Opezi Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I wish I lived in NYC i wish i lived in Oakland.
sundaymorning6am Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 i wish i lived in Oakland. I don't think you do. My friend who's from SF and lives in NYC now said living in Oakland is like living on Staten Island. (Sorry, no offense Toni Ann!)
FiaKels Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Idk about the other days but Fridays talkback was a fucking joke. The questions went from "can I have a hug?" to "my girlfriend loves you" to "you're the reason i'm in a punk band" to "its my birthday will you say happy birthday?" I'm pretty sure the only real question was a girl who asked how Stark does the fake leg thing (thank god for her). Worst part is I had a legit question for the cast that Billie Joe wouldve laughed at but I didnt get to ask it in the midst of all these baffoons. This. Me too. It's at this point where I feel really bad for Billie. He never gets a moment's peace. but he handled it remarkably well in my opinion
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 This. I live in California though which is better. I don't think you do. My friend who's from SF and lives in NYC now said living in Oakland is like living on Staten Island. (Sorry, no offense Toni Ann!) Don't. Diss. California. Ever. Again. NO part of California is like new York. New York smells like a rat hole. No offence to anyone there.

He never gets a moment's peace. but he handled it remarkably well in my opinion Yes, he definitely handled it well. I think it's cute that people ask for hugs. As much as they want real questions, I'm sure they never get sick of the love from the fans. Luckily for the rejected fans (hahaha), everyone seemed to be pretty cool about it and having fun. I would have been really embarrassed if I had asked for a hug and not gotten one. xD On the other hand.....I would never turn down the opportunity to actually ask them a decent question. I live in California though which is better. Don't. Diss. California. Ever. Again. NO part of California is like new York. New York smells like a rat hole. No offence to anyone there. Agreed. If the musical and the John Lennon memorial hadn't been in NYC, I would have hated the trip. And California is gorgeous. San Diego is my favorite place in the world.

clairemarie Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 theres a link to the full audio in the american idiot musical thread :b he calls a guy from the previous night a cunt! Haha! I just listened to it and that part was hilarious! Though I laughed even harder when he was singing about ideas in the melody of Happy Birthday. "How do I come up with new ideas? It's really fucking difficult. I drive myself up the wall.."
Joy of suburbia. Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 The talkback was a-fucking-mazing. That is all.

Velocity Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 fjkijdsfkcvxnm I got my AWESOME AS FUCK sign autographed today You guys should have seen Joy and I trying to get to the stage after the talkback. We were literally climbing and jumping over the seats at the theatre. If it were any show other than this that would NOT have happened.

Climbing on those chairs took strategy. If you didn't do it the right way, you were gonna bust your ass.

I saw a group of you taking a picture outside the theatre after the Billie Joe mob left. and I met someone on the bus ride back to Boston tonight.
GDM Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I took a couple of little tweet photos from the talkback: Hello Billie Joe, you are so close! With PBR cans Full interveiw crew
jenne! Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 My row was mostly empty down by the stage but as soon as the show ended, suddenly there were 12 extra people in a row of 8 seats. what a treat to hear BJA, MM and everyone else talk about the show! i was pretty emo, the show really kicked my ass, and i enjoyed the talk - especially the story about the veterans, and how they found the dialog used in the show. afterwards we went to have some dinner and lo and behold, Jesus of Suburbia himself is a few tables away. we let him enjoy his meal and just thought it was really cool that he was in our favorite diner.
Guest Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 i wish i lived in new york...or at least had the money to go there i would have loved to go to this.
Juliette Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Are there any decent videos from the latest one ?
Bastard of 1967 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I took a couple of little tweet photos from the talkback: Hello Billie Joe, you are so close! With PBR cans Full interveiw crew What else can I say other than AWESOME AS FUCK?? I SO wish I could have gone to one of these.....just getting to see the show during opening week last April was a treat as it was, and after that I couldn't bring myself to ask the wife to let me leave her alone with our three-year-old for yet another night relating to the show. So, so happy y'all had such an awesome experience tho, and I wish I could have joined you!
GDM Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Ugh, I didn't upload my favorite. Let me see if I can...
Moffie Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Tanya, are you guys holding PBR cans? I'm still trying to figure out why he had them.
GDM Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Tanya, are you guys holding PBR cans? I'm still trying to figure out why he had them. I'm not; it's Toniann and her crew. They drank a case of them the night before and brought them to AI to get Billie to sign them. He admonished them for not bringing him a cold, unopened, one.
