XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 That was great! It looked like everyone was having a great time which was cool, really laidback but good. Everybody sounded awesome too. The cheerleaders around the stage was a also a nice effect.
Sanity Loan Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Hmmm..... the station airing Kimmel in my area must show it delayed. It's only on the octopus part right now
TaylorKlinke Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Hmmm..... the station airing Kimmel in my area must show it delayed. It's only on the octopus part right now SAme here.
GDLoT Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I'm in Minnesota and the Hoff is on right now. So waiting impatiently for our favorites guys! Just found this view of the performance from a distance. Cool fireworks at the end! I can why people were tweeting & complaining about the smoke afterwards but they didn't need to blame Green Day for it. They probably would've had fireworks for any band that would have played tonight being a home-opener and all. The rainy weather probably didn't help either.
TaylorKlinke Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Just saw it! Loved it. And I really want to see the musical, but at the same time I can't wait until Green Day starts performing by themselves again. But I know they're proud of it, and I'm proud for them and all they've accomplished. And Billie's new hair is just... Our boys just keep getting better looking with age.
GDLoT Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 this octopus cooking segment is gross. Just saw it! Loved it. And I really want to see the musical, but at the same time I can't wait until Green Day starts performing by themselves again. But I know they're proud of it, and I'm proud for them and all they've accomplished. And Billie's new hair is just... Our boys just keep getting better looking with age. I feel if alot fans saw the musical they would feel differently about the cast performing with them at events like this. AI is their baby and it's awesome! They need to help promote it and definitely very proud of it AS they SHOULD be! I'd love to see it again. I feel proud for them too! It's really amazing what they have accomplished. And yes they look terrific!
GDLoT Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 OK, first of all that was FANFLIPPINTASTIC!!!! "she's the last of THE..." with the ladies was superb! LOL at the guys having to hold on to those stage set pieces from below cuz they were rocking out so hard!!! Boy, did they shake! The guys did indeed look TERRIFIC! and Rebecca is HOT! They did good showing each of the guys playing too! I LOVE IT!
heartscollide Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 ohhhhhhhh Billie's hair is just great
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Ahh, great. Although the She's a Rebel parts sounded a bit weird, without the song completely going into She's a Rebel. Probably even weirder if you don't know She's a Rebel and also don't know how it's done in the musical and all. Can't wait for a full pro video.
RobyRoom Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Surely better than the performance at Jimmy Fallon, still I think the song wasn't appropriate for the event.
keefe Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 It was an average performance, but I think they needed a more 'in-your-face' song to pump up the crowd. Other than that, the guys looked great and sounded great, the AI cast was kinda just.. there for me.
lawrahday Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 it was so good but i couldn't really hear the AI cast :/ billie looked amazing, someone tell him to wear blazers more often!
heartscollide Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I can't stop watching it. I wish the AI cast's mics were louder though, it just looked like Billie was singing the whole thing and people were dancing around.
Katarina. Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Like I said yesterday in this thread, I had preferred if Green Day played alone, not with the cast. But fink yeah that was an awesome performance! Fucking awesome. I loved they added the She's a Rebel parts, I hoped they'd do that, but didn't expect them to! And Billie's hair.. what can I say..
Moffie Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I love Alysha's riffing! I feel like that needs to be said. I don't like how they (Jimmy Kimmel people/half-time people) sort of shoved the cast to the side by putting their mics so low. Happened at the Grammys and it happened here. I don't know...it just bothered me. It probably wasn't on purpose but that's what it seemed like to me.
Hermione Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 It was good Would've been even better without the AI cast. Although, I noticed in this instance they were more of just a backing/support to the band so I didn't mind them being there too much. When I could actually hear them (not very much with their mics so quiet ) their added musical-style bits did compliment the song/performance even if they're not my kinda thing. It worked
sampy Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 This was a great performance! I really liked it, though I wasn't really sure about LOTAG. But yeah like someone said, this was waaaaaay better performance than that LOTAG one in Jimmy Fallon few weeks ago. Cheerleaders was cool on the background
Smbcf Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I have no sound It looks awesome though and I admit I just fangirled slightly over Billie's hair I can't wait to hear it!
elisa Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I would have liked it better if they hadn't performed it with the AI Cast. Billie sounded great.
Abbey. Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Hysterical how BILLIE did the J-E-T-S chant. They must have been at the game for a while and heard the J-E-T-S JETS JET JETS a zillion times!
sara_gd Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 They did it so well, and they looked so happy, and... I loved it
Sanity Loan Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Here is my video on YouTube. Its in HD (if you turn it on) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMZKOfWCQDY Download the HD video: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T27XTS37
Alan86 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I didn't really like the cast being there. I have nothing against the cast at all and I would love to see the musical but it looked like there was no need for them to be at this at all. I really liked their performances together at the Grammys and at the Tonys because they were the right ocassions for joint a performance. This just felt like it was the wrong occasion
