1039slappygirl Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 but if you live in cancun and green day books a show in the places were rock bands ussually book their shows in mexico (mexico city, monterrey), will you come over here for the concert? Of course. I would travel to wherever they played inside my country just to see them (L) And I'm considering the idea of going out of Mexico. I don't think I can wait other 4 years for a new tour.

netty Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I do find it odd that the 21CB era will end in South America as opposed to the United States. However, didn't they play one last secret show before announcing the end of the AI era in 2005? Maybe that will happen again... why should the tour end in the US?

poisonoak Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 i seriously hope not, but than again they been touring so much and need some rest or time to do their next project, i think they'd still play and would make tv appearances and such.
heartscollide Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 In a Brazilian interview Billie Joe says it's the last show on the tour. (Thanks to Roxy for the link) http://www.redetv.com.br/brothers/Video.aspx?131388,Confira-a-entrevista-exclusiva-com-Green-Day
Mar Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 YES! And they come to Michigan... Haha, not likely. *edit: Ooh, sorry!! Green Day= NOT Network >.< Why can't I get that through my thick skull!? xD I'll second the Michigan request!
fatherotti Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 why should the tour end in the US? um....they're an American band....they SHOULD finish in the US......but they finished the AI tour in Australia.....so its fine...just saying... Don't they usually finish in Australia though? yes they did wrap up in Australia, in December..... the secret show from the AI tour took place before hand in October at the Warfield in San Francisco... and there probably will be a secret show sometime toward the end of the 21stCB's US tour...it will most likely take place in California, most of them do...
1039slappygirl Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 if i had the money and the oportunity id probably do that too Yeah, I've been saving money to watch them since end of 2007. I think I can pay my show and flight tickets, but still, I don't have passport nor VISA, so I'd have to travel to South America. I don't even know if I'm going to do it but I'm getting kinda desperate, y'know?

Haha why SHOULD they? They do far, far more in the US than anywhere else. They can finish wherever they want.
St. Banana Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Haha why SHOULD they? They do far, far more in the US than anywhere else. They can finish wherever they want. Well said.
-Billiejoezee- Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 LAST GIG FOREVA~ EXCEPT FOR CALIFORNIA. :eyebrow:

Joee94 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I really hope they come back to England (London please) just for like 1 goodbye gig or something.
1039slappygirl Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 welcome to the club.... :/ .... hey! we should form a club :eyebrow: Good idea! How shall we call it?
jello4president Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Oh, this thread is making me sad... I so hope they come back down under... They only need to do 2 shows... it wouldn't be that far for them to come...
pasalaska Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Oh, this thread is making me sad... I so hope they come back down under... They only need to do 2 shows... it wouldn't be that far for them to come... yeah, they really arent coming back to Aus... which is a real shame - they finished the AI tour in Melbourne, I was hoping that finishing tours in Aus would become a tradition, but I guess South America deservves some GD action too. it's why I followed them to Europe and the US. Once South America was announced it was kinda like killing any hope of an Aussie tour. buuuuut, the next album is not gonna take as long as 21CB did to come out, so I guess that's one positive to hang on to.
PasalacquaBomb Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 There's a little chance they might be doing a few shows after that. I guess that would be small club gigs or so, just announced in Idiot Club or so. Something like the 21CB Promo shows last year. Would be pretty cool. And I don't think they'll tour with the Foxies. Prima Donna's currently making a new album (or is it finished yet? idk) and after that I guess they'll tour, so Kevin Preston can't tour with the Foxies in the near future. Maybe after the Prima Donna tour?
Metanoia Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 im actually having a feeling they do anoth short Australia tour after it....like 5 shows or so.
Hanner Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 last show is the day after my birthday. i should be therrrreeee
jello4president Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 im actually having a feeling they do anoth short Australia tour after it....like 5 shows or so. I hope your right...
sampy Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 im actually having a feeling they do anoth short Australia tour after it....like 5 shows or so. or maybe this time they wanna end the tour somewhere else? Just saying.
Karen. Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Unfortunately, I don't think they'll do any more touring as nothing has been announced. But perhaps they will do a show/small performance/something to promote the new live album? It probably won't be much but they definitely did stuff for BIAB. Just a (hopeful) thought as I'm not ready to say goodbye for another 2/3/4 years!!
