Well not really but I'm the only one who is a fan. My friends know a couple of songs from American Idiot and they think GD is "alright" but that's it. They know that I am a big fan of Green Day but they don't think I'm a freak.

i have one friend who likes them a lot, but she doesnt obsess over them as much as i do, and my sister loves them as much as i do, but she also doesn't stalk them on the internet as much as i do, anymore. pretty much all of my friends put up with my obsession though, and they seem to be interested when i tell them something random i know about Green Day

Some of my friends enjoy them and some love them, I've gotten all my friends to listen to them at some stage and they all liked at least one song! I do spurt out too many Green Day 'factoids' to my friends and I'm sure they dont care but It's very hard to stop!

I don't think friends/family understand how much Green Day mean to me, they think its just a silly obsession. It's okay though I know how I feel about them and thats all that matters. This site certainly makes me feel like I'm not alone!

In the middle of class, i go on GDC and my friend is like, "dude, Green Day sucks." and I just think shutup, I dont care what you say. And my group in video class did a project on Green Day and as we were finding B-Roll (footage of the band) I would ask, "do you think we should use this?" and they say, "I dont care, your the Green Day expert." and I'm just like, what the fuck? just because I'm the Green Day "expert" means I have to pick the footage? Ugh. But then everytime I see a Green Day shirt around school, I'm like YES! GREEN DAY!!!

Yeah, I'm the Green Day freak amongst my friends. I got one or two of them into Green Day, but none of them are to the level of me. I think they got tired of me talking about them all the time over the years. My enthusiasm for Green Day has been put on hold for a while now since they went back to their families after all of the touring throughout 09 and 10. It has slowly been coming back after Valentines Day (and the teaser videos) so they better watch out. My Facebook will be covered in "OMG, GREEN DAY. OMG OMG OMG" and shit like that.

my friends get kind of peeved when i randomly start signing Green Day songs because they say something and it triggers lyrics in my head. but i did get one friend to like Platypus and Ha Ha Your Dead, which is cool. They laugh at me when i get excited in school because there's someone walking around with a green day hoodie or bag on, but they have their odd obsessions so we learned to live with eachother.
