Maria_ Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I'm not a person who usually cries, but yes, in the concert in Paris I cried during the last three songs. The day after the show I cried again because it was my last time seeing them in a long time.
Tubbie Head Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 For what I remember I cried when I knew they would be playing here, and then when I had the tickets in my hands, it was just an awesome feeling that, of course I would have to cry, then, the day I won the soundcheck pass I was so happy, so I cried, and screamed and omg Idk, I just went crazy like I had never been before, then, a couple of nights before the show, then, when I first saw them, at the soundcheck, gosh, BJ was singing "Sing us the song of the century, that sings like American Eulogy" , and the whole song was just gah , the show, I cried during Static Age, Before the lobotomy, 21 Guns, Last Night On Earth and ToYL.. After the show, also cried and had a post concert depression. Every time I watch youtube videos of the show I went I cry or almost, so I just try not to see them anymore. I'm such a crying baby. Don't worry, I am always like that.
Comedy & Tragedy Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 To be honest, even though I knew it would be a great night, I didn't expect myself to cry until way after the show. I was on the verge of crying as I was waiting to get to the stage, and I was certain that 21st Century Breakdown was gonna set me off. But, come the moment they came on stage, I was too excited to cry. I just stared at them, never being more happy in my life. Even come the more emotional songs, I managed to stay sane. 21 Guns, I was crying on the inside, but no tears. It was so amazing, and I knew that the perfect day was nearly over. The acoustic encore, I was gone. Just as Billie made that speech about how much Green Day means to him, it set me off, knowing that Green Day will always be there for me. I know some people think it's silly to cry at a concert, but the combined emotion of complete happiness, the feeling of knowing the end of the night is near, and just realizing how perfect the moment is. It takes a lot to make me cry in a situation like that, but this really did it. And I loved every second of it something like this lmao I spend the first half laughing and the second half thinking about old memories
JohannaRaeRamone. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 If you don't cry it's just not the whole experience. Green Day wrap their fingers around your heartstrings, it's such a rush of sentiment and happiness actually being there experiencing them with people that feel the same as you. I love crying at shows, I'm disappointed if I dont. What really suprised me was that the song I cried during the most was during American Eulogy/Modern World, screaming "I don't give a shit about the modern age" with Mike and a bunch of strangers meant a lot to me because I feel very disjointed and scornful towards my generation. Knowing that I wasn't the only one in the world was kind of provoking I guess, even though it's not usually a emotive song. I also cried last weekend, kind of for Green Day but I wasn't able to go to Lollapalooza but was cooincidentally in Chicago for a school tour. We ended up driving by the Lolla grounds and I heard/saw Social Distortion, and screamed and just cried out of happiness and then remorse because I knew I should have been there listening to them and ready for GD.
Nele Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I've never cried during a Green Day show, not even during Good Riddance at my last show of the tour. I'm not a person who cries because of happiness. Don't get me wrong, their shows were all incredibly amazing and I've never felt so happy in my whole life, I just never feel like crying. I rather smile the biggest smile I can. Well, actually I did cry when I sat down in the train back home and I realized everything was over and I was just so tired, everything hurt and I already missed everyone.
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I've never cried at a GD show. It's just not that kind of emotion. Not even happy tears.
Billie Kristy Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 As far as I can tell I've never really cried at/before or after one of their shows. It's not that it aint a emotional happening to me, It's just that I don't really cry a lot. One stupid fact; The firework at their shows always give me the chills.
Maddy. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 lol i cried during the whole show pretty much and when we walked out the building and in the car home and hours after i got home and everytime i watch a youtube video or even think about the show ~
Radioactive1 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I didn't cry at Birmingham, Manchester of LCCC. I scoffed at people who did. && then it got to Wembley and 21 guns and I cried my fucking heart out because I knew it was near the end and I knew I wouldn't see them then for years. It upset me soo much and I cried all the way then till the end. I watch videos from then and it still makes me cry.
keefe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I screamed like a big girl when Green Day came out, all the lights were off and I was about to see the band of my life for the first time. Then Tre comes bursting out and going crazy, and then my icon and inspiration Billie Joe walks out and stands center stage. And that's when I just grinned uncontrollably.
Johannamunter Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I cried so much during the concert at Wembley stadium
Guest Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Not cried my eyes out, but a few little tears of glee slipped out the first time I saw them live, after 12 years of life getting in the way. It was at the SBC Park show in 2005 during TOYL. When I saw them again last year at Arco Arena I got misty eyed, but tears didn't fall.
heartscollide Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Surprisingly, I haven't so far. I think Green Day just gives me so many positive emotions and the things I associate with Green Day are all happy and amazing. And when I cry it's usually from anger, frustration or sadness.
whatsername343 Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I cried at the Munich and Mainz shows I think i was just to hyper at the shows before....After the Dortmund one i was just shocked and couldn't sleep and after Pinkpop i had metal stuck in my eye >_< so i kind of cried their to But at Munich it was all to overwhelming and Mainz....well the most memorable show ever...and Billie playing pulling teeth acoustic.....damn
Heather! Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I thought I was going to be sobbing uncontrollably when they came out, but it was actually a really different feeling than what I expected. I suppose it was all of the adrenaline and excitement. I did cry when they started playing Paper Lanterns though, and during When It's Time.
UnderClassHero Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 i cried because i missed out on going to their 2009 concert in nz, and who knows when the hell they'll come back.. > but i know for sure i would cry at a green day concert, because i did that during bullet in a bible and everytime i see them win grammys on youtube, roflmao.

ScreamsInSilence815 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 When I saw them the first time, I almost cried when they first came out. But when it got to the end of the show and they played Good Riddance, I lost it because I didn't want the night to end.
28smooth Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I usually cry at the end coz I don't want it to end....ever.........!! In prague this year I lost it during When September Ends for some reason....
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I usually don't cry at the show- but when I think back on it, I'll get a little teary eyed.
Rebel07 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I usually tear up multiple times throughout the show and I cry during the acoustic encore, just cause I know its about to end and I want to savor it. It's such a bittersweet feeling
BringMoreKnives Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 When they first came onstage, yes i did. it was like "Holy crap, after 5 years of waiting, there they are!!"
Ally Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Think i cried at all 3 shows...at different points xD First show was the first time was saw them so when they come on stage i cried so bad Second show i cried when they sing 21 guns (reminds me of my dad), didnt effect me the night before or at the LCCC show, just this one, i cried so much my friend ended up hugging me.
