I don't know if this happend in other cities, but in Montreal there were signs all over when entering the venue saying that by being on the premises, you allowed your image to be used, because that show could be recorded.

you see that at alot of venues. I think it's a venue thing, not a band-related sign.

Its obviously going to happen, and this is great news.

I believe that as billie said that they recorded all the shows then it will be a CD/DVD with footage from more than one concerts.Or maybe he means that they will have to pic one? =/

Well I have no idea I just hope to be followed by a DVD as well and I will be fine!

I hope you're right.

And I wish we had something to compare it to....I mean, like if we knew what the first news about Bullet in a Bible said. Because if all they did was mention that they were recording it, and then came out with a DVD, then it could be reasonable to hope for the same from the 21stCB tour. :shifty:

Hmmm, well maybe they just meant that they've been recording the North American Tour only? If they were doing just a CD, I don't know why they would record every single show. Not that I'm a professional on the subject.

I would love to see a DVD, honestly. Much more than a live CD. The little things that go on backstage, as well as the awesome things that happen ON stage make everything so much more special. Audio just doesn't do Green Day justice as far as live shows.

They have recorded/kept a copy of the soundboard audio for every show for like ages now.

They probaly keep a copy of the video for each camera for each show, and the live-mix as well...just in case for future reference or whatever. (probaly pretty cheap in comparision to other expenses...)

It made my day when I saw this Tweet pop up on my AIM Lifestream!

I practically yelled at work, 'Yes! Thank you, Billie Joe!' haha! Then my team started making fun of me, and my boss was like, "Are you ok?"

I don't think that they would freak out the fans like this if they weren't serious about releasing it! It's time for another BitB type album/DVD... It would be great if that's what it ends up being!

That is a really good idea since the last live album was released 5 years ago which is a long time. I'm hoping some Finnish performances will be included. I hope this ''possible'' changes to ''definitely'' soon.

Yeah, you're probably right. I'm sure everything gets documented to an extent. I just meant more like high-quality CD material recordings.

That would be AWESOME! :woot:

I wonder if Billie sang Longview in Hartford for such an album...

Also, imagine hearing Whatsername acoustic on an album?! Gah, I hope this happens!

live is live. taken directly from the soundboard it's as good as it's gonna get. same quality as biab or any other live releases by them :) (live in tokyo for a recent example)

we all know how epic they are live anyway :D

Not in Montreal it's not... I go to a lot of shows here... It said specificly that they could use audio, video or pictures from that show.

Haha this is true. =D Even the recording I have of the Alpharetta show on my iPod is amazing. The quality is decent, but it still almost feels like I'm there again.

I was so happy to see that tweet! I think it is a great idea!

I guess this is one of the reason they've been adding older songs to the setlists

:woot: It would be amazing if they do this live album!

I wonder how much we'll have to wait for this to come out!

This is awesome :D

I'm kinda wondering if maybe they might put tracks like "Stay the Night" or other rarities on as bonus tracks.

I was thinking this too - I guess it's a possibility, would be awesome.

stoked for this, would love a live dvd of them playing all these awesome old songs so much more tho!

Maybe that's why they made a huge deal about someone recording the songs. They wanted to save them for later. :eyebrow:

I don't how or why your know this, but I really like the idea of a soundboard recording. That would be awesome. (and hopefully they won't tweak it too much!)

You know, I really doubt they're going to do that. Pretty sure they aren't. It's an unreleased, unfinished song. And it's not like they made a huge deal out of it, they were just sad and disappointed that it was all over the internet (or well, Billie was at least, don't really know about Mike or Tre). Doesn't seem like something they'd put on a live album/dvd.

edit: that was about the Stay The Night/other unreleased stuff thing.

I am sooo buying this... :shifty::banana:

But it hasn't even been confirmed yet, nevermind a release date.

This is true. I guess with Green Day, you can never really know for sure. Personally, I never actually got a chance to listen to the songs before they got taken down anyway. So, I'd be content with waiting for them to come out on a new album.

A live album :runaround::runaround: that would be amazing

Yeah, you can never know, but I don't have the impression they want their stuff out before they think it's ready to be out or finished. :)
