Green Day to perform on Monday Night Football season opener

To be honest, I wish they were going to perform alone, and not with the AI cast.. or, which would be finkin' awesome, is if they did play with the cast, but not only played Last of the American Girls, but the LOTAG/She's a Rebel version. I'd love to hear Green Day playing that song with the cast!

Just saw that the official Green Day website confirmed the performance on Jimmy Kimmel will be the same as the Monday Night Football. Oh well Kind of weird he'll be replaying the same performance, unless their performance during Monday Night Football isn't going to be aired, which would be weird. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Was watching the pre-game show and it showed Green Day rehearsing. As it has already been stated, its Last of the American Girls with the AI cast. It sounded really good actually.

I wonder if they're going to do the LOTAG/She's a Rebel mash-up thingy, or just LOTAG... I'd think the first since that's what's in the musical and I don't think they've ever done LOTAG on its own anywhere ('they' being the cast), but on the other side, it's listed as LOTAG and it's both the cast and the band.

This past Thursday? Maybe they're showing halftime performances for the opening Thurs and Mon night games. It's not like they have major bands every week - so maybe.

Also, ESPN and ABC are owned by Disney. So actually it's logical that Kimmel would reshow this from an ESPN show. More exposure (money) for ESPN/ABC/Disney.

Seriously, even the brief preview with the cast sounded great. The cast was dancing around the stage and the women were singing along with Billie. I'm sure yall will like it once you see it lol.

It was just announced that tonight’s Jets-Ravens kickoff, scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EDT, has been delayed at least a half-hour by the steady rain and lightning that have moved over New Meadowlands Stadium and the East Rutherford, N.J., area.

Don't get me wrong, I fucking love seeing Green Day perform, and I adore the musical cast, but why in the world would they want to play a football game when they're clearly not 'welcome' by the majority of football fans ...? I dunno, it just seems like a strange choice to me ...

What happened? God usually wants to see his favorite band...maybe he's protesting the musical cast, lol. The storm that just passed here was wicked - I'm sure they'll play, just have to wait for the lightning to pass.
