't need to get all fussed up about it for fucking out loud. You started it...
Vespertine Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Yeah it was a stupid idea, it has gone too far. You people don't need to get all fussed up about it for fucking out loud. I mean no offense, but it was kinda rude of you to pretty much say children shouldn't be going to Green Day concerts.
28smooth Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Ergh, what a stupid thread to make. What's the problem with children listening to Green Day? This! ^^ And by the way, I don't really care who else is at the gig as long as me and my friends have a good time...
Nele Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Yeah it was a stupid idea, it has gone too far. You people don't need to get all fussed up about it for fucking out loud. Well, next time you start a thread like this think twice. It was pretty obvious that people wouldn't like it.
Axel Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 So?! I was talking to that person! You were putting words in my mouth and I'm not in a good mood and you really shouldn't try to fuck with me because all you're doing now is pissing me off. I wasn't saying "All Green Day fans." or assuming that you did. It almost looks like you came up with that out of thin air! Moffie Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 holy crap, don't get all pissy it's the internet for christ sakes Don't put words in my mouth and I won't "get all pissy."
CaesarSalad Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Yeah it was a stupid idea, it has gone too far. You people don't need to get all fussed up about it for fucking out loud. this is gdc. you asked for opinions and you got them. and calling kids out on being oblivious to older stuff isn't really fair. there are too many over-16s or over-18s or whatever who are just as out of it.
Axel Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Don't put words in my mouth and I won't "get all pissy."
EvanAsFuck Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 If they had 16+ shows then crazy fans like me wouldn't be able to go to their shows and in my case wouldn't have had the most amazing moments of their life!!
Banan Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 If a 10-year-old wants to go to a Green Day show, then let the 10-year-old go to a Green Day show. The audience is filled with people from age 3 - 60. And their lyrics and live performances isn't exactly Hannah Montana either, just to point that out ..
TheSaltOfTheEarth Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I just don't understand why you think people under 16 are less entitled to go see Green Day or listen to Green Day. It pisses me off when people just assume 12-13 year old Green Day fans only like American Idiot or aren't REAL fans just because they're young or haven't like them for that long. Like, really? You can't judge people just by their age. Kids are banned from enough things as it is.

When I was 12, I was obsessed with Going To Pasalaqua, and the only Green Day albums I owned that I didn't download illegally from the internet were Dookie and Bullet In A Bible (+ a ripped copy of American Idiot) so I loved their first stuff just as much as their newer albums, so you can't judge a person just because he/she's under 16. Thats just fucked up.
Slappy. Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Personally it doesnt affect me who else is at the show, when I'm in that arena, I'm looking at my 3 idols on stage, and listening to the songs that I love. Not thinking oh wow these kids are pissing me off. And to be perfectly honest, the shows i've been to, I've barely seen people under teen age.
pasalaska Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 The only problem I have with some young fans are the ones that are oblivious to Green Day's music. And how much they have produced. Example: Not knowing any of their music before American Idiot, Or Dookie,) this applies to any new Green Day fan, irrespective of age. I think people just see it in the younger fans more because it's what they expect to see.
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 You guys wanna know what needs to change? Billie needs to go black hair again. And bring back naked billie for she. Whoever said under 16 kids shouldn't go to the shows.... F off. I'm 14 and I've been a fan for 7 years. Mo difference as for a fan that's 21 that's been a dan for 7 years.
pasalaska Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 You guys wanna know what needs to change? Billie needs to go black hair again. And bring back naked billie for she. I'm a fan of NOT seeing a near-40 year old man naked on stage. but hey, that's just me.
