Fuck...I'm so excited for Sunday! :woot:

I need to think of a good question to ask.

Hmm...whatever should I ask?

Why is one of the characters named 'Tunny?'

I remember Stark mentioned asking Billie/Michael that but he didn't really say the reason why.

Ask about the Tubbies!!! (Are they planing to do a real tour again? Are they planing to release more material?)

About HLAHG, is it true that they're really planing to release it next year?

hmmm... yes, Sanne is right, people who don't have original/cool questions in mind should totally check out the Lollapalooza questions thread!

What their favourite colour is and whether they prefer plain socks or socks with patterns.

[/first thing that popper in mind and it's lame]

maybe you could check out that thread from the guy who said he'd interview the guys at Lollapalooza, there's some pretty good questions in there (I can't remember any atm, though).

although that's mostly really Green Day questions, not really anything to do with the musical.

HA. But thanks, I will check out that thread.

Oh, maybe I can tie in the anniversary of American Idiot and how they feel about that and something, something, something.

That sounds pretty good, I think.

as for that one, I think John knows much more about that, I doubt Billie's in on the details of that. Or is allowed to just go about and say things. (:

This is what he said

On Wednesday

"At last nights Q&A, a fan asked Billie Joe if he'd ever consider doing 'album dedicated' concerts. Billie said he thought it would be cool to play 'Kerplunk' front to back. He also said that he was a "cheap date" and that he would play pretty much anything anywhere!"

I'd LOVE that. And so.. Billie thinks he's a cheap date, right? Well let's see on the next tour then, we could request anything we'd like! xD

I think GD should know about it too..

It would be a bit weird if they didn't..

I'm not saying they don't know, but I don't think they know details of when it will be released or something, or nothing they'll tell. I'm pretty sure they don't know more than John does, and I also highly doubt they'll say anything more about it than John does (since it's his movie and all). Of course you could try to ask it, though, like whether it's true the band doesn't want it out yet/at this moment.

Do the questions actually have to be musical-related? The first thing that popped into my head was if the Tubbies are going to tour again at any point and if we'll hear a studio version of Fuck Time :D

But they can tell us if they want it released... Since they told they didn't want it out before

I really hope someone asks that!!! For real!

Never said they couldn't say that, haha. When/where did they? I only heard it from Jimmy that they said so...

Although they've been kind of dancing around the subject the few times it was mentioned.

Oh well. :)

Yeah, that's my only source too.. But would really like to know if they changed their mind XD

It's my understanding that in the Q&A so far, only a very few audience members are chosen to ask questions. Keep your fingers crossed that it's you. :) (Most of the questions are asked by the moderator dude).

Also, that question about Fuck Time could be considered slightly musical-related. After all, it was written after BJ saw how the cast preps for the curtain opening each night - hands in the middle and yelling "It's fuck time!"

Exactly. It's totally musical related!

True that... hmm. Maybe I'll try and ask about that tonight!

I wrote a teeny bit about this on my blog, and I just put a longer response about two questions asked on Tuesday and Wednesday in the American Idiot theatrical thread. If you want to read my blog (which has a couple of bad photos), the link is here.

Sorry, to butt in like this, but I'm going to both the musical matinee (and the talkback afterwards) and the 92Y lecture on Sunday, and I was wondering if it was at all possible if the whole band would be there, or if anyone had already seen them at the musical. You know, since it's the last one and everything, I figured they all might go. Just merely curious. :)

Are you pretty much free to ask whatever you want then? (Providing you get picked of course) Billie Joe might want to give you a slap for asking that.

Have a great time tonight :)

No, my question would be: "My question regards the FBHT song, "It's Fuck Time," which I understand was written as a response to a chant that the cast does before the show. But what came first... the chant or the song." Or something like that.

Anybody want to hone it? I would never ask for an FBHT show... I would ask for a Pinhead Gunpowder show since Cometbus lives in NYC. Lol. (Just kidding, I wouldn't ask either...)

Oh, and yes, you are pretty much free to ask anything you want, but truthfully, as a matter of politeness, it should be about the show moreso than the band, I guess.

could someone ask billie why back in 05 he said there would be no musical 'over my dead body' and what changed his mind? he seemed so against it back then

That's a good question.

Ooh that's a brilliant question! I'd love to see what he'd say to that.

thanks :) i was just listening to that interview the other and he really seemed to hate the idea and dislike broadway/musical stuff and now BAM he has his own musical.

i can imagine him cringing and being a bit ashamed of himself :shifty:

someone put him on the spot!

Where are all the YouTube videos from these talkbacks?! :runaround: I am dying to listen in myself!

I'm going tomorrow, Friday September 17th. Is anyone else going? I'd really like to meet more GDC'rs!

What exactly did he say about the musical back then? What interview was it?
