BEACHBOI13 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The live album should be called the 21st Century Breakdown Tour and include all the live shows!
jtdscape Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The live album should be called the 21st Century Breakdown Tour and include all the live shows! I have heard that some bands release the soundboard audio for all of their shows. That would be epic if Green Day did that....
ganis Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 this possible live album, must be an actual album.. because right now I'm VERY excited... by posting it on twitter I do belive it will happen eventhough they only say possible... so I'll be very dissapointed if it doesn't happen..
Bubbles. Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 Seconded what Martyn and Claire said. It's called exaggeration, people. Take a pill. All that's really going on here is people being like "Oh sweet I hope they put x on it!!!!!!" Not really a discussion to be honest. It's hard to say this without sounding like a bitch, but if you don't like the discussion going on then I don't see why you're in this thread, unless you're just wanting to argue with people about it, sorry if I am getting the wrong idea but that's the impression I'm getting from your posts.
MascaraTears Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 yay! I really hope it actually happens, and that they'll put a good amount of rare songs on it... they've been so incredible live lately. well they are always incredible live of course, but these recent shows have just been beyond amazing!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The live album should be called the 21st Century Breakdown Tour and include all the live shows! The creativeness of that title baffles me. I am thoroughly impressed. although I'm definitely not protesting against releasing all the live shows...
Sarah.Scumbag Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I hope they make a DVD too! Although, that might be asking a lot. I would really love to hear the Alpharetta performance of When It's Time on this possible album. I can't get over how perfect his voice was. I can't remember if this actually happened or if I did actually read it somewhere but I think someone either told me/I read that the shows (or the Glasgow show in the least) weren't being filmed, so I don't know about the chances of a DVD. I also remember reading something probably on Tumblr about someone asking about a DVD and they said it was unlikely.

Armageddon Flame. Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The live album should be called the 21st Century Breakdown Tour and include all the live shows! Wow! I would have never thought of that name!
jtdscape Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I also remember reading something probably on Tumblr about someone asking about a DVD and they said it was unlikely. Maybe they didn't want the news to get out yet? Or maybe they weren't sure if they were doing it yet?
gdpony Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The creativeness of that title baffles me. I am thoroughly impressed. although I'm definitely not protesting against releasing all the live shows... hahaha I thought the same thing! and Im crossing my fingers for this to be like BIAB, live CD/DVD

I also remember reading something probably on Tumblr about someone asking about a DVD and they said it was unlikely. Hmmm, well maybe they just meant that they've been recording the North American Tour only? If they were doing just a CD, I don't know why they would record every single show. Not that I'm a professional on the subject. I would love to see a DVD, honestly. Much more than a live CD. The little things that go on backstage, as well as the awesome things that happen ON stage make everything so much more special. Audio just doesn't do Green Day justice as far as live shows.
GloriasInferno Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I really hope they will release a live album, they're great live! Some bands suck live, but Green Day is at least as good live as on the records! So it would be fantastic.. But we'll see if it will really happen
LetItBeHappy Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 if they do make a DVD, it must be better than BIAB. Like... I don't know, it must include the rare songs played that weren't included in BIAB
Rachel Nimrod Armstrong Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Arrgghh cant wait!!! hope there will be a dvd with it aswell like BIAB woop i'm all exited now

I don't know, it must include the rare songs played that weren't included in BIAB I'm hoping that (if this happens, and if they include live footage), that it's somewhat different from BIAB, like for example, - Live footage from different shows - Longer - More rarely played songs.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I also remember reading something probably on Tumblr about someone asking about a DVD and they said it was unlikely. Yeah, someone (I forgot who) asked Bill Schneider about a DVD, he said indeed it was unlikely because they're busy with the musical and a bunch of other stuff. I immediately thought of that when I saw this thread... but I suppose Billie tweeting this is also not something to be ignored. Maybe things have changed or something.

My guess is that things have changed or Bill didn't want to spill the beans on this one yet.

Or maybe Bill Schneider and the crew are a bunch of really sneaky guys.
sampy Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Oh man, that's amazing ! Of course I'm hoping for CD/DVD but just a live album would be greatest thing for a while !

I don't know, it must include the rare songs played that weren't included in BIAB yeah i agree, showing older/ rarer songs would make it stand out from BIAB, and they played so many great awesome rare songs this tour it would be a waste not to include them thats if they did ever do another live DVD.
pasalaska Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I'm assuming that Billie meant only the 2010 US tour, not Europe. that's a shame, because both tours were/are amazing buuuut, at least I'm pretty much guaranteed to have something from a show I was at I bet they won't include 1000 Hours or Platypus though I'd love for one of my song requests to be included.
