darenmay Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 it was such a wonderful performance. the absence of drums, bass, and rhythm made it more awesome. just billie and his guitar, wow.
Smbcf Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I couldn't sleep after watching it last night, it was just soooo amazing, so simple yet it was one of the most fantastic performances I've ever seen, got me thinking about my Dad and stuff.
manilla Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 i just watched it, i got tears in my eyes..
Tubbie Head Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Meh, I just don't like the whole slicked back thing. sorry for striking up a conversation about Billie's hair once again It's GDC, no more to expect XD But, yeah, just don't like it slicked back. The colour is great
Izzard Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Great performance...I think it's the best he's ever done at WMUWSE...didn't make me cry though I love the slicked back hair he was rocking! As I said in the Billie Joe pic thread I think he looked very refreshed at this event; and his hair made him almost look a bit sophisticated, well done Billie Joe!
Rachel Nimrod Armstrong Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I was in tears watchin this vid earlier but i bet it was even harder for Billie on the 28th anniversay of his fathers death but it was soo beuitifal when he was preforming it and all for a good cause
Smbcf Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I love the slicked back hair he was rocking! LOL  there's definitely a compliment in there somewhere.
Izzard Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 LOL  there's definitely a compliment in there somewhere. I honestly meant that too be a complement!!! lol I suck
Smbcf Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I honestly meant that too be a complement!!! lol I suck Lol, I know you did, it was just the way you said it was really funny
Trina Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I watched this online a bit earlier, had me in tears. Such an incredibly moving and beautiful performance. I'm so proud of him. They're showing it over here tonight and I'd like to tape his part, when abouts was it shown in the hour? Thanks
Francois Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 What a performance. Made me proud of being a Green day fan all over again. Well done, Billie Joe. That was incredible. The solo electric guitar thing was great!
Samantha Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 It was sooooooooooooo good I gotta be really petty and say his hair looks quite sexy The whole program was really great
Smoothed Out Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Wow, that was just beautiful. it was so honest and raw with emotion, I've heard Billie play it live with just a guitar before and it really proves that the song still has the same power and sense of meaning however many instruments are used in its performance. But I don't really get what he's done with his hair at all Sorry for ruining the mood after that ^
WorryRock02 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 there are just no word to describe this performance....really amazing....
The Snark Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 That was really, really beautiful. That song never fails to choke me up (both for why it was written and losing a family memeber in Sept. myself), but his voice hitching got to me the most. And I'm totally digging the Warning era look! Hope it sticks around.
Lu_S Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Billie's performance was very touching, I got chills and I almost cried. Realy beutiful. And about his hair he was in agreement with the event, sophisticated and tidy, but I still prefer his hair poofy and messy
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 double post..I don't know why...I'm sorry
Sharmellow Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I hardly ever tear up when watching a performance or whatever, but when I watched him play alone on stage, it was fucking mindblowing. The sincerity of his voice, the single guitar playing, it was beautiful. He looked so fragile up there playing by himself, but at the same time, it was even more meaningful. And I don't know if it's just me, but as he sang it, he looked a lot older with his slick hair and whatnot - not that I'm complaining or anything. Anyway, that's my favorite WMUWSE live version of the song.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 So, you can buy the audio of this on iTunes.... does anyone know what genre it's in? I've been searching iTunes andt I can't find it, but I'm not sure if it's even sold in the Dutch iTunes (probably not)... so yeah, it would be helpful if someone could tell me what genre it's in so I can check. and otherwise... hint hint? I would buy it but if I can't..
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 Just downloaded it off itunes
Ingrid Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Yeah, what about those of us who wants to buy it but can't because it's only available in the US iTunes store?
lawrahday Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 It's a definite different feel and quite emotional but I still think the most moving performance of WMUWSE is Milton Keynes. yeah i agree, milton keynes was so emotional. always tear up at that performance.
