Jaymee!! Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 If you were in the pit, i hope you wern't to badly hurt! Yeah I was in the pit, second from barrier And it actually wasn't bad at all, because no one seemed to know the song at all. I remember Billie talked to Sarah and Aska, then Sarah and I looked at each other when he said 'Platypus?' and we both were like And I SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMED my head off, and one guy standing next to me tapped me on the shoulder and he was like ARE YOU FOR REAL?! and he and I had this awesome little moment where we screamed the lyrics with the song while everyone was just kinda mellow about it.
Guest FlirtyDutherMucker Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I'd love to hear Emenius Sleepus live.
Hermione Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 and there were some videos from a sound check, North American tour 2009, where they played, that one and GREEN DAY Just knowing they still know and play those old songs they wrote when they were teenagers is so cool! I love it.
Jaymee!! Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I freaked pretty hard when they played Church On Sunday at the MTL sound check as well. I love that song, and it was a big coincidence because Liz and I had discussed the night before that we both wanted to hear that song live. Our wishes came true less than 24 hours later
Alan86 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Waiting Burnout Nice Guys Finish Last Geek Stink Breath loved all of these songs

Katherine Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Also, Viva La Gloria and Letterbomb. This was at Hartford when they first started throwing them in, I was like SFHKSHFSKFHSF Along with Dominated Love Slave, hearing FOD and Whatsername live was a fucking thrill. I thought I'd never hear those live EVER. Same goes with Nice Guys Finish Last. Hearing Who Wrote Holden Caulfield was great too, especially cause Davey came onstage to sing with Billie.
Fanny. Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 The big moments for me from the two shows in MTL I went to are definitly hearing JAR, 2000 Light Years Away and Words I Might Have Ate live! I was in total shock when they started to play them. And this year my big highlights are without a doubt Armatage Shanks, Paper Lanterns, Nice Guys Finish Last, Platypus, Letterbomb, FOD, the part of Disappearing boy they played and the first few lines of Chump Billie sang. Hearing Church on Sunday and Murder City during the soundcheck was pretty awesome too!
St. Banana Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Before the show I saw in december, I hadnt been reading the setlists...so when they started playing 'when i come around' I didnt realise it was pretty common, and i was excited haha, i love that song Also, Scattered was a pretty amazing moment
Pedestrian9394 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Hearing Burnout was really awesome in Alpharetta. But honestly, the most emotional song I heard that night was still Good Riddance. There's something about standing there thinking, "I can't believe I'm finally hearing this song in concert...". To me, their classics are always the best. On that note, Alpharetta didn't get any "shock" songs. At all. Period. It's kind of disappointing to see some shows getting really rare songs.
Guest Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 paper lanterns, burnout, letterbomb, and novacaine on this leg of the tour were all fucking awesome. last year in nashville blood sex and booze was amazing to hear live, and one of the times i saw them back in 2005 they played maria...i can't really remember it much but i'm glad i got to hear that song live.

Dominated Love Slave for me too! Before the show we couldn't decide whether to make a DLS sign or a Fuck Time sign, in the end we chose Fuck Time. But during the show when he asked for requests I couldn't lift the sign up in time because it was squashed between me and the crowd, oh no! But then I looked up and realized what request they'd chosen - Dominated Love Slave . It was so great. Seeing Tre sing was right up there at the top of my wishlist and I'm so glad I got to see it. take it you were at wembley too then?! I know we'll never forget the site of mike dirnt dancing "I WANT YOU TO KNOW..." best moment of my life! Hearing Burnout was really awesome in Alpharetta. But honestly, the most emotional song I heard that night was still Good Riddance. There's something about standing there thinking, "I can't believe I'm finally hearing this song in concert...". To me, their classics are always the best. On that note, Alpharetta didn't get any "shock" songs. At all. Period. It's kind of disappointing to see some shows getting really rare songs. i know,if i had it my way though, the shows would never end! and i agree it's amazing to see how much emotion he puts into those classic songs time and time again! I love how the 3 songs in this title are in my top 10 list (was lucky enough to hear Maria and Private Ale live ) I think my biggest 'shocked' reaction was when they played Maria, because I had never ever thought I would get to hear it live and I couldn't believe it was finally happening. And at the Manch soundcheck when they started playing Private Ale I just kept shaking my head saying "No, no way in hell are they playing this. It can't be...they don't play this song, ever!!" How dare you be so lucky! :pinch: The big moments for me from the two shows in MTL I went to are definitly hearing JAR, 2000 Light Years Away and Words I Might Have Ate live! Before the show I saw in december, I hadnt been reading the setlists...so when they started playing 'when i come around' I didnt realise it was pretty common, and i was excited haha, i love that song Also, Scattered was a pretty amazing moment i went in 2005 and wished they'd played when i come around, had to wait 5 years but was well worth it!
heartscollide Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 When they played No Pride, Geek Stink Breath, Burnout, My Generation, Dominated Love Slave.
Velocity Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I was shocked to hear Viva la Gloria! and Letterbomb this year. I saw them early in the tour, so I didn't know those songs were going to be regulars in the setlists. And considering VLG is my favorite song ever, it made it even more epic. And I was psyched to hear Paper Lanterns live at the shows I went to this summer because I was actually planning on requesting it, so it was like they were reading my mind. Annnndddd last year's MSG2 show had such an incredible setlist. We got Murder City, A Quick One, FOD, part of Stuart and the Ave, and Macy's Day Parade. Oh, and seeing the Foxies play It's Fuck Time for the first time wasn't too bad either. :]
Guest Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 From 2 different shows - Maria, J.A.R., Going to Pasalacqua, Who Wrote Holden Caulfield, and a line from Misery.
JadedHaushinka Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 We didn't get anything special in Helsinki but I would love to hear Platypus (I Hate You), Prosthetic Head, J.A.R, All The Time live. Anyways..I loved when they started playing When It's Time. I wasn't so sure if they were gonna play it but they did.
The Platypus! Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Well I'd most probably have to go with Burnout Waiting and Nice Guys Finsh Last ohhh and Dominated Love Slave . All at Wembley .
Mrs.Kerplunk Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 maria, going to pasalacqua, its fuck time, viva la gloria and pulling teeth i wasnt really 'surprised' just like fuck yeah!
The Disappearing Boy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 cigarettes and valentines. im also happy that paper lanterns and burnout have made their way back onto the setlist.
Leisha-LUNA Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Firstly, when they played Coming Clean in Melbourne last year. First time i experienced something really rare. Then the entire Prague show. That was the first time they REALLY mixed up the set. It was insane. And then Its Fuck Time in Mainz XD
The Platypus! Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I want them to play exraordinary girl live , am i correct that they haven't played it live once on this tour .
The Breakdown Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 When they played No Pride, Geek Stink Breath, Burnout, My Generation, Dominated Love Slave. Also Homecoming. When I heard them start playing it I was like 'Wtf is this song?' I didn't realise that they were actually playing Homecoming because I was like shocked OMG OMG for the first 30 seconds or so.
