badwolf Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Why? They're the same people, why the hell would they open for themselves? That'd be stupid. Everyone would think they're cheap getting themselves to perform before themselves. It's blasphemy on a stick, I say. But in nice terms, they should have a fbht tour, but then that'd mean they should make a new album under the foxboro name.
Kayfabe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 That's like inviting yourself to your own birthday party. And being the only guest. They did in Manchester last year. Lucky buggers. Yes and no. fdjkslfjdsklfjsdklfjksdljksld ME WANTZ A TUBBEHZ TOURR No they didn't!! That was Frank Turner!
Comedy & Tragedy Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Nah. As most people said, they're a small venue group. They do more intimate shows. If Green Day are playing a stadium for example, then a lot of people won't know the Foxies, and will either be confused, or will just think it's Green Day with a different name. Not to mention, having to open the show, and then play a full set, the guys probably wouldn't have it in them. Baring in mind, by the end of most Foxies shows, The Rev is completely hammered
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 No they didn't!! That was Frank Turner! Ahem. Foxboro Hot Tubs opening up for Green Day in Manchester last year.
Alllllli. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 No. They're two completely different shows suited to two completely different venues. I like a song slotted in randomly, but a set... no.
mandajane Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 The tubbies are more of a small venue band. this. but the network should open for green day
Smbcf Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 No. Although I admit I was gutted when the Tubbies opened up in Manchester the night after I was there, because I'd of loved to of seen them. I think the one of the reasons why the Tubbies work so well is because they play such small, intimate venues.
♥PunkKitty♥ Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 As much as I'd love to see a Hottubs show, it would probably be too hard on them.
StevieT Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I dont think they should as it would ruin the hype for when "green day" actully come on.
Empty Laughter Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I dont think they should as it would ruin the hype for when "green day" actully come on. this. but I would really like to see a FHT world tour in bars so I can see them playing live & also ear about the Network after so long would be nice
FannyDefoe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think Green Dax should open up for the Hot Tubs XD but honestly? billie joe has too much energy that's a fact, right?...but I doubt that even billie wouldn't survive that
StevieT Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 this. but I would really like to see a FHT world tour in bars so I can see them playing live & also ear about the Network after so long would be nice I would love to se the network live !! But there shows are even harder to get in than FBHT !!!
Lu_S Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 No. - Billie would never stay sober so fast, to the point of doing the show! - They would not be able to complete the show. It takes a lot of the person, their show is very dynamic and they need to be 100% physically. - I find hard to believe that they would be able to do more than one or two shows in that rhythm. It would be great, but impossible.
FannyDefoe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 i don't think anybody would survive that... but it would be definetly worth dieing for
Empty Laughter Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think Green Dax should open up for the Hot Tubs XD but honestly? billie joe has too much energy that's a fact, right?...but I doubt that even billie wouldn't survive that I think he had. they played after GD in London one time, I think. or was it backwards? actually can't remember
FannyDefoe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think he had. they played after GD in London one time, I think. or was it backwards? actually can't remember yeah..I know... I wonder how they got up the next morning...certainly their heads were banging^^
Mrs. Nobody Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 this. but the network should open for green day NOOOOO D: aha i see the network as a ~club band
carasway Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 a) never going to happen, and no matter how super human the boys are, they cant pull it off.. and b) lets be serious - as fans, would we survive back to back FBHT and then GD? The other way around i could do, but you have to be on the same level to truly get into a Tubbies show - I know i couldnt sober up enough to appreciate GD afterwards. (that said - i'm always open to trying)
Smbcf Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 yeah..I know... I wonder how they got up the next morning...certainly their heads were banging^^ Didn't they announce the London + Manchester stadium dates the morning after the FBHT london show? Or have I imagined that? But yeah, heads must certainly of been banging
Kayfabe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Ahem. Foxboro Hot Tubs opening up for Green Day in Manchester last year. fuck orff. they played SALLY?! wow how am i learning about this now
JohannaRaeRamone. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 In theory it sounds great, but it just wouldn't work right. Maybe as a one song encore or something. The Network could open up for Green Day. If, you know, by chance they were in the same city or something. :eyebrow: Haha think of how confused the not-big-fans would be. That would be hilarious.
iwroteholdencaulfield! Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think the best would be if the Tubbies gave a concert after the Green Day one. If I'm right, they did it last year in London and maybe somewhere else, too. ^this but they should only do it like once a week beacuse they would be all tired
JadedHaushinka Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 ^this but they should only do it like once a week beacuse they would be all tired Yeah and also, over drinking is bad and unhealthy.
Radioactive1 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I would love that. Don't think it's physically possible though haha.
