Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I really love that one 'We' should also make signs referring GDC, somehow! Some ideas for the phrases ? :eyebrow: I think there isn't enough people from the next shows seeing this thread... I can only think of reeaally terrible and corny GDC phrases
KnowYour_Enemy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 just be careful while handing them out T-T the security stopped MCC from handing them out because she wasnt with the band. so the dallas show only had a few.
Metanoia Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 you could write on cloth and sneak it under the clothes and when youre in get it out .
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Or write it on a plastic bag. I am plastic bags as signs eternally grateful, haha.
Abbey. Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 Ughh yes at the Phoenix show I handed out some and just before we were going to be let in security said no thank you signs . But my dad was in the seats and he said he's sure he saw some go up at the end so I guess some people managed to sneak them in...that's good. i just used plain old 8.5 x 11 paper that i handed out to everyone that was on line during the day. everyone folded em up and stuck them in their pockets and then pulled em out at the end of the show. phoenix did "HO AS HELL". and they got a tweet about it. yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MCC Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 just be careful while handing them out T-T the security stopped MCC from handing them out because she wasnt with the band. so the dallas show only had a few. Yeah we were so pissed at security! We ended up passing them out to people around us during the show but no one held them up except for the people really close around us. I saw a few signs in the pit and saw Billie see them and smile so that's all that matters. We put a smile on Billies face so I am happy. If you have someone who is able to hold your place in line, you might try to hand out as many as possible before going in so they can't stop you. There were three different lines of people at our venue so my suggestion is to try to hit up every line of people if there are multiple areas so everyone can understand exactly what the plan is.
-Billiejoezee- Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I need ideas for a sign for tonight and Thursday lol

Tubbie Head Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 my cousin doesn't pick me up!! You don't have pit tickets right? I thought they would be starting already, but then I checked the time zones, and it's only in 3 hours or so right? and about the sign You could always write "You're ho as hell" in a piece of paper
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 You don't have pit tickets right? Afi starts in Two hours. Or I can write.... "you're the reason why california is ho as hell"
Tubbie Head Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Its 5:10 p.m or so. Afi starts in Two hours. Or I can write.... "you're the reason why california is ho as hell" haha nice, but I think it's a bit long, to put in the sign, that is.. Don't know if it will be visible from the stage.
Katarina. Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 haha nice, but I think it's a bit long, to put in the sign, that is.. Don't know if it will be visible from the stage. You could always make it shorter like "Cali and Billie are ho as hell"
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 You could always make it shorter like "Cali and Billie are ho as hell" ..... I like that. :eyebrow:
QuiteCrazy Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 i love this idea! they really deserve a big thank you, even if it is just a bunch of nice thank you signs
Whatsername1911 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 We did it in Detroit, and Mike looked directly at me and said "no, thank you." So amazing.
Tubbie Head Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 We did it in Detroit, and Mike looked directly at me and said "no, thank you." So amazing. awwwww I can only think of reeaally terrible and corny GDC phrases Me too, but it would be so cool if he referred it in a tweet, even if it's just "HI FROM GDC" idk..
~Ani~ Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 We did it in Detroit, and Mike looked directly at me and said "no, thank you." So amazing. That's awesome I remember reading a Green Day blog (Leisha's, I think) and the same thing happened to her, too. She screamed "THANK YOU" to Mike, he heard it and said "No, thank you " Haha gotta love this guy
JadedHaushinka Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 i just used plain old 8.5 x 11 paper that i handed out to everyone that was on line during the day. everyone folded em up and stuck them in their pockets and then pulled em out at the end of the show. phoenix did "HO AS HELL". and they got a tweet about it. yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, that's why Billie tweeted about that ho as hell part again. I was wondering why he said that again. Awesome! We did it in Detroit, and Mike looked directly at me and said "no, thank you." So amazing. Indeed amazing. How nice of him.
Katarina. Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 We did it in Detroit, and Mike looked directly at me and said "no, thank you." So amazing. Aw, that's so sweet
Laura! Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 We did it in Detroit, and Mike looked directly at me and said "no, thank you." So amazing. I didn't see how many people actually held theirs up. I did but I was too far away for them to see it.
Whatsername1911 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I didn't see how many people actually held theirs up. I did but I was too far away for them to see it. Yeah i lost most of my signs but i gave like 25 to the row behind me. Billie never looked over though. But Becky passed hers out to people along the rail, so that was cool. Mike saw mine because I held it up for another song before Good Riddance.
Katarina. Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 These aren't really 'Thank you' signs, but here's a very good picture of all the 'Awesome as fuck' signs at the Denver show on August 28!
Tubbie Head Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 It's so cool I hope everyone keeps doing this
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I made my ho as hell sign right now...
