siobhan409 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 ... Does not compute. Where the hell is the 'like' button?!
addictedjamie Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Don't put a pack of Loveheart sweets in your boots. It hurts like fuck.
madddie Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I second that flying on your own is crap. Especially when your 'gig hungover' and the plane is full of screaming kids. Then walking round paris on your own getting leered at by horrible men. The things we do for our band Yeah it wasn't pleasant. What made it worse was that I had to leave the hotel for my flight at 5am the next day to get my flight home, but Ali was leaving 2 a half hours before that and I had to stay awake after she went because I broke my phone, and couldn't set an alarm and really couldn't miss my fight It was the last gig out of the 3 I went to, I just cried on the way to the airport.. by myself hahaha.
whatsername..x Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Next time i am at all the european shows. Apparently theres an arena bein built in leeds if they play there everyone can stay at mine haha. You should deffo come up north, better than the smelly south lol Haha* ah bless ya, that sounds wicked! will def take you up on that Ooh and that'd be really cool if they build an arena in Leeds!! I think our Sheffield one's the only one for miles!
cherrybomb! Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I make sure i've brought enough bitter for the journey and queeing, then make sure i've got enough money for the bar!
Ali Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Listen to Green Day alot of course. And I do this thing unintentionally where I quote a Green Day song when someone answers me a question, or is having a conversation with me. I like to just throw out Green Day lyrics real smoothly. My brother hates it, because I think he is the only one who notices.
mallorymaloney Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Where the hell is the 'like' button?! Bwahaha! Hey, you could always use the rep button as a substitute! Just a thought, just a thought ...
madddie Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Nothing at all. It's not a huge life changing event, it's just a gig The gig in London last year did actually change my life a little.
YehItsRyan Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 One thing not to do is wear a hoodie with a t-shirt over it, I done this at Glasgow on 21st June and ended up covered in more sweat than planned . I knew it was gonna be sweaty in there. Drink plenty of water, and always go to the toilet even if you don't need it just to empty your system . Don't look at videos of the concerts before hand, and play Green Day constantly to get you hyped up and take something funky to wear, glasses, hat or anything that will make you stand out.
bollard_11 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 The gig in London last year did actually change my life a little. Sorry Madison I just meant like theres nothing special I do to prepare, I have been to so many gigs like Plus I was in a bit of a mood when I origionally posted that
Isabel Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Nothing at all. It's not a huge life changing event, it's just a gig ...but it's a Green Day gig. There's a difference
madddie Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Sorry Madison I just meant like theres nothing special I do to prepare, I have been to so many gigs like Plus I was in a bit of a mood when I origionally posted that Ooo.. Paris was my last one too. I did all my bawling at the show. I was so glad to get home.
dumb shiny bitch Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Sleep out in the street the night before, talk to everyone til 4 in the morning, try and get some sleep, get woke up by security at 6 in the morning. Dont drink too much water because if you need to pee and you spent 26 hours queuing to get to the barrier the is no way in hell you are going to get back to the barrier. But you also don't wana pass out. Its all tactics Oh and Green Day and Redbull are not a good mix. Your tattoo is beautiful. That is all.
Alllllli. Radioactive1 Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Drink 2 litres of water. I learnt after the first show and nearly fainting to never not drink so little again. I was so scared of peeing so didn't drink but tbh in the heat and sweat you need all that water. So at LCCC and Wembley I drank 2 litres but only needed the loo once. And wear shorts and a vest top.
Ally Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Well if i was in the pit i would make sure i drank loads, i know what it feels like when you dont drink enough when your in the pit. But cos i was seated at the shows...and stood further back at the LCCC i just tend to jump around a bit and get all excited, and tell myself that green day are going to be on stage soon to get myself psyched up...never works i still turn into a teenie when i see billie walk across the stage xD This is key. Or you gotta have a secret weapon. I don't even want to go there. hmm a guy when i went to see papa roach, had a secret weapon...in the form of his beer cup/tumbler thing. And yes, it went all over the crowd infront of him, glad i was stood behind him.
VivaLaRosalee Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 i play hours of green day rock band and watch bullet in a bible.
StevieT Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 lol i feel like im the only one who doesnt drink before xoncerts incase i need to go to toilet.
xpoprocks&kittycatsx Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I always have these weird phases right before a Green Day concert. Like the 10 days before the show, I get really excited and crazy but when it comes closer and closer, I get nervous and dont wanna watch Green Day videos.. But I also think and put my outfit together, plan what I'm gonna eat the night before and the morning of the concert, make signs, etc.
ethanzh Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Well the first thing is, check your ticket time. cuz here in norway i went to go see them. and the ticket said 4:00 but green day didnt come on until 9:00
JaeStan1978 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Indulge myself in all things GD: CDs, videos, tapes, TV appearances, rare stuff, etc. Listen to nearly all of their albums Pick a GD shirt to wear Hope nothing really bad happens before, during and after the show Let the butterflies take over my stomach during their soundcheck ;-) -jae
Eighty. Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 It's difficult to choose which clothes i'm going to wear but I always have my spanish flag, green Spray (hair) and days-weeks before I cannot stop watching videos in youtube
♥PunkKitty♥ Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I'm going to my first Green Day show tomorrow. I'm listening to them and getting hyped about it, and hopefully I'll be able to buy some GD shirts before the show.
