elisa Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 September 10th ah, that's pretty soon. thanks
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I hope he performs When It's Time ( most probably wont though ) I hope for WMUWSE... I mean, the month of September, a cause that really hits home with Billie, that particular song being about his father... Perfect song to perform at this event, and by the perfect person.
Ellenkc Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 While I can see Billie doing something on his own, I don't think The Edge does that so it's most likely a group performance (unless he does do solo stuff, I don't really know)
The Platypus! Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I hope for WMUWSE... I mean, the month of September, a cause that really hits home with Billie, that particular song being about his father... Perfect song to perform at this event, and by the perfect person. Yeaah i wouldn't mind that but i really hope for When It's Time I love that song .
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Yeaah i wouldn't mind that but i really hope for When It's Time I love that song . Didn't his dad die on September 10th, though? And isn't that when this takes place? I really see Wake Me Up as being pretty appropriate for this...
Lu_S Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Thanks for posting! That's awesome!! Just Billie ... wow ... lets see what song he will perform. I'm very curious now!
The Platypus! Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Didn't his dad die on September 10th, though? And isn't that when this takes place? I really see Wake Me Up as being pretty appropriate for this... Yeaah I think so , and yeaah it would be then , now I can only see him performing WMUWSE.
jacknovella Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Yeaah I think so , and yeaah it would be then , now I can only see him performing WMUWSE. Yeah I really hope he performs WMUWSE It'll be a really significant performance because of his dads death on the same day.
RobyRoom Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm really looking forward to this performance, I'm pretty curious
champagne mami Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Aw, that's awesome. I think it'll most likely be a performance with other people. I hope it's just like of him, but I don't know. Either way though, i'm excited to see it. Thanks for posting, XxRedundantCastaway86xX! Sorry, I don't know your real name.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Aw, cool. I wonder what it's going to be like. Acoustic performance, performance with a bunch of other people, or the whole band anyway but they just listed Billie only. Either way, it's nice Didn't his dad die on September 10th, though? And isn't that when this takes place? I really see Wake Me Up as being pretty appropriate for this... That crossed my mind as well... I think his dad also died of cancer, too. (mm, kind of iffy with knowing that, since it's so personal to him and all) it would be great if he performed that
Malleus Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 This is pretty interesting. Anything acoustic would be great.
The Platypus! Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 This is pretty interesting. Anything acoustic would be great. I don't see him performing anything but acoustic because he's on his own .
Tiffx Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Ohh I'm really looking forward to this. I reckon it might be more of a group thing, performing covers or something. But if it just Billie going solo then I have no complaints.
Bastard of 1967 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Maybe Billie's going to do Wake Me Up When September Ends acoustically. Any of Green Day's ballads done acoustic, or possibly WMUWSE acoustic. He always plays them wonderfully solo during the tour stop second encores so there's no reason to believe he won't spank this performance, even without Mike and Tre backing him up. I'd love to hear him do 21 Guns acoustic for this actually, maybe with just a titch of piano backing a la Jason Freese.
susanananananaa Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Wonder in which TV channels this will air in Europe. Anyone knows?
Smbcf Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Awesome Really looking forward to seeing this.
LouLou Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I hope for WMUWSE... I mean, the month of September, a cause that really hits home with Billie, that particular song being about his father... Perfect song to perform at this event, and by the perfect person. That actually makes sense. I was thinking it was odd if it was just him by himself and really didn't like the idea, still don't, but that actually makes it make more sense. Still dont like it tho
oda Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 he is a strong man for doing this the same date his father died of cancer. I can imagine this becoming a very emotional performance.
The Snark Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Oh man, the acoustic version of WMUWSE always gets me. My papa died a few years ago from cancer (in September nonetheless), so I'll probably start bawling. It's gonna be strange without Mike and Tre there, but perhaps they'll be helping answer phones...
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm really looking forward to this performance, I'm pretty curious THIS!
sara_gd Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 It would be a good thing to know how long will this be and what else are they doing, to know if everyone of those artist will have time to perform their own thing or if its going to be something like Across the universe at the grammys... *crosses fingers* that its not 21 guns Good Riddance would be good, or LNOE This.
Tubbie Head Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 he is a strong man for doing this the same date his father died of cancer. I can imagine this becoming a very emotional performance. aww man.. didn't thought about it being the day his father died! I am thinking he will also, y'know, say some words... And is this something that will air in other tv channels? Like non American stuff? Really hope so
Tubbie Head Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Cool, there's also going to be a pre-show "Cat Deeley, host of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," will host a half-hour pre-show (7:30 p.m. EDT) available widely online at major network sites as well as other sites and portals including E! Online, Hulu and YouTube." I kind of like pre-shows/red carpet
