The Platypus! Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I don't think they should because they'll be exhausted for their proper show and yes i think they should do a FBHT show in England .
Hermione Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 slightly off topic, but Idk where else to ask... how would a fbht tour work? show..hangover..show..hangover..show.. hangover..etc Its part of a fbht show, surely he wouldnt do some shows sober and others drunk. I'd hate to miss out on his drunken antics haha. Would he get hammered every night...continuously..for weeks? haha. thats gotta where you out? Someone explain the logisticsss They did a 10 show tour of the US in 2008 and I don't think any of those shows were sober . Apparantly they were all totally knackered and ill afterwards though, I think Billie said he got pneumonia. But I don't get the impression they regretted it, I think they loved every minute. Maybe not a long one, but a short tour can definitely work
in_your_face Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 well, i dunno. FBHT is a drunky type band, which is not suitable for Green Day shows. FBHT shows are better and more entertaining when they play it real low, y'know the drity stuff. :eyebrow:
28smooth Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 NO! That would be too much excitement for me for one night..! I might actually die lol BUT the tubbies should defo do a tour in the UK
St. Banana Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 They did a 10 show tour of the US in 2008 and I don't think any of those shows were sober . Adeline.Hearts.You Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Another Tubbies tour sounds great, but I don't think it would work (as well) if they opened up for Green Day. FHT just doesn't seem like an arena/stadium band. Of course I've never seen them live (), but I think it just works better and is a better experience in small venues. I know they played a couple of songs somewhat as an opener once, but I think it's just not the same. It would be awesome if they did it anyway, though. But I'd rather have a tour. That too yeah i agree with what you are saying about the tubbies not being a stadium band, but it could work.. But i think it would depend on what songs they played. They have onpend for green day before, and so have the network, But i can't imagen the tubbies being the same, opening for green day as they are normaly. But, i would relaly love to see the tubbeis live!
Brian Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Its best if they keep the Tubbies as a secret show kind of band. I don't think it would help the bands image if they opened for themselves.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 yeah i agree with what you are saying about the tubbies not being a stadium band, but it could work.. Adeline.Hearts.You Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 The Network have opened for Green Day? I didn't know that! Yeah. I'm pretty sure they did, i read it in this book. And Adeline and stuff were talking about it, to mtv. I think they did and this guy who was back stage was like the boys palyed two shows in one night. Also i think green days management refused to comment on the ongoing fudes between the band but confirmed they would open for them.. or something like that. So, i'm not 100% sure if it happend, but their was alot of talk about it.. this was back in around 2005, aha so long ago.
bat-chen Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Yeah. I'm pretty sure they did, i read it in this book. And Adeline and stuff were talking about it, to mtv. My sister and I used to make fun of this situaion... we said that Billie forget to take off his make when they preform as Green Day and a little kid shout "hey! Green Day are the Netwok!" and Billie Joe get freaked out cause he doesn't want that people will know his secret but what he doesn't know that people already know

But the boys must of done a hell of a job to open for them selves then paly a two horus of whatever set! Hardest working band in rock aand roll! XD
bat-chen Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Ahahaah lol, yeah i remeber thinking like what if they forget to change shoes, or masks or w/e! XD I know! how in hell they didn't get so tired?! amazing
Adeline.Hearts.You Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I know! how in hell they didn't get so tired?! amazing ahah, well when reading about it.. it was alot of beer. And just the high of performing. Also buckets of sweat..
bat-chen Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 ahah, well when reading about it.. it was alot of beer. And just the high of performing. Also buckets of sweat.. In ather words.. the drugs helped
FHT2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Wow...that's a tough one. If that's the only way I will ever get to seem them live...then yes! Although, of course, I would much rather see them at a small club. Two sets in one night (especailly with all that P.B.R.) would be pretty exhausting.
GuitarPunk94 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 "foxies" at mainz, germany, with "its fuck time" were awesome *.* it was just amazing to see them playing that song live
Adeline.Hearts.You Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 In ather words.. the drugs helped in all honesty .. most probs when ever i hear green day and drugs reminds me of this one conert where billie said something like "how ya doing tonight, ahh i can smell some of that good northen california marijuana out their tonight" ahaha
Dry_Ice Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I don't think Billie could sober up that quickly. I think you're right! It would be great if they did... but I picture FBHT as a small venue type band. A large arena wouldn't work for their vibe or music.
saraHsunshine Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Ok. I actually thought about this and I would rather they host an after party then open for them. I mean, who wouldnt love a Green Day concert followed by a booze filled after party at some dingy club!?
Hermione Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 ^ Or a show at some dingy club afterwards , I definitely loved that. I seriously don't know where they got the energy to play two shows in a row like that, but I hope they do it again. The Network have opened for Green Day? I didn't know that! The have indeed! The Network opened for Green Day at 3 shows in California and Las Vegas in 2005. I've never seen any footage or heard about it from anyone who was there though, which is weird. I'd love to see some footage of that!
