What's it like to be standing at a Green Day show

The bruises and scars from pushing are worth it, being up front like my friend and I were, jamming out with Mike singing word for word with him was just spectacular. There is no feeling like being that close to your idols.

In my first concert I was in the seats, well I really really enjoyed it but in my opinion there is no comparison between standing and seats, Standing is better but I probably say this because I always was in the barrier as soon as possible maybe if I have been in the 10 row I would prefer seats

Nope. Or well, at least for me it wasn't that way. In Hannover, I was pretty far in the back, I could barely see anything, but the atmosphere was awesome. In London, I was in the seats and it was okay, but not even half as great as in the pit. So even if I had to stand kinda far in the back I'd choose the pit over seats.

ahh, that sums it up nicely :) but seriously, you had blood running down your legs?! from getting kicked? was it really that bad down there? glad you still have amazing memories from that show though, I was there too and it was epic

Ahhh, well it could be one of a few things. IT could be during know your enemy when i was jumping up and down, becasue i was at the front barrier of the pit, i could have cut it against that. Or some idiot was trying to get on the barrier so was slaming all the people into each other, But i think it was in give me novacaine, billie let over right where i was standing and started sing do to me, and this other guy, so all the people pushed forwardsand were like climbing on everyone. But the concert was well worth the scars! :)

Even though you get smashed and thirsty sometimes feel like your going out of breath and going to die , there could be no better feeling in this world. i feel kind of idk free and forget all the sorrow and problems and you just look up to that stage and see this wonderful band and idk you just feel every second like its your last and you never want to stop and you cant even imagine how lucky you are to have green day in your life and im so thankful for everything they give to me and you just have (and there are no better words)

The time of your life.
