I'm hopefully going to get a good piece of mine done tomorrow. I think it'll mostly revolve around my two Green Day tattoos. Both have real stories behind them, so I hope it turns out to be interesting.

Wait, I have a question (or maybe it's very clear and my reading skills are failing)...the letters will be posted or made available to anyone and everyone? Will they be with the name attached to it or anonymous? And is there a possibility that the band will get them? (the last one is more idealistic) I'm just wondering, because some of the stuff I was going to put in the letter was kind of very personal, and I'm not sure if I want people I don't know and never met to read them...

I'll take a stab at answering this, even though Im in no way involved with the actual organization of this

from what I gather, the idea is that's it's made into an actual physical book or a downloadable online thingy, which will ideally be sent to the guys (which I'd be happy to help with, I'm sure between us all and connections and stuff it shouldn't be too hard.

Also I'm sure if you request it, your letter could be included anonymously, even if a lot of them aren't

Jeez I completely forgot it's due so soon. I had written one ages ago, but I just looked at it the other day and I don't like it at all, I'm going to re-write the whole thing. Shouldn't be too hard, I'll have it in sometime in the next few days.

My name is Christina, by the way, and i'm from Greece...

all started at the very end of 2004, when i was 11 years old and my cousin brought me some bands discographies, including yours... i got into "Green Day Discography" and i clicked at the file: Warning, 'cause i really thought it was a warning for something in that file..( stupid, i know). then i clicked the songs: Warning, Church On Sunday and Minority to be played.. that's the part where i fell in love with your music, guys.. i thought Warning was the best album i'd ever heared ('cause i have a rock n' roll mum, so i grew up into rock n' roll) but 2 months later, American Idiot came out and it blew my fucking mind !!!! i loved your music and you even more...! i was waiting 5 (!!!!!!) years 'till your next album comes out, but it was worth the patience.. and untill today, i gotta say.. i'm still in love ! you totally changed my life, and today i'm proud to introduse my self as: "The biggest Green Day fan" and as: "The Extraordinary Girl".. you helped me get through some pretty tough situations, the hardest one was death, and i don't know what i would do if it wasn't for you.. by the way, i'm a singer and my dream is to be with you on stage (let's clear it: not just for 1 concert).. i swear i can sing well !!! (lol). so guys thank you for all you've done to my life and for making me a better person, a rock girl, who all the rest girls want to be like, and a person who doesn't give a shit about other people's opinions.. i'm sure you've hear so many times from several people that they're your biggest fans.. that's the difference with me.. those people think they're your biggest fans.. i don't think i'm your biggest fan.. To people stressing over the deadline - just write something out really quickly. It doesn't take too long if you just write what you feel, how Green Day make you feel. I think its best if you don't over think it because its ...yeah, how you feel about them.

Just if/how Green Day has changed you, helped you through something, or even just how they make you happy when you wouldn't be otherwise. Anything you would want them to know about their impact on your life. It can just be a few lines, we're not looking for novels. Looking forward to reading it!

Sat down last night to re-write mine and I was surprised at how much I wanted to write. I got a page and a bit done easily. Any more and it would've just dragged on and gotten boring. I had to re-write a few times actually, I did ramble on quite a bit though in my first copy
