Four. Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011
LOOOL same, i was "technically" a "poser fan" right before the concert because i knew much more newer stuff so i had a lot of work to do i treated the concert as if it dictated my life, i was so prepared. security told me not to stand in my chair (even though i was the last row of the section,so there was no one behind me) that pissed me off.
Same. I only had AI, 21stCB and the older singles. I was in the stands for my first concert and I nearly fell on the people in front of me at numerous occasions.
mandajane Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011
you really wanna know!?! smooooooooooooooooooooke more than a chimney, get more drunk than david hasslehoff-listen to green day allllllllllllllll day and night, listen the podcast the night before and then put on your chuck taylors
this. i like to have a green day before i see green day. only seems right.
BriIsObsessed Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 After I buy my ticket, I listen to their music, watch live videos and watch interviews of green day. The day of, I listen to their most recent album and go through all my favorites and music that pumps me up. Lots of singing and headbanging!!!
even though i didn't know their entire discography, i think it was the best time for the concert because my obsessiveness was at it's peak the stands? it that like almost pit?
oda Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 i mentally prepare my mind and body so i won't have to eat, drink or pee for several hours without losing energy.
Burnout98 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I prepare by listening to live versions of Green Day on my iPod, while crying, because never get to fucking go.
Guest EDIT Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011
I prepare by listening to live versions of Green Day on my iPod, while crying, because never get to fucking go.
me too but seriously, that really is what happens
bollard_11 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I usually prepare for a show by means of a montage exactly like this, same theme music and all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y10o6V1y4g
jon18 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I am preparing to have multiple orgasms during the concert.
iLozza! Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I've only been to 2 gigs, and only one of those I was standing, but I'd suggest get plenty of sleep the night before you start queueing, so if you don't get a great night outside the venue, you won't be too sleep deprived, bring water, eat plenty (I overeat in times of anxiety so I'm always well prepared ) and have on good shoes.
pasalaska Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I have a well-rehearsed mental check-list I go through the day before/day of the concert- ticket, phone, camera, water, gatorade, food, money, sharpie, double-knot my laces. I make sure to eat around an hour or so before hand so I'm not too full, and I sip water rather than drink so I don't have to pee so much. I generally try and go to the loo an hour or two before gates open, because full bladders are highly distracting I try and sleep or at least doze during the day to save energy, especially if I haven't slept during the night when camping out, but the adrenaline usually keeps me going anyway.
veroPasalacqua Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I got much sleep before the day when I got to the show, because my trip started at 7 AM. And we arrived at 10 AM. But a day before that, I was talking to my friends where we're gonna meet and stuff. And what I'm going to wear at the show. Not much. Maybe some food and some drinks. (I prepared, because I had to wait 6 hours til the entry.)
Monica. Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Well the last one, I made a checklist beforehand with all the items to bring like water bottles to stay hydrated, camera, TICKET, money, food, etc. Last time we got papers for everyone to hold up during Good Riddance, so we had to make sure we had those with us as well. Throughout the time when I had got my ticket to the date of the show it was Green Day...all day... every day..lol to get pumped!
-Billiejoezee- Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 The night before a show I take a shower and wash my face damn good to prevent any spots on the special day. I make a playlist on my iPod with their usual setlist plus any rare songs, just to get me pumped up. Then I choose my outfit. I spend quite a while choosing my clothes. I have to wear something that looks good but feels good as well. Then I go to sleep. Making sure I put the alarm on. Then I have wonderful green day dreams. Day of the show, I wake up, get ready, pack my bag with camera, sharpie, folded paper, iPod, water, body spray, wallet, extra ponytails and any other stuff. I get wayyyy to nervous to eat. I seriously don't eat anything. Only like two bites of my food. That's it really. I don't get hungry until after the show. then depending on where the show is, we drive to the place OR we drive to the city while my mom is reserving a hotel room on the phone. All of this happens except on 8/25/09. I went dressed in whatever and looked like shit because my aunts friend gave me her ticket at last minute. And when I say last minute I mean LAST MINUTE. I got there during KYE.
Luli Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I try to listen to the whole discography. Not so easy when Green Day has so many Cd's. haha
Whatsername1911 Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I think the most important thing I do is poop. Then I'm ready!
Ashley! Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I dont really do anything but get dressed and make sure I have money.
