Holly Ann Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 No. Not Good Riddance. Please no. They've been using that as the closer for about 10 years right? I don't think they'd change it. It'd be great if they could 'permanently' swap an overplayed AI song for an old song which would be much more appreciated. Something like BOBD? Idek.
LouLou Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Which show did you attend? Because She gets played every time... Well, they must be so sick of playing songs like Basket Case but they just can't drop them. These are the songs the majority wants to hear but it's Green Day, you never know... I may be wrong. I think one of the shows I went to last year didn't have it cause I remember when I did hear it I was really excited. The shows are kinda a blur, so maybe I was just plain excited, which is most likely what happened. lol
st.idiot Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 to be honest i doubt it but still you never know. i think they'd deffinitley keep minority, jesus of suburbia, good riddance, king for a day, longview and basket case
Clayish Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I don't even like Basketcase live anymore, so I wouldn't mind that gone. Minority is losing its spice a bit. King For a Day and Good Riddance are the only ones that SHOULD always be there.
sampy Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I don't think they can stop playing Good Riddance or Basket Case... I mean, people would go insane if they did. But this is an interesting question, what will they do when they release more and more stuff and they can't stop playing the old songs? Will they just play for 5 hours so that they can fit everything to the setlist? (I wouldn't mind that.) I think it goes like the base of setlist is: 1. old school songs and 2. current album, pretty much like that. Old school songs are going to be there on almost every gig. Then they're going to change those newer songs. Now there's 21st Century Breakdown, KYE, EJN, Viva la Gloria, 21 Guns and stuff like that, of course they're dropping out some of those songs when the next album and tour along with that is coming out, and they're replacing them with those songs from new album. Old school songs, such as Basket Case, Good Riddance and KFAD will stay there, it have worked like that pretty long time.
