Velocity Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I KNOW, I'm thinking "how could Sunday possibly top this?!" Like, what could be more epic than meeting Billie and Larry Livermore in one day? Only time will tell.

Like, what could be more epic than meeting Billie and Larry Livermore in one day? Only time will tell. Oh man...idk. We'll have to see and find out. We're still meeting at Penn Station?
Velocity Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Oh man...idk. We'll have to see and find out. We're still meeting at Penn Station? Yeah, I need to look at the train schedule and see what time I should get to Penn.
Joy of suburbia. Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Yeah, I need to look at the train schedule and see what time I should get to Penn. Cool. I'm trying to find the train schedule as well. My dad said I should take the train that leaves around one-ish. That sounds pretty good.
woven_basketcase Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I'm so excited for Sunday's show, I can barely contain myself. asdfgh :3 @Lauren, that was amazing. pwned.
dawn71 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 This is probably a dumb question but, what is so special about Sunday? I haven't been on GDC in a few days... what did I miss?
Velocity Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 This is probably a dumb question but, what is so special about Sunday? I haven't been on GDC in a few days... what did I miss? There's going to be an interview in NYC with Billie Joe and Michael Mayer. That, plus all this week at the AI musical they're holding after show "talkbacks" with BJ, Michael Mayer, and some of the cast members. So a lot of GDCers figure we'll all go to the matinee of the musical and then the interview that evening.

lawrahday Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Shitttt, the talkback tonight was amazing. Lauren got to ask Billie her question! She asked him why he decided to do the musical when in '04 he seemed so against it. He was like "oh Michael Mayer came to me and asked if he could do it etc" (which doesn't REALLY answer the question but w/e) and then said the audience was almost as loud as her tie dye shirt. Or something like that. omg i'm so glad someone finally asked him that
sundaymorning6am Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Here are videos, first of the regular Q&A and then of the audience Q&A, the entire thing: Q&A with David Cote: Now the Audience Q's: I hope it's all spliced correctly. I had to do it manually on FlipShare. Gah, let me know if there's anything fucked up with the splicing. Enjoy!
lawrahday Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 thank you so much! these videos are great!

ifmemoryserves Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 thanks for all the videos and links posted! That's awesome =D love Billie's face when he heard the question could someone transcript it though, I can only understand the beginning of your question and the end of Billie's answer... It's like Lauren: They asked about having an American Idiot Musical, and you said it would never happen, over your dead body. I have a recording of it on my phone, if you want to hear it. Billie: ... Is it gonna be as loud as that tie-dye shirt you're wearing?
GDM Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Most of the questions were lame last night, all happy birthdays and hugs, but Lauren's question was just great!
stuart_and_the_ave Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 hahaha I loved his reaction to Lauren's question. and I liked his answer to what his inspiration for writing American Idiot was in this video that sundaymorning6am posted
