norcalgreendayfan Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I hope Adie went with him, cus ughh I can't imagine poor Billie in there by himself, with everything around him surrounding cancer, the very thing that took his dad away.. We're with him in spirit Yeah I'm sure Adie probably went with him. I just can't imagine him there without her on this day
ifmemoryserves Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Thanks for the video! That was a very nice/touching performance
norcalgreendayfan Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Me too. He looked like he wanted to cry and he held it in...I'm hugging him in spirit. And now I can't stop crying cause all I can do is think about my uncle who died from cancer like, 3 years ago. I'm a fucking wreck. Ohhhhh joy im really sorry I'm thinking of my aunt who died from cancer and now my dad is dealing with bladder cancer. They recently took the tumor out and said it was malignant
woahsilence Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 why did other performers talk before they played, and not billie joe?
farley drexel hatcher Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I do think he probably recorded his part while he was in LA last week. It was a nice performance, he was as dignified as I knew he would be.
Bailey. Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I want him on the phones! Ohh his performance was amazing. I hope he comes on again soon..
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I like his voice, but I don't dig this jazzed up cover of Yesterday.
Smbcf Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 why did other performers talk before they played, and not billie joe? Probably too hard for him, especially today. I know I find it hard to talk about my Dad, let alone infront of all those people and on TV.
Mari91 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 The best performance of the song I've ever seen...Now I have to go to sleep..Shit it's 3.25 am in my country must agree. it was so moving ahh im still crying!
Smbcf Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I wanna go to bed but I don't wanna miss anything
FiaKels Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 My mom had breast cancer when I was 7. This entire thing is making me mushier than I thought.
Hermione Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Probably too hard for him, especially today. I know I find it hard to talk about my Dad, let alone infront of all those people and on TV. Yeah, each person involved is contributing to the show in their own way. Some are talking and some are just performing for whatever reasons. He's done his bit for the cause by performing.
Peace and Rainbows Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Denzel!!!! *claps loudly* YESS!!!!
Moffie Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 why did other performers talk before they played, and not billie joe? He probably didn't want to. His choice and all.
Velocity Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Billie's performance was so touching. I don't know how he held himself together. I don't want to keep watching this but I can't change the channel. It's 6 months to the day today since I lost my dad to esophageal cancer and it's really emotional for me.
farley drexel hatcher Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 It looks as if tonight's performance will be available to buy on iTunes and will probably go to the cause so just watch any uploads that get posted, just in case.
Bohemian+Scandal Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 why did other performers talk before they played, and not billie joe? Billie Joe has never been the best public speaker. It would probably be even more difficult to speak at something like this. He expressed himself in the way he does best. Through song.
